Jaron Ennis v Thomas Dulorme ~ Jamal James v Radzhab Butaev Showtime

This Saturday night. All the makings of an eventual showdown ahead between co main Boots and main event winner. Dulorme is in that long road traveled stage and showed competitive against both James and Stanionis last two fights. Don't sleep on Dulorme but it's a comparative measuring stick for top ranked Ennis who would do well to get right to work. Handle business impressively then grab a seat ringside. Jamal James gets the main event slot for another interim belt match...wba seems to love those.. against Radzhab Butaev 13-0 and have no idea how this could go. Shango is 6'2 and does tend to forget it often. Decent card and time to get some new blood in 147!

Meh... Dulorme morphed into "measuring stick" status long ago. :(

https://youtu.be/j79aEzJlkCA Get the feeling Dulorme genuinely doesn't like Ennis. Good to see Michel 'Don't call me Tito' Rivera on the card. He's been steady rising hope he learned a bit after getting off the canvas to win last out.

Pretty standard long jabbing and 1-2s first two round by Rivera. He almost overextends himself making it harder to cut Romero off. Romero from Argentina seems up for it so far rolling better and getting off choppy flurries in 3rd. Like to see Rivera more side to side. Bit stiff and tall early

Long jab working overtime for Rivera. Finally gets some backfoot in 4th. Romero opens up looking to retaliate, awkward choppy stuff with so far not much on them. Man Mauro Ranallo going all shouty comic book on the mic stiff irritates ;D. Rivera winning the rounds clear and operating very in-out straight line.

Romero says his leg hurts in corner :-X. Seems Rivera can start rolling them out a bit now and do less sniping. Staying composed credit to him. Lands big right that moves Romero end of 6th

Rivera goes to canvas :-X on the way in off slappy left from Romero ruled a slip.

Just turned it on, I forget the Ali impersonator does look a bit like him :S

Rivera absolute pin point weighted right uppercut caught Romero who did well to stand up to it. Good finish to 7th for Rivera but Romero is a hard crude dude trying to throw back and taking what he has.

Rivera owns majority 8th but again Romero goes all in at end and landing a couple clean on Rivera but no effect. Rivera disputing trainer 'he's there follow up' in corner..Rivera with 'yeh but he don't stay there'. That was interesting

Rivera looks pretty quick and strong, doesn't look like he's at his final weight yet, I think he probably should be stopping this guy, looks like he has some nice potential though.

He really is trying to be Ali isn't he?... That could cost him in bigger fights :S

Helluva tough chin on Romero as well as Rivera not piling on and content to box smart, fair enough should be shut out. Great jab all night. Someone needs to remind him he's #2 for Gervonta Davis who now needs a new opponent for that ppv date in Dec or Jan.

Agree there strong fighter but needs a bigger chip on his shoulder when clearly in control. Boxing is literally wide open for the 'next' breakout name.

See some Julian Jackson with that hair too ;D

He then says his inexperience held him back a bit in the fight and then says he's ready for the title fights :S maybe we will see him v Davis soon, he's young enough to recover from a defeat, I hope he does well though, pretty fun to watch.

Crawford v porter soon and the co main event guys here are at 147 too, commentators sounded fairly encouraging about stuff happening after this, hopefully crawford and Ortiz are able to get to fight the gits from this promotion...


Dulorme does look pretty lively early on but of course he's been on a bad run recently... And he's down already, this might now last long... God bless them

You can't shake off the temple bombs. That was brutal ko1. Honestly wanted it to go some rounds here ffs :angryxo4:. Bigger and better things ahead someone come calling

Ah yes Ennis did whack him on the back of the head for the first knockdown(took a whack to the ear too) , unavoidable though, Dulorme ducked and got maybe some bad luck there, I suspect he was still suffering from that for the KO.

;D. Like seeing some back story on Shango James. Fighter genuinely represents and works his community and not just riding down the street with that shiny trinket out the window like most do.

Old Antonio DeMarco did touched him up though ;D

Russian afro Thunder is on the way to ring.... If he gets his rumble combo this is over.

Jamal James is looking confident in the way to the ring, and the Russian is acting like a stereotypical calm Russian.

Butaev really closed ground late 1st with own jab. Feel like matter of time before James forced to go inside brawl. Nice style clash really

Oh big range difference here, James looks like he's pretty good at controlling the distance here too, butaev seems a bit too calm and inactive, I think he could have fun with James's body(:S) if he wants...... Russian ends the round alright but I'm giving that to James. This fight could be interesting.

+1 cc to any fighter throwing uppercut combinations ;D Things are getting up close and personal in 3rd. Butaev felt it but closing up. Ref looking for work..

I think James jabs good though, I think he should stick with that, butaev doesn't seem to have a lot of urgency to chase him down when he does that... Big punches landed by both now... I think James is edging the damage thouhj(3rd round)

Butaev lands the over arcing Superman punch ffs ;D. This has gone wheels off already and both free swinging with hard shots. Butaev has him cornered

This is pretty fun, butaev is showing some urgency and going for it in the fourth, James is getting some good stuff in too though, good stuff from the Russian in the fourth, i suspect this might not last the distance.

This is a good fight, James landed a good uppercut, wait what was the deduction for?. James is really ducking down a lot I think he's not having fun... He's definitely is this despite a couple of good rounds by butaev.

Bloody ell the Russian is just jumping in with punches now and James isn't stopping them, I can see butaev burning out though, butaev deffo looks more comfortable at the mid point though.. Great fun!

His leaping has been working :S... What is James doing... To be fair he isnt folding, although butaev really landed some nice body punches in the seventh, although one looked low and considering they took a point already im surprised the ref let it go..


I really think James should be winning this easily, he really hasn't taken advantage of his range... It's probably very even on the cards though, James does land good stuff too.

Butaev is really getting some nice power on those body punches, he's missing upstairs though, James really doesn't look too well...
