Tevin Farmer vs. Jono Carroll

One of the best junior lightweights returns to the ring for his 2019 debut, as Tevin Farmer puts his IBF junior lightweight title on the line, when he faces Jono Carroll on Friday at the Liacouras Center in Farmer's hometown of Philadelphia, live and exclusively on DAZN. In the co-main event, WBA/IBF women’s lightweight champion Katie Taylor will face WBO champion Rose Volante in a title unification bout.

This will mark the fourth time Farmer (28-4-1 no contest, 6 KOs) competes since his championship win over Billy Dib last August. If the 28-year-old can get by Carroll, it would mark his third straight title defense and continue the chatter for a title unification with either WBA champion Gervonta Davis or WBO titleholder Andrew Cancio.

Carroll (16-0, 3 KOs) looks to squash those plans. The 26-year-old earned the title shot by going to a split draw against Guillaume Frenois in December.

Tevin Farmer vs. Jono Carroll will take place Friday, March. 15. The undercard is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET. followed by the main card at 9 p.m.

No. Who has this guy beaten to prove he is any good? There are a ton of fights at 130 that are much better. I’ll name them (although I understand not all are available at the present moment).

Berchelt, Vargas, Ito, Machado, Cancio, Davis, Rakhimov, jo jo Diaz (if he stays at the weight. Even someone like Castellanos who is a solid fighter but not necessarily a top guy. The weight class is semi deep but Farmar just keeps fighting non top guys. I’m not saying he is ducking them but is it just promotional issues or what?

Bit of a patch work card and honestly Carroll and Taylor being played up all in the name is St. Patrick's day weekend. Arguably he lost his last fight but he's tough enough and will show up but wouldn't be surprised to see Farmer get the body shot stoppage.

Reeeeally not a fan of these early evening start times. You get home off 12 hrs and half the cards over :p. It's a U.S card with a U.S headliner ffs. Would have liked to see the Lundy v Sparrow scrap.

Gabe Rosado in dropped and in big trouble in 1st. Sulecki looks massive.

I didn't realize this was on today. I just put it on..

The face of Rosado is on pace to resemble a plate of steak tattare. Solid work by Sulecki over 3 and Gabe trying to bolo and bluff his way through with wide right hands.

5-0 Sulecki. Not much on punches of Rosado. Sulecki should work that right hand overtime, right down the middle. He's wobbled Gabe twice when it gets home.

Oh oh rosado falls down again.. sulecki did ok v jacobs a year or two ago, sounds likes he's up next for Andrade :S

Oh dear sulecki just about out at the end of round nine... one round left... sulecki was cruising to victory and gets knocked down twice amazing

Sulecki looks a bit buggered herr. .. he's punching back but he looks a good punch away from going to sleep

I think if that was 12 rounds then there's a very good chance sulecki would have been stopped there... he probably should have tried holding and running a bit more at the end but wotever, made for fun viewing.

This is when Rosado needs to demand a 12 rounder if it involves a minor wbc trinket. Brian Kenny getting a bit carried away , Rosado wins 9 and 10 but on cards have 96-90.

Yeh had to be something whacky and pretty generous. Hope Sulecki v Andrade has a solid undercard.

Sulecki wasn't impressive. Although he managed to get a knockdown, he doesn't seem to have much power in his punches, nor world class footwork or hand speed. And he barely survived the last two rounds against a faded opponent.

Sulecki looks fairly handyat time, he looked small v jacobs but.large today so I guess he just a good sized middleweight that cruiser weight jacobs made look small... doesn't seem to have a lot of sense when hurt though and if I remember right he was doing fine v jacobs before he tired and jacobs took over so I guess he has trouble fighting the whole 12 rounds.

I think Poland will be a boxing and other sports major power in 10-20 years.

U.S loves it's stereotypes ;D. St Patrick day comes once a year and every other person you walk by is Irish for a day with a goofy fake accent but can't find Ireland on a Globe a magical table top pizza shaped map with edges made of frosting :-X.

You don't have chrome cast or anything like that? I actually usually watch it on the phone unless it's somethong big time :S. Dazn is great value if you like other sports too, it's primarily not boxing.

Carrol seems to be winning but I think farmer is having some good success with body punches, I think carrol will slow and farmer will took over later on

I gave the 2nd to the Leprechaun fella with the massive hipster beard. Farmer doesn't like it to the body
