FS1 fight night: Elbiali v Pascal-Perrella v Martin-Big Juicer Ortiz v Martz

Decent card on a much needed Friday night of fisticuffs. Interesting main event with undefeated one man wrecking crew Ahmed Elbiali 16-0 taking his first big test with long in the tooth Jean Pascal 31-5-1. Two totally different ends of careers here. Not entirely sold much on Elbiali. Big heart big punch but still raw and seriously lacks quality rounds. Pascal looks to be well on the other side but I'm stubbornly stuck on experience and if he keeps a level head and avoids exchanging should be too cagey :-X.

Welterweights Alex Martin 13-2 and 14-1 Bryant Perrella face off in co main. Also they have managed to slide Luis Ortiz into a tv spot to fill cancelled Dawson-Rodriquez slot. He fights a biggun one Daniel Martz 16-5-1. Card kicks off in 40 minutes Fox Sports 1.

Undefeated Stephen Fulton 11-0 v Adam Lopez 8-0 first up.

Fulton could do a paint job if 1st any indication. Much sharper guy, Lopez seriously coming on though late 2nd round! Has Fulton rocked. Won that round right back.

??? No shit...Lopez the son of hard battler Olympic medalist Hector Lopez RIP. One who boxed the ears a bit of a young Kostya Tszyu. 2-1 Fulton so far.

Nose of Lopez really mashed up in 4th. Fulton very ring aware, pot shotting and getting away. Lopez trying switch hitting and roughing up, very good combo early 5th for Lopez. Fulton has spots where his back hits the ropes and he just stops. Fulton with glossy right but Lopez walks through and fires back.

Lopez needs something devastating. Fulton separating the skill gap in 6th and 7th, starting to get cocky and stand in front for sharp counters.

Better final round for Lopez and pressure until the bell but surely not enough. Score in at 76-76..78-74..77-75 Fulton.

Perrella and Martin opening bell. Martin still hasn't cut that hair. Long year out for Perrella.

:o Perrella drops him hard! Martin smaller and far less confident of the two. Huge right hook caught Martin flush

Perrella pretty smart aggression here, double jab to hook body to one-two up top. Walking down Martin all of 2nd and picking his shots. Don't know if Martin has anything to keep him off or at least make him blink but he better find it quick!

Wilder in crowd to watch Ortiz, they cut this to 8 rounds to give Ortiz co main spot. WBC will have Ortiz as mandatory before we're opening gifts Christmas morning, no doubt :p.

Perrella less active 3rd but still in control. 3-0

Sharp jab comes to life for Martin start of 4th, then gets rocked by Perrella. Martin moves really well but Perrella does the moving when he connects and harder shots. Posturing by Martin end of round. Have Perrella 4-0

I must be watching a different fight than PBC crew on the mic. "Even fight"..not so much :-X. Martin is punching from the backseat with a few counters but hardly asserting a tide turn here. Perrella simply needs to let the hands go off jab. 5-0 Perrella

Not pretty in 7th both slow, Martin with more crisp counters and Peter Pans it to get away. Perrella needs to mash the gas in final round, 5-2 Perrella

When Perrella gets off Martin shuts down but doing little in 8th. He'll be kicking himself in the hotel room later if he trusts these judges. Good shots and sturdier Martin takes final round.

Have 5-3 Perrella plus knockdown..tale of two halves.

Scores in at 79-72 x2...77-74 Perrella! Wow..didn't think they'd give him that wide. Next time I change a prediction someone kick me ;D.

Wilder..and company..clearly building up Ortiz match even after saying Ortiz should be 'outta here' from sport???. He don't want none of AJ and they'll keep it in house to make Ortiz. Whole thing is a bamboozle

Main event on! Elbiali with a hard right has Pascal ducking in. Pascal going hook happy. Elbiali definitely with strength here

Pascal returns a couple of hooks end of 1st and Elbiali just stands there. Pascal boxes he's got this but he's once again looking questionable on rickety legs. Elbiali round

Apparently Pascal announced this his retirement fight, didn't know that one. Just landed a huge counter right on Elbiali who just walks in.

Defensive lapses glowing on Elbiali, he's a bull and Pascal goes free swinging for fences end of round and Pascal backs him down and tunes him up a bit. 1-1

Box Pascal ffs. Elbialis defense for the right is hoping to not go down from it, soaking some up! Pascal laying in with him and will not win a battle of strength. Pascal digs to his body well and again lands one-two hooks. 2-1 Pascal

Woah! Massive left hook counter rocks Elbiali hard. Helluva chin but Pascal timed him perfectly. Scrappy fight over 4 and both slowing. Pascal punching through his holes.

Ref with big warning to both for wrestling, have Pascal 3-1 but these days every round could be last. Elbiali needs to get off behind straight punches.

Pascal forcing him back mid 5th and again just whips wide right hands that find Elbiali on ropes. Elbiali clinches and backs to corner, covers up and bends at knees???. Pascal is playing with him a bit now. Wow.

Elbiali looks like a guy with 101 questions right now, corner almost has to talk him up a bit. Pascal digs the body and rings in uppercut early 6th. Again Elbiali with the holding and less punching. Elbiali looks bad

Ortiz looked a monster against a handpicked opponent. Great win for Pascal! Good for him! He deserved to go out on a win over a prospect.

Yeah good on pascal to go out on a win. He like like a shopworn fighter and if that Egyptian guy could fight Pascal would have taken a L last night but luckily the guy didn't want to know. Nice finish from Jean to top a very entertaining career

good to see Luis Ortiz back. Class heavyweight and good to have him back in the mix as a real threat to the top guys. He was abit slow and sloppy but all he needed was that 1 punch. He came forward til he found it. Fingers crossed he makes it the wilder fight without anymore failed drugs tests. I'd say the chances of that are 50-50
