I JUST found out Chocolatito got KTFO

I haven't had time to following boxing as intensely as usual over the last few months and just found out now that Roman lost his rematch with Wangek.

I assume this has already been discussed to great length but WOW, what an upset! Wangek's record seems to be built up entirely by no names over in Thailand, then he comes over and beats HBO's golden boy and p4p king twice in a row. Unreal!

Did anyone see Wangek before the Chocolatito fights? Just wondering if anyone possibly saw this coming.

Or was Chocolatito just way too overhyped?

Yes it was a huge upset as we thought it was a fluke win the first time but the second loss was emphatic.

I think he was just too small. Only so much you can move up and in both fights Roman couldnt hurt the Thai and eventually got walked down. I was surprised Chocolito didnt get the nod in the first fight which would have allowed him to avoid the rematch and loss on record. Monster would flatten him though so maybe its for the best.

Definitely too small for superfly. He looked out of condition, flabby and like he'd lost at least a step too. Not the same guy who fought Estrada that's for certain. He wasn't overhyped, he was the real deal past tense. He's just moved up too much in weight and put too many miles on the clock. Even three pounds is a massive jump in weight for the little lads.

He's looked pudgy and puffy in last few fights and it all came crashing down on him with a tank who now knew he could force a war.

I had seen Wangek against Caudras and thought he was unlucky it was stopped on a cut. He was really coming on and giving Carlos hell. Thought Gonzalez won the first fight, so expected him to win the rematch. Weight, death of his trainer, age, wars etc all caught up at once it seems.

Not overhyped, just past his sell by date by accumulation and weight. Best of him is long gone.

Well that's a shame for Gonzalez, if that's the case he had a very brief stay near the top of the sport.

True, although his efforts have given attention to the smaller weights and created the way for SuperFly 2.

I heard Choco was in line for a milllion dollar payday against Nicola Adams.

I heard Choco was being lined up to be Loma's next opponent.

I did not expect him to get iced like he did in the rematch the first fight was life and death back and forth fight. Would not call the guy best boxer in the world but the fight was on the fun side to watch hope he made some good money.
