Best current back to back streak:
What are some of the best current/ recent back to back winning streaks, against top opposition?
These 2 for example:
Oleksandr Usyk:
Glowacki, Mchunu, Hunter, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev
Vasyl Lomachenko:
Martinez, Walters, Sosa, Marriaga, Rigondeaux, Linares

Re: Best current back to back streak:
Good stuff! Going to the other end of the star chart and lower level with Yordenis Ugas. Came off 2 years inactivity and back to back losses. Beats highly touted J. James, beat Perrela and Robinson in a 7-0 streak and now sits in a wbc title elimination next weekend. Oscar Valdez has had a nice championship run save for his jaw being wired shut.

Ugas is on a nice little run.
Wangek's wins over Gonzalez x2 and Estrada are quality.
Mikey Garcia: Zlaticanin, Broner, Lipnets, Easter Jr.
Eleider Alvarez? Bute, Pascal, Kovalev.

Re: Best current back to back streak:
Naoya Inoue‘s career from like his 4th fight

It's a good record but back to back not as solid.
Ken Shiro: G. Lopez, Guevara, G. Pedroza, G. Lopez, Melindo.

Re: Best current back to back streak:
Badou Jack
Anthony Dirrell
Groves
Bute
DeGale
Cleverly
Stevenson
Ahh, I guess “winning” disqualified

Wangek has to be an obscure to shot caller over short run. Disappointed he's not doing Super Fly 3 which is really under the radar it seems. Nothing wrong with a homecoming fight or two but he and Estrada have another go in them.

Re: Best current back to back streak:
It’s hard to beat Usyk, Loma or Garcia. Santa Cruz is on a pretty good run, but he has a loss to Frampton in there which disqualifies him.
-
Re: Best current back to back streak:
Tony Bellew ---- Masternak, Makabu, Flores, Haye, Haye
-
Re: Best current back to back streak:
I'd say Bellew has to be up there, seems to be becoming a better fighter with every fight.
I'd fancy him against Usyk too as I don't think he's got the punch to keep fat boy away for 12 rounds.

Re: Best current back to back streak:
Well, if we could "forgive" a couple of opponents, Crawford's on a pretty good back-to-back-to-back-etc. run himself.
Burns, Gamboa, Beltran, Dulorme, Jean, Lundy (oops), Postol, Molina Jr. (sorry), Diaz, Indongo, Horn
-
Re: Best current back to back streak:
How crazy was that Pac run: starting With the first Morales win, Larios, Morales, Solis, Barrera, Marquez, D. Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, Marquez.
-
Re: Best current back to back streak:
That was gold. That's where you separate the men from the boys in terms of opposition.

Trying to find something comparable today is quite the challenge.

Wlad's run after the Brewster loss to Fury was pretty good if you "forgive" a couple.

I think you'd have to give out mass pardons. Forgive? Nah. Not when half of them climbed the ring like lambs being led to the slaughterhouse.
Case in point. Ray "Rainman" Austin. Huge dude who proceeded to look for a comfy place to land ASAP.
If you didn't like Crawford's streak just say so. ;D

Haha, there were more than a few wholes in that run.
I do think Crawford's run is solid. Jean wasn't much tho.
What about Bradley's run: Vasquez, Witter, Cherry, Holt, Campbell (nc), L. Peterson, Abregu, Alexander, Casamayor, Pacquiao, Provodnikov, Marquez.

As I always say, Wlads run was against awful opposition.

If you do Pacquiao, you have to do Floyd.
De la Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero, Canelo, Maidana x2, Pacquiao.
That’s pretty solid despite people claiming he was ducking people during that whole run
-
Re: Best current back to back streak:
Floyd's record is so strong, regardless of what the naysayers say, i'll give you another great run.
Emannuel Augustus, Diego Corrales, Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Jose Luis Castillo*, Jose Luis Castillo
*he got "lucky" with the decision, could have gone Castillo's way, but that's the way she goes.
-
Re: Best current back to back streak:
Sergio Martinez: Pavlik, Williams, Dzinziruk, Barker, Macklin, Chavez Jr, Murray.

Blown up light welterweight in Hatton, blown up lightweight in Marquez, 14 month inactive Shane are not really that great on his CV.

Re: Best current back to back streak:
Dillian White is racking up a decent record considering the poor division
Chisora
Helenius
Brown
Parker
Obviously not as strong as others on the list but he is definitely trying to work his way through those outside of wilder and AJ and as I said the division isn't as strong as others, you can only beat what is in front of you.

Re: Best current back to back streak:
Well, if we're going back in time..... how about Bailey, Corley, Abdullaev, Torres. TBH, you could go through most of Cotto's career and just pick out the very few "soft spots" every now and then.
