The YouTube interview thread
I often watch the new interviews on YouTube and some of them are pretty good but not worthy of having a thread dedicated to them, I thought it might be worth sticking any decent interviews or videos that you come across in one place.
Whyte actually comes across quite well in this, I've not watched it all, I'm about 15 minutes into it but it might be worth a watch.

As I say chaps, any recent interviews that may be of interest stick them in here.
P.s. if anyone else does decide to contribute to the thread make sure to give a brief run down of what the video is about as @Masters kids won't let him watch YouTube videos that are any longer that 5 minutes

Nothing amazing or even all that interesting was said but I still enjoy watching shit like this.
Hayes body is giving up on him which can happen to boxers who are ripped all the time
Neither Haye or Bellew are heavyweights,
Bellew has no right being in the division because he has openly said that he doesn't want to fight the big heavyweights
He can't understand all the shit about AJ's racist tweets, he says he is a bit of a bastard but he thinks he was hacked because it just doesn't make sense
If it was any other boxer then they would have made a bigger thing of it but because AJ is the golden boy he gets a free pass from the media
He speaks sensibly about Fury and who his comeback fight should be against
Eeerrrrrrrrrr I can't really remember much else...oh and he says that boxers are too concerned about going unbeaten and they don't want to fight each other even though more top match ups would generate more money in the long run and would be better for boxing

Re: The YouTube interview thread
Not an interview and not actually boxing although its still relevant.
I never realized just how tough it was on a fighter when they are cutting weight, I knew it could take its toll but this is fucking frightening, for some reason I just can't picture Ginger Pubes being in this sort of state when he is cutting.
Although the dude is trying to cut from 185lbs to 145lbs, I I'd be right in saying that Canelo wasn't dropping quite as much as that when he was fighting at Canelo weight.

Re: The YouTube interview thread
I am sure Canelo had help with dodgy scales, longer period to rehydrate, special pills, and friendly sanctioning bodies/regulators to make sure he was OK to make weight.

This flashed up on my YouTube recommended list
I didn't even know that Price fought last night, it wasn't on telly as far as I know
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlYRD2GBOPo
Even though he is a big lummox at least he doesn't talk like a prick, he knows what people think of his as a fighter and he knows how difficult it will be to get his name in the mix again.

Might be bit off topic but found a small behind the scenes account of Tim Anderson-Gastineu fiasco. Seedy episode in B, C side of boxing and the manufacturing of a phony.

Boxing on Sky Sports on Wednesday (I didn't know about that)
My favourite boxer of all time Teddy Cheesehead will be returning to the ring on Wednesday as well
Katie Taylor is on the card, she is 'one of the biggest stars in world boxing' don't look at it as mens boxing and womens boxing just watch it 'she fights like fuck'
Loma v Rigo wasn't a big fight because of the way that they have been built up, Loma is a name but Rigo has been poorly promoted and hype sells
on DeGale - the worse thing you can do in boxing is be a free agent, no one gives a fuck about you in the business, because he was a free agent that is why there was no rematch clause, Warren doesn't give a shit. DeGale should quit if he doesn't have the desire.
Hughie Fury v Dillian Whyte - its close to being done, it is being held up because the Fury's are waiting on Parker, hopefully AJ v Parker will be announced before Xmas
Last time Warren sold over 7000 tickets was when Chisora fought Haye and that was in 1949 lolz
Eddie didn't want Kell Brook to fight Rabchenko, thinks that Brook doesn't need a come forward fighter with a punch but Brook wanted it.

Re: The YouTube interview thread
Fair Play mate, this is a good thread What I can't work out is all of a sudden Hughie Fury wants to fight Dillian Whyte. When they were supposed to fight for the British Title last year, Peter Fury said "We'll step aside, Dillian has been part of our team , it would be like fighting against Family." These Furys come out with some Bollocks , fair play. and for Tyson's latest trick............http://www.boxingscene.com/tyson-fur...-delay--123324

Re: The YouTube interview thread
Cheers Primo, I'll keep sticking the odd video in here as long as people think it is worth it, I know that not everyone will sit down and listen to Eddie Hearn blather on for 30 minutes at a time.
Fury is just taking the piss, he has no intentions of boxing again, he is just having and having a laugh at everyone who thinks he is serious about making a return.
I reckon that the Fury's know that Whyte could make a fair few quid for them with the promotion that Sky would provide, after Parker there isn't much left for them, Hearn said they are trying to get Parker again and then in the next breath he says that he could be announcing AJ v Parker any time now.

chats shit about Loma v Rigo - no need to go into that because we know how it went
asked why he moved up to 147 he says he is continuing his legacy and career, he cleared out 135 and 140 now its time to do the same at 147
says Jeff Horne wouldn't be a tune up fight for 147
Says Spence is a good fighter but he's not indistructable and that everyone has their flaws and he will exploit them
doesn't rule out moving to 154 in the future

Re: The YouTube interview thread
Hearn is obviously going to say that about free agent because it puts him out of business.
It is easy to talk crap when you have an exclusive fat contract with sky who promote the crap out of a fight and coerce people to sign up with you.
Brook said that he regrets taking on GGG.

What he says actually makes sense though, DeGale signs for Warren for 1 fight, is Warren going to be bothered about sticking a rematch clause in the fight contract if he might not be promoting it?
Hearne says that if DeGale came to him for 1 fight then he wouldn't break his neck promoting it if DeGale could walk off and sign with Warren for the next fight.
Sign with a promoter and it is in their best interests to promote the shit out of you to maximizetheir own profit and get the most return

It obviously makes sense for Eddie but not for a boxer who wants to make the best fights happen for the most money possible. That is not always with one promoter. Degale may never had a rematch clause in any of his recent fights.

Nice simple one for you. Out of the top 20 fighters in the World, how many are free agents?

Re: The YouTube interview thread
I know Cotto was but that just proves my case anyway, they are tied to promoters unnecessarily.

Being a free agent is fine......if you keep winning. But another little nugget for you, how many fighters end their career unbeaten? Of course, your Mate (you know, the "F" Word! ;D) was, and he was a free agent, and he was very successful. But who else?

Complete ass, needs to be knocked out in 2018 and retired.

Re: The YouTube interview thread
Just saw this video and thought it was pretty funny, didn't deserve its own thread so I thought I'd resurrect this one.
Benns face at 1:08 when Whyte says he isn't won't punch him because he doesn't want to knock out a legend.
