ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Actually a pretty good card tonight with a 9:30 pm start time. Not to jinx it but College ball is live prior so hopefully we won't see a late start. Beltran has been there-done that over his career and at times took some big hits. Some brought on himself and others during the fights. Good to see him finally defend his long overdue strap and Jose 'Sniper' Pedraza should bring the best out of him for as long as it lasts. Heart says Beltran in spectacular left hook ko, brain says Pedraza takes his pound of flesh cutting up an increasingly easy to hit Beltran who lumps up. Winner has been mentioned in the Loma opponent role but hard to see that just yet. Either way lets hope for some give and take action :feedme:
Solid support has two time Japanese champ Hidenori Otake 31-2-3 coming to the States for the first time over a long respected career to challenge newly crowned Jr light champ Issac Dogboe 19-0 who is fresh off his entertaining title win in April. It'll be interesting to see if the work rate of Otake as well as knowing it's his last major title opportunity are enough to upend Dogboe who has shown he welcomes inside exchanges. Card looks set to run until midnight.

Football is still on. Blah!

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Yep we're going over with a game on reg ESPN ;D. Only by a few hopefully. Hey at least it's not the NBA with 101 clock stops.

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Boxing telecast is being delayed because of North Carolina A&T versus Jacksonville State?!?!
:vd:

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Looks like they are showing it on ESPN Deportes but stalling in studio for end of game. Cannot understand a word but at least we get weigh in vids ;D. Football needs to stay in its lane.

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake

Ok can I thank you again??
Fight's over already. Damn...... Dogboe hits like a dumptruck. I would've been pissed if I was still watching NC A&T trying to run out the clock.

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Well that was brutal. Poor Otake just got run over by a bus named Isaac Dogboe. Left hook knocked him flat to start it and never recovered. Ref waves off a shaken Otake 2:18 of 1st. Dogboe likes to fight. That's fun.

Arum should use this 1970's start delays for the basic network home channel as selling point for espn+ :p.

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
The kid is well spoken, personable, and has highlight reel power. He called out the other junior featherweight champions. From what I saw tonight, I imagine they're not in any hurry to answer the call.

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Very impressive by Dogboe
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Kirklands not here so I'll go there...cc+1 to TR gals. My my. Have never seen Mayer fight. Man she's tall.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
That was impressive by Dogboe.

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
This other girl looks extremely disinterested
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Not to bad and she can box. Cool to see some back story on Beltran. Boxings funny like that..one fighter covers himself in enough belts and push to blind the cameraman, and guys like Beltran who have payed every-man dues throughout solid career hold onto 1 for dear life.

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Really beginning to rethink picking Padraza tonight ;D. Pedraza is going to run out of ring real estate fast. Beltran coming out with Michael Carbajal! Talk about left hooks that took names.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
The TR girl on the right. :D

Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Gave Pedraza the 1st, that left hook of Beltran got close acouple times tho.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Pedraza looked to control 1st and went head and body. Beltran just walking into him waiting to force exchange
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Who are they saying was stacking wraps???.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Round 1 could've gone either way, but Round 2 was definitely a Pedraza round.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
I have Pedraza up 2-0. I am having a feeling though that Beltran will get to him eventually. We will see
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
2-0 Pedraza. Boxing sharp and has him cut. Long way to go
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
2-0 Pedraza, and surprise, surprise Beltran is cut over the left eye of a punch.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Gonna give Pedraza # 3 as well.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
3-0 Pedraza. Did serious work with southpaw jab that leaves Beltran stationary. Good rally by Beltran end of 3rd, he needs to make it ugly and angry for that hook
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
4-0 Pedraza, making it look easy.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
4-0 Pedraza. Beltran had more success in the 4th than the other ones, but still thought that Pedraza did the better work.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
4-0 Pedraza much closer round. Coin flip either way. Beltran finding the body and bulled him a bit but Pedraza still picking his spots.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Pedraza putting on a boxing clinic thus far. Long way to go, tho.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Beltran coming on since the 4th, 5th was close gave it to Beltran.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Padraza had him zeroed in 5th. Living up to nickname over 5 rounds with stiff punches while switch hitting. Come on Ray!! 5-0. Beltran needs to change this course now
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Spoke too soon. What the hell was Pedraza doing in the last round??
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
4-2 Pedraza. Pedraza is getting tired and letting Beltran fight his fight now.
-
Re: ESPN - Beltran v Pedraza ~ Dogboe v Otake
Beltran get his work done now, 4-2 Pedraza.
