Surprised nobody is talking about this. Okada is giving Beltran a war.
Okada just clearly won the 6th with Beltran retreating all round. Beltran can only win inside.
7 is Okada’s as well. Beltran’s hand may be hurt because he isn’t fighting much anymore
Beltran gets inside and takes the 8th
Yeah thanks. Just caught the 8th round. Good fight from the looks of it. Commentators singing Okada's praises, but I saw Beltran pushing him around and imposing his will. Okada grabbing a lot, but punching well also. Beltran's punches seem to be having more effect though. What a war.
Wow what an ending!! Okada started off the fight great... connecting at will. Suddenly a huge right drops him. Fight's over... what a knockout by Beltran!!
Beltran stops him in the 9th. Neither fighter looked world level. Fun fight though.
Tito, if you have the ability to back it up I suggest you do so. It was a really interesting fight.
I thought I had it on record so when I turned on the tv I realized it wasn’t recording. I caught the 8th and 9th rounds. Was Okada ahead in the fight?
Gonna try. Thanks for the heads up though. Almost missed it altogether. Amazing to see that much in Beltran so late in his career. Fun fighter to watch. Good learning experience for Okada, although not sure how far he can go in the division.
Zilch from Ramirez in Round 1 of this main event. I suspect it'll heat up quickly.
I thought Ramirez started finding his jab towards the end of the 1st
2-0 Zepeda thus far.
2-0 Zepeda but I still think Ramirez starts taking over soon
MUCH closer 3rd round. Could've gone either way honestly. I gave the edge to Zepeda, but Ramirez seems to be coming on.
Ramirez is really crude, he needs to just rush Zepeda
I missed the 4th talking about the earlier fight haha
Ramirez is definitely the stronger guy and keeps pressing forward. But he's largely being ineffective as Zepeda continues to outbox him. Unless he creates more pressure and establishes his range and attack, he's gonna continue to lose rounds.
"Breaking down"? I don't see Zepeda breaking down at all. These announcers aren't worth a shit.
Big round 5 for Ramirez. When he stops throwing it’s all Zepeda if he throws he has this
The boxing clinic continues. I don't want to say it's 6-0, because Ramirez is competitive.... but it isn't close right now.
Zepeda seems to use the Hopkins trick of following with the head so he can’t be countered. He must have butted 15 times already. Strangely that is not an exaggeration
Round 7 is the first one I would clearly give to Ramirez. 6-1, or 5-2 at best.
What a round! Zepeda won the first half..... Ramirez won the 2nd. Ramirez won the round, IMO. But if Zepeda had any power, Ramirez would've been out of there long ago.
Big round 8 for Ramirez, serious damage done
Ramirez pulled out round 8 barely. I have it 5-3 for Zepeda
Another round for Ramirez
Another Ramirez round. I have it 5-4 Zepeda. Geez I hate lefty-righty fights. Lots of headbutts and feet stepping all over each other.
Ramirez is coming on a lot better. Zepeda is still having success, but Ramirez is just doing better at this point. 5-4 for Zepeda.
I thought Zepeda won round 10. Ramirez landed a few good shots, but Zepeda just controlled the round and landed more. 6-4 Zepeda. I have a feeling that Ramirez is up on the scorecards though.
I also hate punchstat numbers. They normally don't mean squat. Close 10th round. Might even be an even fight so far. Zepeda definitely losing ground.
Zepeda is worse for the wear but I thought he snuck the 10 with Ramirez caught looking too much
6-5 Zepeda. But like powerpuncher, I feel Ramirez is probably on his way to a comfortable UD.
Either fighter gets destroyed by Crawford.
Zepeda easily won round 11. Ramirez was coming back, but Zepeda derailed that by becoming the aggressor.
I hate to see a guy cheat so much to win but it looks like Zepeda will pull it off.
Messed up seeing him butt then complain, butt, then complain. It’s you doing it dude
Ramirez pulled out round 12 but I still have it 7-5 for Zepeda. Close fight. I think because Ramirez is the home town fighter he will win. I’m guessing a split decision with one scorecard really wide for Ramirez
Hopefully Ramirez took it when he took the 12th and Zepeda learns not to hold and butt all fight.
Maybe a Ramirez 12th round. At most, I'd give him a draw. The judges will give him anywhere from 7-8 rounds and he'll get the UD.
Zepeda couldn't miss Ramirez's head all night long. Like I said if he had any power, it would've been over quick. Crawford makes mincemeat out of both of them.... maybe on the same night.
