Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
what was the point of that? Both fighters put forth good performances. Zab fought his ass off and still came up short. The least you Mayweather fans, instead of making arses of yourselves credit both fighters for their performances
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
Exactly. And choosing Mayweather, the favored fighter and easy pick...
... there is no pride in that! haha Nothing to brag about that you chose the fighter, just about over 95% of boxing writers chose.

Zab could have won the fight Starr. I was nervous. He came to play, but the body shots IMO, caught up with him. Even though I'm a Floyd fan, I always said Zab COULD win the fight. But, I also said that Zab doesn't make adjustments, and Floyd does. That was the difference in the fight. I hope Zab comes back. Not hacking on him, but with his losses, he could get a fight with someone good, that is on the outside looking in, or someone who thinks they are good looking to pad their record. In either case, Zab will win another fight. And, if he plays his cards right, he could be right back in it. Losing to Floyd isn't a disgrace. Just ask Castillo, Jesus Chavez, or Corrales, they are all making money and doing quite well.
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
Especially the way he lost. I can't think of anyone as competitive since Castillo the first time. What do you think of that 119-109 score by the judge for PBF :( I had it 115-113 for PBF. And yes Zab COULD have won that fight. And Floyd COULD have been called for the knockdown in the 2nd ;)
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
thats definately the most competitive floyd fight since the first castillo fight....for 4 rounds zab looked extremely sharp....but thereafter floyd did begin to control with more ease....
the 119-109 scorecard was ludicrous....no way was it that decisive...
if they ever fought again, i would have to say it would be the same result....
zab offered resistance but he couldnt keep it going...
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
I'd like to see Judah given one more chance to roll the dice against Margarito and see if he's got what it takes to get another Mayweather fight. Judah should be even cheaper to make fights with after this. No way could you score it 115-113 unless you paid the knockdown in Rnd 2.

I don't get it...picking the loser or underdog some how gives you a sense of pride? What? And if 95% of writers picked PBF and you or whom ever else picked with the 5%...wouldn't that be considered a lack of common sense on the parts of the 5% that picked Judah...

I had it 116-112. I agree with the knockdown, which would make it 115-113. Floyd wasn't hurt, but it should have counted.

To be honest Starr, mayweather could have been dq'd (stephen smith was dq'd when his trainer/father entered the ring during a fight with hatton). Judah should have been credited with the knockdown as mayweather's glove clearly touched (hamed got called for against kelley). And when you get a score of 119-109 you start to wonder wether Zab realy had a chance to begin with. I had it 116-112. If Zab had'a let his hands go like he was early on, then he could have won.
Respect for Mayweather tho he made the adjustments that Zab failed to make (til the 12th anyway). I feel that the body shops took there toll on Judah but Judah surprised me, he took sum flush shots n came right back.
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
Zab was beaten by the better boxer, period.

Who the hell are you to tell someone who they should give credit to? When a guy get's his @ss kicked and resorts to low blows and rabbit punches, he doesn't deserve credit, so please, get lost troll.
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
I would have to agree that was a chicken sh@t move by judah ala Mike Tyson (holyfield,McBride) Floyd made the adjustments. it was a thorough painting of Judah late in the fight Zab is a great athlete Like Dominique Wilkens,Clyde Drexler but when they faced Jordan sure they scored and looked good but jordan was on a different level...Like Floyd ;)
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
i think its the PBF fans who need to be quiet. they aint expect it to last 12, everyone was like easy ko. zab fans can hold their head high.
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
::** I don't get it... Zab could have possibly been stopped if he hadn't resorted to that garbage in the 10th round..
And for anyone who says Floyd should have been DQed.. Well the ref called a timeout after the fouls occured, and even MArc Ratner the athletic commissioner was quoted as saying since the ref called time afterwards, Roger was not violating any rules entering the ring, and did not warrant a DQ.... And your telling me that Judah couldn't possibly have been DQed for that?? Or even deducted a point? Yeah right.
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
Only someone with a baised opinion about Judah would try to bring up the 11th round, see how most of us are beyond that and giving credit where it's due. And not taking it away.
Re: Serious Message to Judah Fans
floyd was wearing winnings, and he STILL got knocked down

Purist, I feel the EXACT SAME WAY. I scored it the same. And that was BS that the KD wasn't scored. That judge who scored it 119-109 oughta be banned from ever judgin another fight. That is just a disgrace and insult to Judah's great effort.
