Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Matchroom Boxing announced the details of the third edition of the Monte-Carlo Boxing Bonanza with Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson as the main event on a night of world championship boxing on Nov. 24 at the Casino de Monte-Carlo in Monaco, live and exclusively on DAZN.
Russian Lebedev (31-2, 23 KOs) defending his WBA cruiserweight world title against undefeated American Mike Wilson (19-0, 8 KOs) is the headliner, but there is plenty of solid action on the rest of the card as well.
WBA super flyweight world champion Kal Yafai (24-0, 15 KOs) aims to maintain his undefeated record when he faces Mexico’s Israel Gonzalez (23-2, 10 KOs). Yafai stopped another Mexican, David Carmona, in seven rounds during his U.S. debut in California in May and is promising another explosive performance on Nov. 24.
Also, "Wise Guy" Frank Buglioni (23-3-1, 16 KOs) returns to title action as he takes on China’s undefeated IBF intercontinental light heavyweight champion Fanlong Meng (13-0, 8 KOs), while Kazakhstan’s Rio Olympic gold medallist Daniyar Yeleussinov (3-0, 1 KO) is in action again as he continues his march towards conquering the professional ranks.
“I’m delighted to be back in Monaco for the third time for another fantastic night of world championship boxing,” Eddie Hearn said. “It’s always special to return to the Casino de Monte-Carlo. It’s a stunning setting that’s unique within boxing and will be broadcast and enjoyed by fight fans throughout the world.”

Kal Yafai plans to dominate the super flyweight division
https://s.yimg.com/it/api/res/1.2/s0...e59cbe62a0aab1
Khalid “Kal” Yafai (24-0 15 KOs) defends his WBA super flyweight title against Israel Gonzalez during an action-packed event at the Monte Carlo Casino, the Salle Médecin in Monaco on Nov. 24, live and exclusively on DAZN.
The undefeated WBA super flyweight champion spoke exclusively with Sporting News ahead of his fourth world title defense and first appearance in the principality of Monaco, which is known for its wealth and extravagance as well as the historic F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
Yafai’s opponent in Monaco will be Mexican Israel Gonzalez (23-2, 10 KOs) who is making his second attempt at a world title after failing against Jerwin Ancajas for the IBF world super flyweight belt earlier this year.
Kal knows he’ll need to bring his A-game to the ring against Gonzalez.
“Mexican fighters are known for their aggression and I expect him to be physical and try to box in the early rounds," Yafai said. "He’ll try to apply pressure and then I’ll go through my gears”
There is a lot of hype about staying undefeated and boxers putting too much emphasis on facing lesser fighters to keep hold their zero, but Yafai isn’t putting any pressure on himself to keep his record intact as he looks to dominate the super flyweight division, which includes fellow champions Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (47-4-1, 41 KOs), Gideon Buthelezim (21-5, 4 KOs) and Ancajas (30-1-2, 20 KOs)
“A lot of people think it’s really important to be unbeaten, but a lot of great fighters, not only in the past but in the present, have lost and come back even better so it’s not something I’m afraid of losing," Yafai said. "But as long as I keep winning, I’ll do my best to keep the record going. I’m looking to dominate my division, I’m a big super flyweight, I’m fast and definitely the best, if not one of the best technical fighters in the division, so I’m looking to clean up”.
Also fighting on the same card will be:
Russian Denis Lebedev (31-2, 23 KOs) who headlines the event and will defend his WBA cruiserweight world title against undefeated American Mike Wilson (19-0, 8 KOs).
American Michael Hunter (15-1, 10 KOs) steps in for China’s 20-0 heavyweight star Zhilei Zhang, who had visa issues, and will face Russia’s Alexander Ustinov (34-2, 25 KOs).
‘Wise Guy’ Frank Buglioni (23-3-1, 16 KOs) returns to title action as he takes on China’s undefeated IBF intercontinental light heavyweight champion Fanlong Meng ( 13-0, 8 KOs).
Kazakhstan’s Rio Olympic gold medallist Daniyar Yeleussinov (3-0, 1 KO) will also be in action against Nicaragua’s Marcos Mojica (16-2-2, 12 KOs) as he looks to continue his march towards conquering the professional ranks.
Khalil El Hadri takes on Andrei Nurchynski and Ruslan Kupchik makes his debut against Mifodzi Pilipenak.

Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
It's a long way from Oregon to Monte Carlo and Wilson should be a willing railroad spike. Wouldn't be shocked to see smaller Hunter come in and box the ears of Usitnov.

I quite like Hunter, I think he should win comfortably.
Wilson is a lamb to the slaughter.

Yafai vs Gonzalez: Kal Yafai stripped naked on the scales to make weight for WBA title defence
Kal Yafai stripped naked on the scales as he made weight for his WBA title defence against Israel Gonzalez in Monte Carlo.
The WBA super-flyweight champion was marginally over the 8st 3lb mark at the first attempt, then removed his pants to make weight, with Mexican Gonzalez also inside the limit for Saturday's title fight, live on Sky Sports.

Fellow Brit Frank Buglioni successfully made light-heavyweight for his fight against Fanlong Meng, who was also inside the required 12st 7lbs.
Former world champion Denis Lebedev returns to action as he takes on American Mike Wilson and both men had no problems making the cruiserweight limit.

Standing at 6′7½'' tall, Alexander Ustinov has a height and weight advantage over opponent Michael Hunter, with the Russian tipping the scales at over a stone more than the Californian heavyweight.

Daniyar Yeleussinov, a 2016 Olympic gold medallist, also appears on the bill as he targets a fifth professional victory over Marcos Mojica.
Watch a huge night of action in Monaco with Yafai vs Gonzalez, Lebedev vs Wilson and Buglioni vs Meng live on Sky Sports Arena from 7pm and Main Event from 7.45pm this Saturday.

Wilson is a lamb to the slaughter.
All things considered he fought very well with Usyk. I remember watching his ol man put the wood to some young hopefuls and other vets on USA, you can see some of that cagey craftiness in Jr. Damn shame how he went out.

Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
It's on dazn so I'm going to be watching, never heard of this Wilson fellow though.. seems like a weird card but wotever, I don't think lebedev is that good.
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Wilson and Hunter are both in their prime and should beat the faded old fighters Lebedev (age 39) and Ustinov (turns 42 in two weeks).
But Lebedev once was a top cruiserweight, so if he has anything left there's a possibility of an upset in that one.
Here's the full card: http://boxrec.com/en/event/776705

Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Ustinov is slow but big against Hunter who wins the first round with solid punches and attacks.
1-0 Hunter
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Hunter landing looping big right hands against Ustinov in the 2nd to win it but Hunter is getting tired
2-0 Hunter
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Hunter landing good punches against Ustinov and falls to the ground when Ustinov leans on him when they get close. Smart tactics from Hunter.
The right hands from Hunter are landing nicely.
3-0 Hunter
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Right hand cannot miss and smothers him right after. What's up with the Farah Fawcett one piece suits making a comeback?
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Ustinov hurt with a left hook in the 4th and the quick right hands in the round.
4 nil

I was waiting for Batman to comment on that, he usually does.

Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Hunter can not miss with the right hands against Ustinov. Hope Hunter does not tire he is winning every round.

Stellas may have caught up to em ;D.
Hunters fight to lose at this point, clipping Unstinov with lefts now too
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Hunter bouncing punches off Ustinov chin who is slow and ponderous.
6 nil
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Hunter moving around more but swinging good punches which are landing against Ustinov who has a bloodied nose.
These punches are now having an affect against Ustinov.
7 nil
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Ustinov knocked down heavy in the 8th and just about makes it to the end of the 8th round.
Hunter will stop him in the next round.
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
7- zip for Hunter who is really putting punches together now. Looking to have no problem playing the physical game with him either. So one Mike Wilson is now fighting for a trinket that Usyk dropped, or will drop?
Oh Hunter beats him down onto the floor :o
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Hunter does stop it in the 9th round. Impressive.

Lebedev still looked good against Gasiev not long ago, easily could’ve got the decision. I haven’t seen Wilson, but look at his record. He’s been fed cans and is already 35 himself, I don’t think he’s supposed to win here. Hunter toying with Ustinov as expected, who was really never much good.

You're at least a minute ahead of our feed here ;D.

Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Good to see him paying respects to his Father and setting goals with same belt.
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Wilson is far taller than the southpaw Lebedev as they have both have a quiet first round.
Wilson lands the better sharper jabs to win the round.
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Wilson keeping a high pace and jabbing well against Lebedev in the second round.
2nil Wilson.
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Lebedev timing some hard accuate shots against Wilson in the 3rd round who seems rattled now.
2-1 Wilson
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Wilson trying to maintain the jab and high pace but Lebedev is timing some hard hurtful shots in the 4th.
Lebedev looks a class above when he picks up his work.
2-2
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Lebedev busting up Wilson now in the 5th bloodied nose and mouth.
3-2 Lebedev
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Lebedev is giving Wilson a schooling.
I have it 5-0 for Lebedev.
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Lebedev taking his time and slowly beating up Wilson especially with his southpaw left hook.
Wilson showing some heart.
4-2 Lebedev
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Wilson trying harder in the 7th and I give him the round for effort but Lebedev is just better
5-2
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Wilson trying hard but Lebedev is landing cleaner harder punches.
6-2 Lebedev
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Lebedev is doing enough to win the rounds without looking spectacular. Wilson is a level below and game.
7-2
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Lebedev timing is excellent but can not raise the pace to stop Wilson.
8-2 Lebedev
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Lebedev cut opened up in the 11th but still fighting at one pace yet still winning the round
9-2
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
Wilson at least sees the last round and credit to him.
Lebedev is not good enough to beat the best at the weight and disappointing.
10-2 Lebedev
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
-
Re: Denis Lebedev vs. Mike Wilson
119-109
119-109
117-111
The two 119-109 were accurate scorecards, but a bad scorecard 117-111 from Nicolo, it was wider than that.
Lebedev is still very good at age 39.

Another little bump for Usyk's record.
