Regis Prograis-Terry Flanagan (WBSS 1/4-final) Saturday Night

Prograis(1/10)-Flanagan(6/1) is priced up as a mismatch but "Turbo" (if ever a nickname was ironic) has a better chance than that. He is being completely written off because he's a nobody (the least known Brit "world" champion in history) and Prograis is currently red-hot and by far the harder clumper, however, is he the better boxer? Flanagan's boring messy tricky southpaw style is not easy to get past, he uses distance well, has a solid headbutt and never been down (33 fights).

I see Prograis walking him down but if he doesn't put Flanagan away he'll be eating shots on the way in all night in a typical boxer-vs-banger type.

11/4 - fight to go distance.

16/1 - Flanagan PTS

33/1 - Draw.

Yeah i've had some shrapnel on Flanagan but you have to understand my opinion is based solely on his betting odds, which I think are a little too big. If Flanagan goes the distance I win.

If you put a gun to my head I would pick Prograis all day everyday. I EXPECT him to win. If Prograis iron's him out in the 1st round I wouldn't be shocked.

A brownun (£10) on Flanagan @16/1 returns £170.

Truth be told it's a pretty substantial step up for Prograis and style and work rate might give him many problems. But those body shots should level Flanagan off. What sucks is this is right up the road locally but will miss it being on the road this weekend.

I'm a big fan of Prograis, really like how he keeps that head moving, even tho his hands are low, but this will be tougher than many think. Flanagan can fight and is tough. I'm think Prograis gets to him late.

So many tickets still available at UNO. Really looking forward to this one. Just hope Prograis is keeping a level head. Guy was doing skits yesterday about his hotel room being burglarized. Biggest stage he's ever been on no doubt about it.

Dont know much abouy these felows today but gong by the pre fight interviews I think baranchyk is going to damage ygitt

Lively first rounder from both... landed punches might be similar but I think whiterussian did way more damage... if he keeps it up ygitt is not long for this world :S

Off ft baranchyk is really blasting him... even when ygitt is blocking he looks to be feeling the pinches bad....cut on ygitt. . Ygitt is fairly rough though he's staying in front of him

Baranchyk like a young Nigel Benn, trys to punch holes in every shot he lets go. Good fight.,

BETTER from ygitt but baranchyk is still pounding him... some of his body shots are just nasty... ygitt is tough though he keeps trying... u say 3-0 to soviet.

I am no.. but I've not tried watching g it on anything bigger than a computer screen....


Baranchyk seems to have slowed down a bit... maybe trying to decapitate or evicarate his opponent with every punch has tired him ... 3-1 maybe.. baranchyk with only one ko past round four apparently

Yigit looked like he got to Baranchyk in the body for a sec but he's collecting some damage. Baranchyk is a rough customer all around.

Body punch middle of round five hurt him bad there... that could be the beginning of the end.

Four to one for the comunist for me.. baranchyk is doin a lot of damage I think a better slick fellow will defeat baranchyk fairly easy though

Point off for baranchyk for repeated various infringements. ... and fair enough... he was pushing his head down bad for that... amazing punch to the back of the head by baranchyk. .. ygitt did turn his back on him though :S... I'm amazed he stayed standing there... and ref stops it... fair enough but ygitt was lively in al l rounds there but baranchyk was pounding him bad.

Jebus Christmas. looks like he's been hit in the eye with a ball pen hammer. Tough way to go out

Baranchyk can be pretty vicious with some of his punches he seems to be very powerful, I'd give him an outside chance to win the while thing but yeah he's a wild man and doesn't seem too good at trapping his opponent on the ropes to really pound them... I think he's good for sure but I doubt he'll be the best.

Good job from ygitt too, he kept trying despite having one eye and taking a lot of damage... Probably could have done with avoiding baranchyk earlier on and letting him tire himself but wotever. .. he's seems a good fellow and boxer. .. good for him

I actually haven't seen prograis before, he sounds like a dum dum in the interviews though i suspect he will be dismantled somewhere down the line like lacy was... Probably not today though.

Between the ref and Ray Flores I think a lot of hair dye or black bootpolish was sold in new Orleans today :S

Going to get a bit confusing..both main events starting. Flanagan isn't going to just fall over here. Time for Prograis to step up and put punches together.
