I would say no! I have always said that he will struggle vs a good left hooker!

He has had hard fights already. I do not think Conor Benn has what it takes.


He has enough to make a living, but I do not think he is world class .... AT ALL!

I think he should probably win this one, but it really is a sign of these Covid afflicted times that this is a main event.

How Courtenay and Bridges is for a world title is beyond me. We've seen Courtenay schooled pretty recently and I don't think the other girl can fight.

What is your outcome? From what you said I think you want Benn to win but understand that he needs to change what he has done previously.

I think they have a maybe similar style but Vargas has done it at a much higher level.

Benn will defo be lured into a tear up, if he stays back and picks him off I will be surprised

Have to think Benn will adjust as needed. He should have more options of the two. But no doubt Vargas will be volume pressure. It'll be on Benn to keep busy pick his spots and get needed respect but not go wide and wild with it. Vargas will take 4 to get in 1 but last I saw he can keep it tight inside with counters and shows a bit of some old school guile. A tko for Benn would be massive if he's serious about running with the bigger names at 147 or he can stink it out and look for a Khan showcase at home :-X.

I cannot disagree with you mate. You have an absolute sound mind idea of how this should go.

My thoughts have always been that benn is hugely open to left hooks, and I do not think Vargas has huge LH power. However based on the Peynaud fight, I feel Benn will fall short here. Peynaud Is not Vargas and I have not seen enough improvement in Benn since then to think he can win.

But hey, I understand boxing, I have done for decades, however I am 50/50 all the time lol

Yes he really has. His last 2 performances have been excellent nothing like the raw domestic fighter he was before the lock down. He has knuckled down and focused on learning the discipline of boxing. Improved his skills and looks destructive.

Eddie saying Amir is a big jump. I believe Amir is KO’d based on this. I had little faith tonight.

He won but he won in fantastic fashion, he should be pushed past UK level now.

I wish I never gave up my YouTube channel because this would be a decent one.

Other than the cash grab Khan would, to me at least, be a step backwards based on this result and momentum. Khan has had one foot out the career door for years. No need (fan want) for it really. Come Stateside and beat up Broner for us eh.

I'm guessing it was the adrenaline that was causing him to shoot his mouth off like that but it takes something away from him when he's running around the ring shouting PAY PER VIEW
