Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
2 cracking Heavyweight fights coming our way.
Dubois v Gorman for the British title is set to be a real domestic war, I give Dubios the edge in power but Gorman seems the faster and more mobile fighter and seems confident he'll scalp Dubois.
Hard to call but I'm going with a fairly early Dubois stoppage as Gorman imo hasn't been hit by anyone like Dubois yet.
Joyce v Jennings is another good matchup and a real step up for Joe Joyce.
Jennings has mixed it at the higher levels and been 12 rounds with Klitschko, was beating Rivas on the cards until the final round and lost to Ortiz.
Tough test for Joyce but one i think he'll win by simply bulldozing his way to a late stoppage.
Think we're in for 2 great fights here so really looking forward to these.
THE HEADLINERS ON the July 13 ‘Heavy Duty’ blockbuster at The O2, London will be supported by a weighty undercard featuring genuine contenders and richly talented prospects.
Daniel Dubois and Nathan Gorman take top billing with their hugely anticipated collision with the British heavyweight title at stake. The two top young heavies in the business are being backed up by another headline act in the shape of Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce pushing himself into double figures as a professional.
Liam Williams will be looking to put himself back into the world title mix at the o2, with the two-weight British champion back in action after two massively impressive middleweight performances against Mark Heffron and Joe Mullender.
Sunny Edwards now features in the WBO world rankings at super flyweight and the younger half of the affectionately dubbed ‘Croydon Klitschkos’ will be seeking to bolster his position with another punch-perfect display.
WBO European super featherweight champion Archie Sharp is also on the bill bidding to build on his standout win over Lyon Woodstock back October, having returned from injury to demolish Sergio Gonzalez in two rounds in a Wembley tune-up in April.
With Zelfa Barrett and Woodstock clashing in Leeds on June 15, Sharp will be looking to once again put his own marker down in what is an ultra-competitive division in this country.
The 6ft1″ Hamza Sheeraz is given the opportunity to continue building his formidable reputation as a super welterweight of great promise at the age of just 19.
Sheeraz will enter into his ninth professional fight at the o2, while super bantamweight southpaw Jake Pettitt will be looking to move to 6-0 on the night.
Explosive Albanian Florian Marku also joins the party, with the 3-0 (3 KOs) welterweight who enjoys a passionate following in London looking to maintain his 100 per cent stoppage ratio on the big stage. The 26-year-old has not been extended beyond 4mins 1 sec in his short professional career to date.
Another one not known to hang about is Portsmouth lightweight Mark Chamberlain. ‘Da Bomb’, as the 20-year-old has christened himself, has a professional record consisting of two fights, with just 1min 36 secs spent in combat.
Dennis ‘The Menace’ McCann got his debut done and dusted in less than two minutes at Stevenage last weekend with an eye-catching performance captured by BT Sport. The 18-year-old goes again at the o2 Arena in a swift return to the ring.
His teammate at the iBox Gym in Bromley and three-time national champion, Mickey Burke Jr, makes his professional debut and is certainly one to watch with his all-action approach.

That's because it's a decent domestic matchup with 2 UK fighters going for the British title.
There's history in these British Heavyweight title fights
Nearly always a good fight!

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
I expect Dubois to have to much firepower for Gorman but he can box a bit good fight this.
I like Joyce he's a big unit hopefully he can get this win.

I'm sorry for making you angry, I'm doing my best. I will try to use Google Translate more often, but on my phone it is cumbersome. I say I'm excited about these fights and hope that it leads to the winner's fight

I’m reading a lot of positivity on here for this fight, but I only realised today that is a PPV Event. What a complete joke and piss take.

Really did not know that. Just gets worse and worse for boxing PPV which said it would be for elite matches.

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
genuine 50 50, i think gorman wins but dubois' power might be the savior late
-
Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
This is free on BT sports 1 not a PPV event

Was definitely showing as BT Sport box office a few days ago. They’ve clearly taken note of my rant! ;D;D

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
For the sake of obscene rankings that now have Joyce number 1 in the wba ??? I hope Jennings pulls the upset. Probably a hill to high though at this stage and he'll be stopped on his feet around 8 or 9. Think they're airing this on espn+ also which means most can opt to wait 5 minutes and catch the highlights on fb :p.

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
If Gorman can take Dubois bombs then he'll win this, way faster and a slick boxer with decent combos and a cracking uppercut that he loves to throw.
If he can't take Dubois power then he's banged out as soon as it lands flush.
Can't wait for this one and fair play to both men for sticking to what the BBBOC has ordered 😎

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
I've backed Gorman to win on points, I am looking forward to this one, good fight I don't think anyone can be certain of the outcome.

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
buzzed for this. these occassions seem rare

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
It's got the same vibe as Lennox Lewis v Gary Mason

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
Just been watching their face off on YouTube. It is pretty obvious that Gorman got the better of him in sparring, DDD actually looked pretty unsettled when they were talking about it.
Saying that DDD has absolutely zero personality.

Triple D was younger then, he is a man now last time he was a boy.

Definitely and they both admitted as much but there isn't much doubt about who came out on top 3 or 4 years ago, don't forget that DDD would have only been 17/18 so he wouldn't have been quite the physical beast that he is now.

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
Sharp v McCorry up now
I'm backing McCory just because of Sharps silly hair
-
Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
McCorry landed a few decent shots in that first round and probably won it, should be enough to give him a bit of confidence, get the feeling that Sharp is just having a look at him at the minute though
-
Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
If Sharp wasn't so tall he could star in the new Bill and Ted movie. Great left hand.
-
Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
Sharp is a cocky little fucker, slippery as an eel against McCory, dropped him with a lovely body shot then, that hurt.
Think it'll all be done in this round
-
Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
Lovely Honey Ale. Had your curry yet Batman?

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
McCorry is a tough mofo, eating them bodyshots, clearly hurt and then come back and landed some solid shots of his own, come on the Jock
-
Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
He is tough but not sharp. Well obviously... I mean what use is writing your shopping list on your back?
-

Bill S Preston Esquire for me.

Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
Williams dominating the 1st round boxing beautifully behind his jab. He should beat this Archour
-
Re: Dubois v Gorman - Joyce v Jennings -13/7/19 - O2 London
Liam Williams stops his opponent in the 2nd round with a big over hand right hand to get the first knock down and then ref stops it after the 2nd knockdown.
Impressive performance.
