Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
It will likely be at the Manchester arena on Nov 10th. There will be an official announcement tomorrow.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Usyk will win this with ease.
Credit to Bellew for taking the challenge but he is not in the same league and class of Usyk.
-
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Funny how Bellew moved up to HW to avoid Usyk and then when Usyk completed CW and was most likely moving up to HW Bellew all of a sudden only wanted to fight him at CW.
I'll bet he was pissed when he realised Usyk would fight him at either weight.

Still have to credit Bellew for taking this at Cruiserweight when he could have insisted it be at heavyweight. He would create history if he won.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Another name for Usyk's record. Bellew had a good record at Cruiser with wins over Makebu and Masternak standing out. Usyk should look to move to heavyweight after this, unless he wants to deefend against Lebedev.
They must have worked something out with the WBA.
-
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Lebedev will be getting some step aside money and a promise he may be next. Easy payday for doing no work.

Yea and he stays in the mix.

I think Usyk will move up weight after Bellew and then watch some posters say he is avoiding Lebedev. :)

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
I wonder what weight Bellew has been walking around at, the fight date is sooner than I was expecting.
-
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Wonder how this will sell.
I know nothing about Usyk but I have warmed to Bellew of late.
-
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
In the UK Bellew will shift a load of tickets amongst the casuals and then once the media machine gets rolling and they start bigging up Usyk it'll get even more tickets sold.
I hope that they sell Bellew as the underdog though, if they try to say that Usyk needs the win to prove he has dominated the CW division it'll be wrong.
Bellew is the one who needs Usyk not the other way round.
Either way it's still a good scrap and I'll be watching fully expecting Usyk to win

Check him out, buddy. I think Usyk is the real thing. Easily the best cruiser since Holyfield and would ave given Evander all sorts of problems.

Just know this, Usyk is basically a cruiserweight Loma.

Nah Lebedev had his chance to enter the WBSS but chose not to. It's still a good defense if Usyk chooses to remain at Cruiser for another fight or 2.

I agree with this. Didn't Loma's dad train Usyk for his last fight?

That's almost a thread in itself, considering Holyfield at Cruiser was doing 15 rounders

Nobody could deal with the Real Deal Holyfield. He was a machine who threw perfect combinations and never got tired.

Agree with X, easily the best Cruiser since Evander.
He'll move up to heavy soon enough and dominate there as well.

The only problem with Usyk is that he doesnβt have much power. He wears people down, but at HW he will have a hard time keeping them off of him.

If you get a chance watch a few of his world super series fights. They were at heavy, without hear gear, and most using 10 G 12 oz gloves, over 5 rounds. As close to pro as possible.
I feel Usyk's power will still be respectable at heavy.
Nistor, had ko'd Joshua.
Medzhidov, has an outstanding amateur career and holds wins over top guys.
He beat Joyce, who arguably should have won a gold. And is 5-0 as a pro.
He fought beat Junior Fa, now a 15-0 unbeaten heavyweight prospect.
He also beat Briedis (who holds a win over current WBA champ Charr), Huck who arguably beat a prime/roided Povetkin and is now campaigning at heavyweight, and Hunter, who had moved up as well.
He also beat Glowacki, he holds a win over Cunningham, who had some success at heavy.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Bellews gonna walk through him and knock him out.
Left hook round 6 π

Don't see it happening. Usyk may be the one scoring the stoppage. This ain't no shot to bits David Haye.

That is scandalous and out of order. Holyfield was clean then.

Fancy a bet? π
Seriously though I can't be the only one that's 99% sure Hearn has this already going to a "Points Win" for Usyk.
He's already saying he wants to showcase him as often as possible on DAZN in the USA so he simply can't lose.
Add to that Hearn and Bellew are genuinely best mates and Bellew has already said it's his last fight.
I bet Bellews taking a massive share of the purse for this too (70/30) maybe to convincingly roll over but make it look good in his farewell fight, it'll be a sell out and do ok on tv figures so its a perfect launch pad for Usyk against a widely known fighter.
Pretty sure this one's already decided.
Genius by Hearn when you think outside the box π

So why would we bet? We both think Usyk wins :-\
But I agree, it is a nice launching pad for Usyk.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Evander's cruiserweight days were 190 not 200, that weight increase totally changed that division, they all look like 70s heavyweights.
For a powderpuff puncher only four men have taken Uysk the distance, they're 93-0 combined, never been floored let alone beat.

glad to see you on board this train. the length of Usyk pumping that jab and moving so well for a man his size is a tough combination
-
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
Bellew will get slapped around and stopped late. Hopefully that will shut him up and send him in to retirement.
Unfortunately he will mostly likely be a pundit on sky and we'll still have to hear his rubbish.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew
I don't think Bellew will win, but he has my full support in this one. He is taking on a tough fight and for that credit where credit is due and he will be the underdog. I hope he pulls off a shock somehow.

Agree evander is the best cruiser of all time regardless what happens in this fight.
good to hear Usyk saying he wants fury and wilder aswel. He's not ducking the giants when he moves up
