Cool, what sort of fights? He turning you pro or his he managing your Amatuer fights?
You got a card for either division? Whats your record? :)
Didn't you say that the furthest gym from you was like 200 miles? ??? I'd be a bit dubious of them if you don't have a gym or a trainer. How'd they hear of you?
good for you mate
Good for you! ;D
Thanx for all the compliments every one. I think it waz from when I used to have a trainer and every thing. Other than that I just don't really know. All I know is that I waz just sitting there watching tv and the phone rang I answered it and that is who it waz.
Did he go over any details or anything like that? I'd like to know the details :)
No he didn't yet? I am supposed to send in a video and then he said we will go over things and sign the contract.Quote:

He just wants to see me in action. Like in a fight. I could be sparing an actual bout any thing. He just ask if I had any footage of any fights or any thing.Quote:

My question would be, and, really, its none of my business (but we are on this forum to discuss things), but what has he offered you? For instance, you are without a trainer, so has there been talk of finding you one---before you get to the ring for your first fight? There are lots of guys that "manage" fighters and take their percentage for keeping the guy busy in fights in which he is overmarched, be it due to skill, experience, short notice , whatever. All to often in the history of the game a fighter is alone; his rep in negotiations over money and so on is working for himselfand not the boxer.
That said, in this day and age if you aren't (or weren't) an amateur star you'll tend to get lumped into the "food" category. Do you know anybody within the boxing people in the area you'll be fighting in and around that knows the sport, the boxers, and that you can trust? Maybe they can influnce the manager as he tries toget you fights, get him to put you in favorably instead of to get beat. Or, at least, he could advise you on whether or not to take a match.
The sport is all about dreams and taking a shot, and I wish you all the best. Get yourself a trainer that teaches boxing- not some towel carrier-and get back to work and put yourself in a place that you can succeed from, and find somebody you can trust.
greys Thats very good advice
You had any bouts yet Bill? ;) :)
Sorry not trying to start anything no offence to you.Quote:

I dont know anything about your boxing background nor Am I ameteur or pro, i box in a dead end gym Where there is about 1 ameteur fight every year so I dont know much, my language was a bit strong sorry.
Yea man thanx for the addvice. I truly am taking in all this stuff u all are telling me and every thing. He knows I have no trainer right now but he said send him the video of me in action so he can see my skill level and stuff. Then we will talk and nagotiate a contract that suits us both. I will keep in mind every thing u guys been saying when it comes time to nagotiate the contract. If some of that stuff isn't in there I will bring it up and if he can't give me what I want and/or need then I will tell him to go fuck himself.
You had any bouts yet Bill? :cowboy:
Next month is my first since I started again up here.
Good luck ;) Your first is a big step... once its out the way competing becomes as normal as sparring ;)
Hey there every one! I just got another call this one I am offered a manager, trainer, and a place to stay down in Cali.

These other ones aren't asking for a video. But yea I think I may get some fottage of one of my fights in the AFC.
Remember to be carefull! We have all heard the stories of boxers being taken advantage of. Make sure you know how and how much the managers, trainers, room, equipment, and all of that is getting paid for. I would be carefull if you have to pay somebody back for paying for all of this up front.
Yea I know man. Thank u all for looking of for me.
