Floyd should be embarrassed..
I never watched the Floyd/Logan exhibition live.
After waking up in the morning, and realising there was no knockout from Floyd it’s obvious he should be completely embarrassed.
We get the money, we get the exhibition and we get the weight difference.
These exhibition fights are on the rise, and even though Floyd is retired he didn’t put on any show.
He could have at least KO a youtuber?
Hopefully we won’t see anymore of this rubbish unless a KO is guaranteed!

Did we really expect Floyd to ko a guy 5 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier? Really?

Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
It's as if it was set up so both could say they won to set up a rematch or floyd v the errrrr undefeated Paul....
Floyd is retired for a while now and he's not really relevant anymore so if he can fleece some people out of millions we'll good for him... I doubt it will do much to help or harm boxing though.
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
I was just glad it didn't get any mention ;D. I fully grew to expect Floyd as one who would continue the mega-fund circus shows but to see Showtime now carry direct was more of a low blow. Exhibitions with greats you can respect but this is Mayweather literally collecting cans from the dumpster. But hey Luis Arias scored an upset on number world ranked Hurd so yeh. Strange world this boxing. Manny sits on the cusp of reaffirming a stamp on clash of eras greatness.
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
Floyd has been an embarrassment for a long time. He fights non-boxers for the attention as he does not need the money but craves the attention that someone with low self-esteem has.
Many Pac is a true great and shows more class.
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
To be honest, I have only watched highlights, but it wouldn't surprise me if Mayweather carried Paul.
This whole event just seemed like a way for Mayweather to showcase his newfound head of hair & pristine beard.
He'll be back so long as he keeps making millions.
I expect he'll be on the phone to Homer Simpson next to try & finish the job that Drederick Tatum couldn't.
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
I watched the fight for free on one of them streaming sites and still feel robbed.
I don't see fights like this as a good or bad thing for boxing, they just are what they are. They're not boxing. It was a glorified spar without headgear.
People who say its "sad" that Mayweather is doing this. There's nothing sad about making 30 million dollars. Mayweather is retired. Nothing he does in exhibitions has any affect on his boxing legacy. As soon as casual fans stop taking these exhibitions seriously they'll understand that.
As to the fight - Did people seriously think an inactive Mayweather at 44 was just gonna walk through a 20 younger guy, that is 30 pounds heavier than and is an athlete and was there to survive ?
Look at the size difference

Logan Paul would have been hit WAY HARDER in sparring than what Mayweather hit him. But ppl thought Floyd who isn't a pressure fighter or a big hitter was just gonna KO him ?
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
I don’t think Mayweather carried him. It took three rounds for Floyd to stop being wary of the size and power of a much much bigger man (who had clearly trained very hard for this) and wait for him to fatigue
Mayweathers plan was to keep the tomato can busy, tire him out and then stop him later like he did with mcgregor ….. but he couldn’t.
You could see him getting frustrated by the tomato cans holding, and - crucially - Mayweather spotted the right openings, but just couldn’t pull the trigger quickly enough anymore.
Joke of a contest of course

Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
Mayweather won't give a fuck what anyone thinks about him, this did over 1 Million PPV buys at $49.99 and Floyd is rumoured to getting 50% of the buys on top of his fight fee.
That's serious money..... about $65 Million serious

I don't like these BS exhibition bouts at all but when guys are earning that kind of money they will obviously take it.
Logan Paul is the 3rd highest earning "Boxer" over the past 12 months behind only Canelo and Joshua
There's now serious talk of Carl Froch fighting Roy Jones Jnr and even Frank Bruno fighting Jones too.
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
Yep - I'd be embarrassed too for that kind of money and that's the bottom line.
I completely agree it's disgraceful and Paul has earned more now than most boxers in a career. Plain wrong.
Can we fault Floyd ?
From a boxing fan perspective almost certainly. From a personal financial point of view then sorry no you can't

Floyd always has been and still is a Genius at self marketing..... there's a reason he's nicknamed "Money"
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
i bet its hard to take for most boxers that Logan is making so much money for just 2 fights
there must be some benefit to boxing tho and the earning power of boxers no?

Unless your clever with what you earn at domestic level (invest it in Bricks & Mortar/Sound business) it won't last long.
Only the PPV fighters are earning big money.
I don't see any worthwhile reward in a fighter barely making British title level and getting his brains punched to fuck over a 5-8 year career, most (not all) fighters come from shit backgrounds with little education which is why so many end up skint alcoholics or junkies and seriously go off the rails.
Tough game Boxing
Re: Floyd should be embarrassed..
My hat's off to Money-May.
Fighters placing their lives on the lines with wreckless abandment, willing to go out on their shield and can't make 10 million in 20 years. Yet Floyd was offered, accepted an (EXHIBITION) match for millions- and none of us would have taken it?
I didn't forget this happened: Planned Pacquiao fight takes a hit after McGregor UFC loss.
https://www.bworldonline.com/planned...egor-ufc-loss/
Again guys like Pac finds himself fighting fighters (after Floyd) fought them. No way could I justify- just because it fell through doesnt mean - any pro boxer would take a chance at a mega payday with a MMA star on their rules....they dont have balls like Clarissa Shields.
Floyd talks loudest so he will reap it the most I get it- but if I hear it whispered I will hold those in the same light- to me Floyd fighting Connor or Paul is no different than when Bernard Hopkins called out Floyd...$ move. RJJ called out DLH...after everybody had whooped him- IMO it was a $ move.
Or as Money stated post exhibition presser- he fought for 10 years under Arum (I thought it was less) and said he never made those mil-paydays
https://youtu.be/bVsYEEE0tgo
When it is all said and done, only 1 or 2 fighters we could claim May didnt fight- Margarito- but we now see Floyd was offered that IMO in the same way Arum offered Crawford-Spence
Spence turned down Arum & crawford just like Floyd turned down Arum & Margarito.
Pac left Arum- because he is quiet and humble- we will never know how pissed Manny HAS to be to leave Arum
And to hear Arum bash crawford, then state - he thinks Spence beats Pac..proves Floyd knew what he was doing when he bought himself out.
He is retired. The least hit fighter. Highest connect%. Dropped once (his glove scraped the canvas) For all his faults, I give a fighter due that fought 50 times, several weight classes and never dropped? Not a flashknockdown? Rather a scraped glove due to a nerve(when he started getting chronic hand pain) causing him to fight where he could get those hand injections- no one forced him out of that comfort zone..not sure why.
So I had no issues with his exhibition- if he held Paul up from the crunching right...heck...why did we need to see a KO in an exhibition?
