may i ask, how does everyone knows these fighters except me?
Do they visit your local Pub, or pop in your local grocery store time to time......because ive never seen them before. They ain't in the newspapers or anything (not that i read them anyway) and i dont see them on the tele..
Maybe i'm sounding like a louzy boxing fan, but who is David Barnes? :dontknow:
lol i thought most peeps knew david barnes! hes a manchester boxer used to be a welterweight but after having a bad defeat moved down to light welterweight. :D hes beeen in boxing news magazine.
i think most people do know who David Barnes is..... we have boxing magazines!? ???

He's a good solid fighter with really good skills, me thinks he will make it in the big time....I was really impressed with him, good luck to David. We need more brits to make an impression on the americans. 8)

Anyway, checking up on his record now it seems like he'll have to have a rematch with a fella called Joshua Okine.....a tko loss must be quiet a setback for his career.

That's the question, as many boxers have found out talent alone means Jack, i have seen him spar and he is quick and slick as anyone.
It's hard to say if he makes it to the top, but i do think on any given night he could trouble anyone.

Yeah Barnes is a pretty decent fighter BUT with the wealth of Worldwide Welters and light Welters he'll probably struggle to really make an impact.
He has'nt got what it takes to challenge for World honours IMO.
Maybe a Euro title at best ;)
yeh he is def not world class material. a good domestic fighter. i doubt even if he could get up to european class. when he lost to Okine he just didnt seem to have the desire or the ability to grit his teeth and grind out a win. very similar to the judah-baldomir fight. barnes in control early but as soon as he gets hurt he folded and never really fought back.
i read he drinks. well that wont help his career will it. :o
