Another point deducted from Conlon in the 5th round so he has to stick to the head now. Takoucht is making a meal out of this as he is being out boxed.

Takoucht fought hard in the 8th round and probably deserves the round for his valiant effort.

This ref loves the idea of being a factor it seems.

Frampton v Traynor on now
Traynor folded a very durable local fighter I have covered a lot, Des Newton, in half. He should not be overlooked but Frampton is still probably a bridge too far for him.
Quiet round from both but the shorter Frampton landing the more eye catching shots.
1 nil Frampton.
Traynor giving it a good go in the 2nd and not intimidated by Frampton
1-1
Frampton faster and more accurate in the 3rd round as well as using good foot work.
2-1 Frampton

3-1
Very slow pace in the 5th round but not an impressive performance from Carl.
4-1
Frampton was coming forward in the 6th round and lands a hurtful body shot that put his opponent down at the end of the round.
Might have cracked Traynors rib there
Frampton stops his opponent with a big left hook to the body at the end of the 7th round. Traynor walks away not wanting to continue.
Good work out for Carl Frampton.
Conlan needs to step up competition. I didn’t realize that he was 28. Time isn’t on his side. I don’t think that he will end up being great though. I think he will be a top 5 guy in the division but probably not above that. I could be wrong though.
Frampton looked sharp but his opponent wasn’t the greatest so we will see. He may be able to beat Herring since I don’t think Herring is that good.
I honestly don't get the Conlan hype. He's decent enough but seems to be more style over substance. Think he gets beat handily when he steps up to the world level.
