FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Always look forward to seeing 9-0 Nyambayar and he gets a decent test in hard nail Oscar Escandon 25-3 in co main event. Also Eddie Ramirez 17-1 is coming off his first loss and meets former trinket holder Argenis Mendez 24-5-1.
Also anyone with updates links and or info on Ancajas and Yafai bouts fell free to pile in. More the merrier. Carmona comes in near 4 lbs over at weigh in ffs :p.

Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Justin Pauldo v Joshua Zuniga 8 rnds to kick it off. Zuniga looks like a distant cousin of Diego Corrales RIP.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Battle of wait and see counter punchers here. Zuniga longer southpaw and Pauldo with faster hands and decent right counter. He'll have to make the fight.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Caleb Plant gets his title shot. Don't know anything about a Rocky Fielding (?) but as much as I wanted to like Plant his patience in last two fight was tiresome. Pauldo looks to have a lead. Zuniga out with some fire early 4th.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Pauldo storms back to maybe nick that round, had Zuniga wobbled and landing clean.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Pauldo does a good job of staying in there and ripping sharp short counters.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Best left of the night for Zuniga early 7th. Pauldo laying back more almost looking for counter off ropes.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Or center of the ring ;D, Pauldo lands harsh right counter that gives Zuniga pause. Close round good connects both.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Pauldo with crisp shots early last round, nice uppercut. Keeps the shoulder high and definitely fights with chip on his shoulder. Seems to phase Zuniga when he lands clean throughout. Ref going all angry drunk uncle here. Gheesh calm down son.
Good little scrap.

Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Good evening chaps. Got the Yafai card over here. Yafai rocked twice in the first round!
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Score in 79-73 x2...78-74 Pauldo. Ah bummer we missed the J'Lean Love fight
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Yafai put him down in the first round though. I just got in and missed the first half of the round.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Yafai much more solid in round two. If he just keeps boxing behind the jab and stays out of the way of Carmona's left hook it looks like one way traffic until Carmona either gets stopped or loses on points.

First time Stateside for Yafai? Carmona blowing weight sounds like it's paying off
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Jaison Rosario v Justin Deloach up.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Carmona lands some good left hooks to the body in round three but Yafai wins it. Yafai making this more of a fight than it needs to be but it's a great fight to watch.

Don't know mate. Yafai wants to put a show on either way. Gets a dubious knockdown at the start of four. Looked low.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Yafai knocks him down twice in round five but the ref says he hits him after the second KD when he was down and takes a point. Looked like a low blow again anyway. First KD looked heavy but Carmona made it up quick.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
DeLoach pretty uneventful over 3 with Rosario. All bicycle last minute as Rosario looks for the brick.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Yafai looks about 40. He's only a young lad, isn't he? Male pattern baldness doing him no favours. Carmona still plugging away and landing more than he should do.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Carmona quits on his stool after seven after a couple of fairly uneventful rounds. He looked fine at the end of the round, was in no trouble or anything.

Good exposure for him, be something if they can get involved in superfly 2,3
Ohhhh DeLoach suddenly floored hard with left hook! Face first but up. Out of nowhere.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
DeLoach claiming rabbit punch and getting much needed break. Very dumb by Rosario who nearly just sparked him end of round.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
DeLoach looks like another ko waiting to happen. Flinchy and fleeing last part of round.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
DeLoach rocked and takes clean knee and scored KD in 10th! Annnd DeLoach claims low blow when Rosario follows up..well it was..and gets a break. Ref warns Rosario about point deduct
Rosario not the brightest bulb on the string lights is he. Scores should be odd.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
97-91...96-93...96-92...all Rosario wow. Now favoritism to DeLoach here.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
King Tug and Escandon about to go. Was odd seeing Nyambayar on the deck last out.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
King Tug dropped! Escandon looks heavy too. Almost fat ???. Looked like a partial blocked right and slippage.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Escandon not much respect for what Tug putting out. Walking right in getting physical. Tug rips uppercut and drops him hard! Nice placement there and he taunts him after dropping Escandon
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Oh big shots landing by Tug and drops him again with brutal right. This is target pra..annnd it's over. Drops him 3 times. This kid is very fun tv.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
That spin on final KD. Impressive beat down and smart for tko 3. How is he not even ranked top 10 by any of the 3 ???.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Fifth round here and Ancajas probably edging it by a couple. . Boos from the crowd, not the spectacle of the previous fight. Not a chess match but both guys are shy of opening up too much.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Ancajas still winning the rounds here. Yafai wouldn't be able to walk through him. Would not be a TV friendly fight though. I can't see HBO being desperate to book this guy for a Superfly card.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Acanjas is taking it easy on his compatriot
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
I've only seen the last few rounds but Acanjas is literally (well, not literally) carrying this guy
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
In between storm warnings and came back to Eddie Ramirez dropped hard and out on feet. Class levels glaring here 3rd
Kid is all messed up
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
Just realised this card didn't even have a thread. Thought Tug in same bill
Missed Kal fight but sounds like they picked the perfect opp to force him into the current big supfly matches.

Carrying like a sparring partner type affair? Are they still insisting he's the next Manny ;D. Hopefully he and Yafai get on superfly.
-
Re: FS1 fight night: King Tug v Escandon
I expected Acanjas to win easy like Yafai, he's been electric in his last few fights, that was pretty laboured although completely one-sided
Official scores -
119-109 X 2
117-111

Exactly! Like a couple of buddies who will be sharing a couple of Buds later
