For us hardcore/nerds.... Two interesting fights without the main event.

Badou Jack (4/7 fav) went from looking two-bob - after getting chinned in a round - to coming back to prove it was an anomaly and over and over again prove he's world-class. However, at 35, coming off several years off tough fights and travelling the world he might not get away with this one. Marcus Browne (13/8 dog) is young, unbeaten, unexposed, a former top amateur and confident. He looks swift and has a noticeable clump.

Browne - 13/8 / 10/3 Stoppage.

Warren-Oubaali for the WBC Bantam title - Oubaali (1/3 fav) is a big favourite over the experienced American, which surprised me a little. Warren (3/1 dog) has fought at a much higher level (pro's) and obviously enjoys the home advantage. Oubaali beat him at the Olympics but it was razor thin close - 19-18. Warren's two defeats have been by SD to proven world level performers.

At 3/1 with Vegas judges Warren has enough positives at that price (20-1 draw).

Can I just say Browne was exposed by Kalajdzic and should have lost that fight. In saying that, this fight is a very good match up. I see Jack breaking Browne down late.

Oubaali has some decent names on his record, although most were past their best when he fought them, so his power is a little hard to judge. Warren's only loses have been very close on points, and a case could be made that he won or drew at the very least both of them. His biggest achilles is his power. If he can't get Oubaali's respect he may be in trouble. I've actually got Warren winning this, in another nip and tuck battle.

Alberto Guevara v Hugo Ruiz coming on now.

The taller Ruiz knocks down Guevara with hurtful combinations in the first round.

Ruiz loading up and hurting Guevara in the second round. Love his huge left hook, very tidy puncher.

Ruiz winning the 3rd, Guevara just trying to get through the rounds.

Guevara catching Ruiz from time to time with the right hand but overall only one fighter trying to win which is Ruiz.

This one's just a matter of whether it'll be a decision or a knockout.

Ruiz making an unnecessary long fight winning 5th round by being the only one trying to win.

Ruiz wins 6th by just moving forward and throwing punches. He should cut the ring off better.

6 nil

Ruiz landing some heavy and hurtful combinations in the 7th round. Can he stop Guevara?

Guevara survives the 8th by moving around. He will be happy for this to go the distance.

Ya-a-a-w-w-w-n-n-n!!!!!!!!!

Guevara trying more now in the 9th but Ruiz wins the round comfortably.

Thankfully the fight is over with Ruiz winning every round with the first with a knockdown.

The 6th and 8th were close, but I still have them to Ruiz.

ITV are not even doing their own show. It is a pure showtime show!

They are advertising Davis v Mares which looks a good fight February 9th.

Nordine Oubaali v Rau'shee Warren on next.

Warren already wins the Most Outrageous Robe contest.

Two southpaws, Warren is a faster fighter, Oubaali seems to have the power. Good entertaing first round which I give to Warren.

Alright! More action in this 1st round than in the previous 10 put together. :)

Warren didn't throw much in the 2nd round. Good fight, but Oubaali pressing the action.

Oubaali was winning the 3rd but think Warren stole the round with that big flurry at the end

We're watching different fights, I guess. I'll give Warren the 4th mostly because Oubaali was ineffective with his own offense. 2-2.

This could very well be an even fight so far. I'm gonna say Oubaali to make it 3-3. Oubaali has been busier, although Warren is turning it up now.
