This is a good fight Saturday! 122 Unification showdown with winner agreeing to face Fulton for another trinket. When a network-promotion makes them fight we win. Both these guys run risk of letting 'it' pass them by so time is now. Battle of the leaky defenses and letting the better hands go maybe. Think Nery might get him tko real late.
Alright another must see Saturday night card ;D;D. Stephen Fulton Jr getting some mic time. Opener is Xavier Martinez 16-0 in true crossroads with 'been there-done that' vet Juan Carlos Burgos. Not like Burgos has been getting banged out he just hasn't done much since being screwed by Roman Martinez and the L 12 to Mikey.

This looks like a decent card from PBC for once.
Some really nice short compact counter punching off the ropes in 2nd for Martinez. Sharp and clean and a mind on head movement. Burgos step behind and throwing really wide.

Nice work off ropes for Burgos behind the jabs. Not a ton on them but cleaner for him. Xavier is slippery with the upper body movement. Smothering himself a bit late 5th and Burgos rips off nice 4 piece combo.
Nasty sharp left hook snaps Burgos and just pisses him off ;D. Nice response backs Martinez a bit but Martinez so much shorter and sharper puts shots together really well. Tough round 6th
Xavier Martinez definitely a step above for 16 bouts. Just enjoyable to watch 'work'. 4,5,6 punch combo jolts Burgos badly end of 7th but stays upright. Good shat
Great tempo scrap. Martinez comfortable ring center or riding ropes with inside work. Burgos tough as always stepped himself up well tonight but in a major hole points wise. Martinez closes round countering same short right down the middle, on a loop!
Holy hell brutal work with Burgos stuck on ropes taking everything coming and literally saying "whut". Awesome battle this one and balls to the wall exchange as the bell ends it. Give em a bonus
Scores 99-91 x3 Martinez. Def clear winner. One of those 'competitive' one sided battles though. And crowd booing some :p. Must be 2 for 1 draft night.
Burgos has some of the worst footwork I've ever seen. :) Maybe if he could get in the vicinity of the other fighter occasionally he wouldn't be throwing half his punches off balance.
Ricardo Espinoza v Daniel Roman should be guaranteed shoot out.

I predict the crowd boos again ;D. Roman looked to be in real control and picked his spots all day. Espinoza bleeding from a few different spot tough nut all out though.

Figueroa 4th brutal round. Nery trying to be cute but that pressure is felt. 2-2 here
The ratio of punches thrown to anything clean landing is amazing. It's almost a shock when one of them lands something.
Brandon is taking the return better and clipping Nery when he gets him to ropes. Nery plants feet and runs off a near dozen shots downstairs end 5th. Close round Nery ends stronger.

Figueroa walking through his stuff now just a bit. Nery has moments where he blows in the wind now

not often do we get an event where each fight delivers. brandon is not one for defense but luis lost his weight advantage since leaving bantam & it showed. how long will these guys avoid daniel?
