Danny Jacobs and Andrade on DAZN Nov.27

Saw today that they have put a card together and was really excited as I thought they were facing each other. All it was is to announce some stellar additional fights on an upcoming card though

Jacobs vs Gabriel Rosado :-X...Demetrius Andrade vs wait for it..one Dusty Hernandez-Harrison???. A career welterweight who needed to foul to earn a 'draw' vs Mike Dallas Jr. What in the hell is going on. They're calling it a non title stay busy fight. It honestly feels as though Andrade has had a string of stay bust fight now. I know Rosado is a have hard hat will travel type scraper and is rather worn and torn now. For a stay busy it may be ok. Maybe Rosado catches a lukewarm Danny. I just think both Jacobs and Andrade have really let themselves fall under the radar and have to wonder what DAZN looks to gain with 'stay busy' cards like this. Set for Nov 27th.

Jacobs was good at some point but he has really seemed to slip the last year or two. I don’t know if he is a top guy anymore. Rosado is a gatekeeper. He can never beat a top guy.

I agree that Andrade seems to keep having “tune up” fights. He has talent and skill but has never proven himself

Disgusted with the 168 division and no one fighting each other.

Last 168 fight I thoroughly enjoyed was Degale vs Jack.

At least Loma and Lopez are showing everyone in boxing what it’s all about.

The one word that I keep thinking of in regards to Andrade is monotony. You're right on Jacobs, it's almost unexplainable. Hopefully the plan is to bring Andrade moving up to meet Jacobs next. Also think Liam Williams would be a solid fight for Andrade. It'll at least wake him up in the ring.

DAZN take over

Rather than another thread just bumping along. So Danny and Rosado are set to go tonight. The Andrade mismatch was scraped. Looks like Emmanuel Tagoe 31-1 v hometown Mason Menard 36-4 will be the co main. Great to see Tagoe make U.S debut and Menard should be a willing opponent looking for the big shots. Unfortunately last we saw Menard Teofimo Lopez was pulverizing him within 1 round :-X.

Daniyar Yeleussinov v Julius Indongo was added to card late too.

Tagoe and Menard going into the 6th with Tagoe doing the better work outside and clutching Menard up when he comes in. Shoulder to shoulder 5th but not much landing clean. Left eye of Menard swollen near shut and taking some deep breaths. Real involved ref but is pretty physical fight.

Nice combo end of 6th catches Menard clean! Tagoe does a good job of positioning Menard and working towards center ring, he's beginning to let the hands go

Better end of round for Menard who is brawling and mauling but low volume. Tagoe nice with the basement to head triple jabs

Stream dropped :p. Into 9th as Tagoe was really landing some chopping right hands and Menard barged in. 8th was a 4 minute round

Scores 98-92..96-94..and 95-95 :-X. Tagoe gets it

Sahret Delgado from PR in at 291 lbs. 8-0 Big fella fighting 2-0 Majidov. Hope those ropes are reinforced

Chris Mannix is a bit of a dickhead. Majidov all force and pretty controlled attack off jab. Buzzed Delgado late 1st. How old is Majidov?

Power jab of Majodov is very brutal and fluid. Has a way of cupping Delgados hands away from face and hooking off of it. Nose of Delgado has gone all cherry slushy. Can't se this going much more

That's a wrap ref waves it off after Delgado is stood stock still after a hard 1-2 in corner. Majidov actually helps him in corner and holds him up ???. Delgado looks really messed up in corner pretty concerning

Majidov looks pretty good. His issue is that he is 34 years old and is now 3-0. He has a lot of catching up to do. He seems to have heavy hands and moves pretty well. His hands are pretty quick too for his size.

Agreed pretty impressive with that size. Looks to have a little wear and tear from long amatuer career maybe but def one to watch close!

Why in the world is a 22 yr old kid with only 9 starts fighting at catchweight. Nikita Ababiy fighting Brandon Maddox.

Ababiy is one of those fighters that looks impressive but I’m not sure if he will ever go anywhere.

I'd dock a point for that haircut on "White Chocolate".

Maddox did pretty well in the first round

Maddox on point with the stick and landing clean rights frequently on Ababiy. Managed to bust his nose and red along right eye ???. Kid needs to get off center line

Maddox is very effective with his jab. The problem is that he is starting to take way too many body shots which are really bothering him

Ababiy using the jab as an afterthought and throwing all load up bombs. Pretty solid body shots but one at a time.

Ababiy has so many flaws. Mainly, he is just an athletic kid.

Into the 5th Ababiy steadied last couple rounds but he really doesn't put much together and has the head movement of Mount Rushmore. Maddox huffing and puffing but getting in soft touches in this round.

I have it a draw.

Two main problems with Ababiy. First, for being an offensive fighter, he has a tough time putting his punches together. Second, he has real problems with getting jabbed.

Indongo went down in the second and then got up and quit

Have to hand it to Rosado. Guy has been dragged behind the truck and run over from the front but always chin first. Tougher than leather but if Danny is on point this should be a total crimson paint by numbers for him.

Danny with that frustrating body language in 1st. Looks very conscious of the short left hooks. Love to see that jab piston fired Jermain Taylor style. Without it he does get a bit meh

I hope DAZN gets dropped hard at some point. Maybe TV can make a full comeback.

Oh my gosh. This fight is so boring. Jacobs has really slipped. I feel like the GGG fight was the only fight he looked good in for years.

I don't begrudge them the effort aside from unreliable feeds and lag. It's a start. But never have that problem with espn+ here :-X. I don't think tv networks are going anywhere. Ooof this has really been a low boil fight into the 6th. Danny looks low key stale.
