Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Well it's Friday and it's a fight site so just doing something new and watching some fights ;D. I like Jamal James as a fighter, fun rangy style and coming off brutal ko of Chaves. Cherry has been a road warrior for what seems like decades now. Not sure how much I'll catch as apparently we're about to start bombing Syria tonight :p. Card starts now on Fox Sports 1.

Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Undefeated Chris Colbert with neon green high top fade taking on 11-0 Austin Dulay first fight up. Colbert looks like a character, very sharp early. Dulay looks half asleep.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Colbert switches righty and switches back to rip off 3 punch combo that rocks Dulay. Dulay a step behind these first two rounds.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Colbert much quicker and able to turn Dulay in both directions, looks to mostly punch in combination also. Pretty sharp jab and times Dulay with nice right uppercut as he walks in.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Gap in skill really beginning to widen. Dulay trying to cut him off early 5th but Colbert rolls out behind the jab to head and body. Dulay looks highly frustrated shaking his head talking to himself .
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Oh Dulay finally lands significant short left start 6th and Colbert smirks and shakes his head.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Dulay best moment keeps Colbert in corner but Colbert punches way out and backs Dulay straight back. Dulay dropped! Makes it up rounds end. My cable or this station is seriously glitching in spots. Irritating as hell.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
7 fights is very early but this kid has something going. Long sharp jabs and rips combos high off shoulders and underneath, very confident guy. In full control entering final round.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Annnd it's stopped in corner. Dulay arguing stoppage , ref asked him something and didn't like his answer. Colbert giving him a one on one atta boy ring center and keeping it professional raising Dulays hand.

Good posting m8. Canadian TV is crapped for boxing, so I'm not getting to see many of these.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
:o Next fight up Sebastion Fundora is a 6'6 jr middleweight. Fighting one 9-0 Ve Shawn Owens here. Both swapping big leather in 1st. Fundora extremely gangly to say the least but ripping uppercuts from his shoes. Hurts Owens as round ends!

Thanks dude, cable here is in and out due to incoming storm but we'll see what happens.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Owens trying to land uppercuts on Fundora is almost comical. Get that man a ladder! Ref has his hands full in 2nd. Fundora is a monster from underneath with his own uppers.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
No chance of Fundora ever fighting his height but very effective with both hands, choppy awkward shots. Owens really laying in and having his best round in 3rd. Caught Fundora with a massive right hook and standing that tall it's very showy. Plows in and lands another rounds end. Fun gritty scrap.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Might be the tallest under 160ish ever seen? Maybe. And he's a southpaw! What a nightmare. Owens looks bit tired end of 4th and leaving his feet at times trying to land big hooks. Owens trying to smother inside but right in the wheel house for those uppercuts. Owens hurt mid 5th
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Owens not lacking grapefruits but being battered second half of 5th! Fundora really can put punches together and hit him at range and closed underneath. Ref steps in and fights over!
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
18 yr old Joey Spencer just absolutely pulverizes some fella in the 1st round. 3 knockdowns
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Time for Edner Cherry and Dennis Galarza to go at it. Cherry on good run but with long layoff, Galarza big step up here.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Real strong opening round by Galarza, hurt him badly with repeated right hands. Cherry warned for holding on but can't blame him.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Galarza controlling over 2. Man that's a tough, fighter with Cherrys experience taking job at Wal Mart to make extra scratch. Galarza has no problems landing rights again as 3rd ends. Cherry has to get into his body. Don't like how Cherry is reacting on end of some punches.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Cherry with better 4th. Really needs to take these round at halfway point, make it up close and personal. Galarza looks fresh and jab active.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Galarza higher volume and more choices. Cherry ripping off short hooks in spurts. Lands big late 6th. Cherry comes out strong in 7th and roughs him up with nice uppercut. Galarza starting to lay in more and being clipped hard!
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Have Cherry taking 6th and 7th and getting off hard right hands. Free swinging at rounds end by Cherry and looks much sturdier here.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Galarza holding on and very vocal when he gets off. Cherry sneaks him with small uppercuts and controls him when close. Ref little bit too involved with all of these breaks. 8th Cherry
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Ohhh huge right rocks Galarza. Cherry a bull here with cagey maneuvering. Ref needs to really shut up here ;D. Breaking every 10 seconds and Cherry resetting constant. Galarza looks tired. 9th Cherry
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Cherry stronger in second half of fight and doing damage. Galarza flailing in like a new born Giraffe late. He's getting breaks with slow corner, ref playing 3rd dance partner and now long break to "fix" his tape. Cherry needs to go all in 10th
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
They're gonna screw Cherry, I have him 96-94 with much better overall work rate and harder cleaner power shots second half plus the 4th. He got touched very early but pulled away me thinks. And the ref sucks ;D
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
97-93..96-94 x2...Ahhhh Cherry! Alright so they didn't screw him ;D. Very strong win for Cherry and lets see what he can do next out
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
James fighting that range more and having strong 1st and 2nd behind his jab. Gets Ramos pinned and tees off. Ramos in for a long number of rounds here. Ramos rocked and responds with hard hook.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Not sure if he hurt him there but James got clocked with hard counter and stood stock still for a second and gets 'pushed' down. need a replay
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Probably delayed KD but we get no replay ???.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Ramos undersized but closing the distance very well in 3rd, James keeping it mobile and shooting long 1-2s. Ramos needs to get to work that close. Might have taken 3rd. Next Saturday with Broner and Vargas. Actually a good match up.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Two styles mixing well in 4th and Ramos not just here to pad some guys record. Some good moments for Ramos but activity and punch selection for James. James is definitely feeling the pressure. Left eye of Ramos going bad
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
First full on attack for James mid 5th. Backed Ramos to corner and unleashed. Still he swings so big at times James leaves himself just hanging out there. Ramos starting to feel the waters rise.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Movement and volume of James really stepped up 6th. Head slipping smart, like to see him settle a bit and get behind rapid straight shots. Ramos has to kick in the door because he's getting chewed up outside. James tearing into him late 7th with 3,4,5 left hooks.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
James really has a little bit of buzz saw Paul Williams going. Ramos digs to gut of James with lefts and James not so active! Huge shot by James gets Ramos off, scrappy 8th and both took turns.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
Head butt cut on James. I'll say it now...pick a style James. He's winning but he's going to pay heavy tax in fights like this.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
James shaking his right hand out, Ramos busted up under both eyes but has strong moments last couple rounds. James away from jab and combinations and feeling it here. Strong run by James last minute and rocks Ramos who bores right back in with hooks, helluva fight at the bell.
-
Re: Fight Night FS1: Cherry v Galarza~James v Ramos
James had to work for this....95-95...96-94 x2...that was way to close. 147 is a shark tank and James now top spot for Thurman? Nice scrap. Time for a drink :-X
