Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
This is a good fight Saturday. Tug looking for the 2 week notice TBA fill in for Gamboa...that's just odd to begin with...and moving up to do it. Colbert called him chubby. Talk about fighting words :-X. I've come around on Colbert a bit. Dude isn't Whitaker on his even mediocre day yet but he sure is trying and has a knack for real shifty sharpshooting up close. Tug coasted his last out v Breedy and is in need of real intensity if he wants to track down and torch Colbert me thinks or he gets beat up.

Better make it physical and kill that body. But Colbert has some chippy physicality too. He probably went to school at what Russell Jr hand speed did against Tug.

I hear ya. Hour and half into card and nothing live yet. Currently interviewing and promoting Bellator mma :-X.
Michel Rivera 20-0 aka Don't call me a Felix Trinidad lookalike v Jon Fernandez 21-1 at 135 coming up
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Like Rivera early 3-1. Fluid picking his own and using that ring. Solid head movement and defense. Showing a sharp straight right and buzzed Fernandez early 4th. Rivera looks like a guy who when he finally sits down can do real damage in combination.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Good work Mr Spicoli, argy game ending, some odd ref decisions. Will swicht over in a few mins
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Rivera got clipped with the Fernandez right and goes down :-X. Missed it yapping to the neighbor. Rivera was genuinely hurt there, 4-2
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Fernandez gets a time out for hitting himself in the balls ???. Jake Reese calls it a deflected self inflicted low blow ;D 5-2 Rivera
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
:angryxo4: Absolutely hellacious right hand by Rivera ends it! Just a cleanish brutal sharp one & done KO! Put that one the all year reel.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
I turned it on a few seconds before the KO, not bad timing :S.... Got to say I think riveria won that one.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
"I am the reincarnation of Muhammed Ali". Oh boy..we got another one. he's def looking to Americanize himself as quick as possible ;D. You can see it in swagger and throwing those hands around with Jim Grey.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
I like his efforts to speak English even though he's not great at it, good for him(really) , speaking a second language isn't easy.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Jimeny Christmas colbert lips are more in synch with the rap than the errrrr guy performing the entrance rap, the camera even cut away from the rappers face.
I hope King tug wins but it doesn't sound like he will
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Tug has legit crack. Be good to see what happens on Colbert when it gets in. Colbert has that wrestling heel work going on ;D
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Gheesh. talking size difference here
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
2-0 Colbert great reflexes on the kid. Tug keeping close but the frame difference is glairing. Tugs right hand is live Colbert better stop bending into it.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Tug putting it on him early 3rd. Real nice 1-2 punch had Colbert doing his best Pazienza 'do it again' impression. King Tug 3rd..small package but real strength. Colbert felt those
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Headbutt. Colbert standing high up walking onto it a bit. Tug getting the timing down :-X. Gritty fight early on Colbert needs to sharpen up. Call me dunk I like Tug in 4th. 2-2
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
King tug isn't getting blasted here good for him, he's landed some stuff too but I think colbert has this under control, hopefully tug changes that.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Man this is really burning down to pick your poison. Just feels King Tug getting the harder effective and holding his ground close last couple rounds. Colbert little bit flicking and flashing his way through in 5th.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Not looking good for nyam cat, he could get stopped
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Colbert back on point last round 7th and upped the physical. Has that rapid jab and getting off and getting out. Good movemnt. Dude needs to slow his hot dog down though. Clean boxing Colbert 8th. Tug has to floor it
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Tug being towed and slowed in 9th. Like to see Colbert let more go honestly but in control.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Bah short notice and moving up in weight the Mongolian did well but now it's pretty much over.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
One day..probably not today..Colbert is going to get dumped on his face walking into that right :-X. Good scrap by both to 11th. Colbert in hunt and peck mode Tug stays close but not getting off
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
Oof 118-110 twice? I must have missed that fight but all sorts out in the end. Tug kept his hands in his pockets last few rounds for most part. Good sharper show by Colbert but work to do.
-
Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
I think with Colbert what you see is what you get: featherfisted, no elite skills, special effects, or attitude. Hair color doesn't cut it for me.

It get's worse when you realize Nyambayar moved up in weight and took the fight on less then two weeks notice
To be honest I really like this Michel Rivera in his undercard fight with Jon Fernandez (Who is also a good fighter)
He (Rivera) got knockdown.

But came back with a highlight reel KO

Look at him with his Muhammad Ali shorts

Big KO for La Zarza Ali! I love it. Fk all that Long fancy shorts shit
He's been compared to Trindad. He even looks a bit like him

23 years old. 21-0. I don’t know what it is with the Dominicans but they all seem to be able to swat a tonne. And good to see him learning English and man this lad loves to talk

Re: Chris Colbert v King Tug Nyambayar Showtime
chris is big for super featherweight. i like his jab & his movement. he will struggle against bigger guys who can punch. oscar would ice him. michel v jon was a good fight but i don't think much of either. michel is a an icing waiting to happen
