Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
Big step in the right direction, DAZN have deep enough pockets to seal any fight so let's hope the egos don't get in the way.

I have a feeling that Hearn is going to run out of money and be in big trouble.

Hearn doesn’t give a fuck. It’s not his money he’s throwing around.

Same, he needs to pace himself. All this money and you'd think they could afford some decent arena lighting ;D.
That's a boatload of egos in a room though. So Hearn, Finkel, DiBella and Haymon will have a 'sit down'. Hey I hope it bears fruit but those existing politics will make Washington D.C blush. Hearn would do well not to get too carried away juuuust yet with Miller right around the corner. Stranger things have happened :-X.

That simply isn't going to happen
DAZN is owned by the Perform Group who are owned by this Group called Access Industries.
Trust me money is never going to be a problem.
They've already invested massively and will just continue to sign up all the top fighters until the other tv networks break.
Why do you think HBO quit boxing and Showtime are set to follow?
They simply can't compete financially.

But we have seen it time and time again to where boxers are promised tons of money and then the platform ends up not being able to pay it all. Then the fighters don’t end up fighting and it’s a mess. I wouldn’t be shocked if some of these DAZN fighters don’t get paid and have to get out of the contract. It’s a lot of money that’s going to these fighters and it’s going to be tough to earn it back.

I don't agree, firstly DAZN can do what Man City FC have done and just throw money at it until it works,
Access Industries are an absolute Giant of a company who own metal mines all over the world, we are talking serious serious money here. (Trillions upwards)
Warner Bros, Deezer, DAZN etc are just the little fish they own.
They aren't going to just pull the plug after the hundreds of Millions they've already invested and they can and will just keep outbidding the competition and signing up the rest of the top fighters.
Sooner or later DAZN will be the only true player in Boxing just like Netflix is with films & Boxsets.
At $9.99 per month with no hidden extras and no contract only an absolute fool of a fight fan who can access DAZN won't already have it.
Just look at who they've already signed in under 6 months and that was with no real stable.
Now they are signing the elite left right and centre it'll be even easier to sign the rest of them.
Why do you think Wilder is in talks.... because he wants a piece of the mega money while he can get it is why 😉

Well I really hope you are right. It would be nice if they could do more of a UFC type of a thing where DAZN becomes the company where the best fighters go to and you have smaller places where less stellar fighters fight. I just don’t see that happening.

Yeh.... that may be the direction we're moving toward. Doesn't mean it's good for boxing nor the fans. Boxing will have completely transitioned from a grand sporting event to something you stream on your computer screen. Boxing without all the bells and whistles. Hopefully there will always be a spot for ESPN in the boxing world.

Well MMA has UFC which is the best. It also has Belator, One, Pride, etc which produce good fighters. Most of the best join the UFC eventually. The main downfall with that is that sometimes fighters don’t make the transition so you end up with a lot of what ifs (even more so than boxing has now).
I think that boxing could do something similar and things like ESPN and PBC could have lower cars fighters (like FNFs or things like shobox). Good fighters could make the transition so that DAZN (in this case) only has the absolute best fighters which would only produce the best fights because no top fighter could make a bad fight because there aren’t that many people in each division

I'll be honest. What's to stop DAZN from stopping there and not swallowing up ESPN boxing also. If the purpose is to have an absolute monopoly and force people to watch all boxing on that platform, what is there to prevent it. TV networks are obviously and slowly going away from boxing as a viable sport. HBO did it.... Showtime will probably soon follow suit.... and ESPN certainly doesn't need boxing when it's got its huge sports platform with every sport under the sun. DAZN will eventually control all of boxing, and will be free to call the shots. Sure... it can afford to be generous with pricing now. But once it's got the bull by the horns what's to keep it from raising subscription prices at will.

technology is going to advance too is the thing, the jump from dial up Internet to broadband was quite a big leap in quality, now fibre optic Internet is getting common in built up areas. Once the Internet connectionS get better stuff like dazn is going to be just like cable. Dazn just got the jump on everyone else with setting up the sports streaming site, eventually all the big.companies will just follow suit and everything will be back to the way it was in cables hey day :S....
Obviously it's still a few years away for the majority to have the required super fast Internet required but it's on its way. Everything will go to streaming I think, Playstation and x box too.
As for dazn having unlimited money I don't believe that the gits financing didn't get rich by being mugs so if they're not seing returns in a few years they'll cut back, in my opinion.of course. I think they are throwing the quids around just now and charging little just to get their name out their and become associated with sports streaming, so far it's working, I think for sure they'll cut back their funding and raise prices and probably lose some sports rights in the future but wotever right now it's the most ridiculously well priced sports thing in Canada.

Re: Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
World Boxing News has learned DAZN have put a massive $50m deal on the table for Deontay Wilder in a two-fight offering.
Talks between both parties were set for this week, with DAZN hell-bent on securing the services of the WBC heavyweight champion.
The end-game will be a huge undisputed unification with Anthony Joshua over two fights in 2020.
On the back of Eddie Hearn confirming DAZN will act as middle men in a huge top division collision, WBN now understands Wilder is wanted this year for two bouts initially.
Wilder will effectively receive $25m per fight, and on the condition ‘The Bronze Bomber’ wins both outings, will then be pitched in with Joshua next year.
A further improved contract is to be fully discussed separately regarding the Joshua double.
DAZN want to avoid a delay in getting Wilder on the books. This is in order to assure fans the biggest battle in world boxing will eventually happen.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Tuesday evening, Hearn explained his role will be minimal. He and Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel just don’t see eye-to-eye.
“There’s an opportunity for someone to be if you like, a mediator to try and get it done,” said Hearn.
“Clearly the relationship between Team Wilder and Team Joshua isn’t the best. I think this is a route that is going to be very beneficial to making that undisputed fight.
“I think any input from me would be a negative one. In terms of trying to move things forward because of the relationship. So I’ll leave it in the hands of the broadcasters (DAZN) to try and effectively be a mediator.
“It’s not just about doing a deal with Wilder, it’s about doing a deal with Joshua, for the fight.
“They’ve got their work cut out. But the pieces are coming together. There’s a long way to go, a long way to go.
“We’ll see where it goes. But there is now a strategy in place and a route in place that could lead us to an undisputed fight,” he added.
Opponents for Wilder’s two-fight agreement will include Dominic Breazeale (dependent on an agreement with Al Haymon), Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko and Oleksandr Usyk.

Well ITV are showing Spence v Garcia, so give them a chance.

Re: Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
According to this Wilders gonna swerve AJ again.
$100 plus for the Breazeale fight and 2 AJ fights.
Why would you not take that offer?
https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/5...0million-dazn/
-
Re: Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
The story going is that the DAZN offer is 3 fights at 100 million if 2 are AJ but AJ has no obligation to fight him which would leave him making much less. How Fury’s deal will work out.
So he wants the AJ fight without being locked up through 2020

We need someone to just sign to fight someone and stop this sign to a platform nonsense

Re: Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
Personally I'd like to hear from Deontay himself before beginning the "ducking" accusations we love so much.
-
Re: Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
Well can't win em all no matter how hard Hearn tries. Honestly I don't get all the 1,2,3 etc stuff. Just sit down for an honest one and done, option for rematch maybe. Wilder gets his mandatory out of the way on his terms as does AJ who has basically approached Miller like an after thought. And when does the sanctioning bodies screw up the best laid plans. Like they'll just go along with promotions basically tying up allll the trinkets while they bicker over politics and rematch terms. Hearn did this with Rosado v Sulecki, he's already saying winner faces Andrade so sure wbo will just oblige. No deal definitely puts Wilder in some limbo and frankly he needs to retool and get Fury befuddling behind him. I want to see the fight but Hearn may just be over valuing Wilder at the moment.

You love this thing. I could give you 50 million opposing arguments if you ask. Or maybe you never asked. Or maybe you did, get my point? Who cares when the venue wasn’t available anyway, of wait it was because AJ fought on the date it wasn’t available. Hmm
And on and on. It’s nonsense. Like saying agreeing to an amount is binding to a fight, that a person could then make them do whatever they wish. No wait, that’s a bold faced lie. Hmm. Should I give 50 million bold faced lies?

Yeah , but you are just surmising about Hearn and AJ lying , no actual Facts.
Whereas the fact that Wilder had a Broken Arm while they’re throwing around bogus offers , whichever way you cut it is either :
A. A CAST IRON LIE as you have previously stated. And if he can lie about that, he can lie about the contract
Or
B. If he did have a broken Arm, why would they throw $50 Million offers around?? In which case , Hearn would be right to have doubts about “the offer.”
Either way it blows your “Hearn is a liar” crusade out of the window.

No. Eddie f’n lied and said agreeing to an amount was binding and that they could then force them to fight anywhere and force them to do other things. F’n lies, flat out lied, it’s a fact. That is simply not true, he wanted to obfuscate, just as you do. I’m done because like Eddie you can’t have an honest conversation about this.
Agreeing to an offer sheet does not mean that a promoter can then force you to agree to other things, it’s a f’n fact and Eddie is a f’n liar. And I can give you 100 more easily but I don’t give a f because you don’t give a f. You just want to argue. You don’t care one bit about the truth.

You make no f’n point you just talk about me.
Is saying something that isn’t true a lie? Okay having assessed that is saying that agreeing to an offer sheet about financial terms a binding agreement to everything that follows? No, so it’s a f’n lie. It’s not true and a direct lie. And if you can’t admit that there is no point.
As I said I could list 100 more like Eddie asking for proof of funds, I can show you a video of that, then Eddie saying they never asked for proof of funds, I can show you a video of that. It is absolutely contradictory, both things can not be true. It is a lie, a lie on video. Now AJ says again that they asked for proof of funds, to dodge a question, I can show you video of that. These lies are not hard to find. And 2 directly contradictory statements means one is a lie. There is no f’n judgement involved.
But again you talk about me and you talk about nothing because the details show you have no f’n case. This started from me saying I can show you 50 million lies, notice you didn’t say show me 10 because you know I can. So kindly stop with this nonsense. You are as bad as Eddie, talk about me talk about me, talk about nothing. Tell me I’m wrong about what I say they said, have the courage of your convictions. Oh no you know and I know you won’t do that because you know and I know they said it. And you know and I know it’s not true. So make it about me, as if anyone here gives 2 f’s About me. Troll someone else

Maybe he’s broke his arm again!
You don’t care one bit about
the truth.
IN YOUR EYES! I answered 5 questions on the bounce from you the other week, DIRECTLY ANSWERING EACH QUESTION.
Yet you choose to ignore every point I made and babble on about other stuff to deflect from it.
You have an osession with liars.
Eddie - HE LIED
AJ - HE LIED
Wilder - HE LIED
ALL IN YOUR OPINION. And you had the nerve to say I swerve questions , you ignore every point put to you and the one time you answered a question about Wilder’s arm, what was your answer? HE LIED!
It must be amazing knowing everything you do !
Troll someone else
no, I like trolling you!;D you are so full of your own self importance, the way you talk , I have no clue what you think you are.
I don’t troll you, I just ask you to answer questions, and you blatantly go off on tangents and ignore the request.
All smoke and mirrors with you pal.
You go into defence mode and think if you can string enough babble along , people will forget , more importantly I will forget the original question , but I WON’T and you fucking hate it because you can’t shrug me off.
What conceivable reason would there be for Wilder to turn this down?
You can talk about the terms, moving the goalposts, lack of control yadda yadda. But Boxers fight for 2 reasons.
1. To be a champion and be seen as the best of the best.
2. Money
He has been given the opportunity to do both. To unify and become undisputed Heavyweight champion of the World and earn an amount of money that without Joshua and Fury , it will be impossible to get anywhere near in the rest of his career.
Why did Wilder send e-mails with offers of $50 Million according to his team, when he’s got a busted arm?
According to Ronnie Baby, HE LIED. cos Ron knows doesn’t he?
Actually no, Ron doesn’t know, because Ron don’t know Shit from Plum Pudding!
Answer , don’t answer, do what you fucking like, I couldn’t give a flying fuck! 😘

I was going to ignore this post but I decided that was rude and came back and read it.
I’m glad I did because for once you asked a relevant question. Why would Wilder turn down the deal, there are 100 potential reasons, most suck. I hope he doesn’t. If he does then he needs a good reason like a PPV coming NEXT, not in 2020, NEXT. If they won’t fight on DAZN until 2020 then he has no obligations until 2020 IF HE CAN GET A BETTER DEAL UNTIL 2020. If he can’t and he still doesn’t agree he is a punk. Which, I will enjoy. Because, and this is the part you haven’t grasped through all your fandom(you know where the word comes from right?) I DON’T LIKE DEONTAY WILDER. I just don’t like liars more. But, as much as I would enjoy that psycho looking foolish I would be bothered because all I care about about Wilder is him fighting Joshua or fighting Fury again. Other than that I don’t care about him at all and would prefer to never hear his endless babble.

“Fandom?” So who am I a big fan of then?

Re: Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
So you don’t know where the word comes from. Could have just said. Fandom means you are fanatical about someone or something. In your case it is a thing. You are arguing with me without arguing anything I’ve said. I said Eddie was a liar, you have not disputed that because the lies I stated can easily be found, yet you argue. Have you figured out your fandom?
I will be more clear in the future. How about this. If Wilder doesn’t sign a fantastic deal I will call him out just as I did with the liars Eddie and AJ. Clear?
More than that I hope he doesn’t sign long term or signs with DAZN because as I have said from the beginning I want AJ/Wilder and AJ to knock him out.

Re: Deontay Wilder has entered talks with DAZN to fight AJ
And I thought I was unlikeable in real life.

Haha you’re a joke. This mirrors all the shit with GGG . you can’t stand GGG, and you hide behind the “I just want the best fights man!” Horseshit.
Now it’s the same with AJ. “Bbbbut, bbbut, I hate Wilder, I wanna see AJ Knock him out. I just want the big fights man!”
Well listen, Clownio, despite all your protestations,it is not Hearn or AJ stopping this happening. But that’s all you go after.
Finally , once you’ve “called out” Wilder, along with Hearn , AJ, Fury , what you gonna whinge about after that?
Oh dear, oh dear, you are embarrassing.

It’s true. Ron sometimes can be level headed but he always uses the tactic of saying that he is or isn’t a fan of a fighter in order to “prove” that he isn’t being biased.
