Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
You know what's weird. Lots of people came out saying how Canelo is ducking 175 in his quest to beat a Bellew ko victim at cruiser...yet no one is talking about the top guys at 175 :-X. Self included. Literally not a peep. Dmitry Bivol made his 7th defense this week and won yet another 12 round paint by the numbers type performance. Tonight Beterbiev looks to get his mandatory 24-1 Marcus Browne dispatched of up in Canada eh and hopefully Top Rank steps on the gas with a big fight and actually promotes him. After the unification with Gvozdyk I had high hopes 175 would take off. Still waiting into 2022 now with Joe Smith Jr in the mix. Be good to see Beterbiev though, 26 or 36 the guy has a genuine mean streak and quality mix with the hands but shouldn't sleep on Browne here.

Doesn’t appear they intend to promote Beterbiev with this card they put together. They made an entertaining card for Loma. But not here.

Saw some quick chatter of he and Bivol possibly next year. Something has to give. For all we know Canelo pulls a u turn and comes calling, least if we believe Bob :-X

Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Would love it. They’ve been the top 2 for long enough. Decide it.
1-0 Browne
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
2-0 Browne
Artur needs to get to work on breaking this man. So far Browne has him sitting watching
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Browne with a decent 1st conscious of Beterbiev cutting him off. Brown going to corner to corner in 2nd more active nothing major. Beterbiev gonna start rolling them off soon more he willingly goes to corner.
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
First good hard right for Beterbiev on ropes...Browne is positioning himself for a really bad night down stretch he keeps retreating to them. Beterbiev 3rd
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Beterbiev finally doing some work. Close round.
2-1 Browne
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Browne knotted hair didn't help that both busted up and leaking off headbutt.
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Clash of heads, both cut, Beterbiev cut worse.
2-2 will probably be stopped soon
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Beterbiev needs to go James Toney v Little he's moving and hurting him. 4th Beterbiev. Would suck to see this end off cuts
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Think the doctor said 1 more round
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Browne doing this punching from the backseat stuff not exactly overly committing. Time to close the show me thinks Beterbiev 5th all over Browne.
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Was Browne’s round for 2:00+ but Beterbiev took it down the stretch and won it clearly
3-2 Beterbiev
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Man now that is nasty. Worse than Badou Jack crimson Canyon on his forehead?
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Weird seeing a guy move directly where opponent wants him constantly. If Beterbiev doesn't get the tko with punches he may just drown Browne here. This looks like a Saw movie. Beterbiev on strong in 6th.
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
4-2, wife was talking though so I didn’t pay close attention
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+

Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Oh brutal combination punching from Beterbiev. Browne down hurt and back up. Man I love his precise combo punching once it starts rolling
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Beterbiev tames it a bit in 8th round Browne having spots but don't see enough to take round. Beterbiev cannot calm knowing a TD is possible any moment. Get on it
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Browne too beat up. Stays down.
KO 9th rd
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Wow Browne takes full count in 9th. Body shot?
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+

Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Watched it late funish fight that got one sided after 5 or so but that cut was nasty...why the hell can't we have have beterbiev canelo that shit would be fuuuuuun
-
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
I would rather see Beterbiev vs Bivol than Beterbiev vs Canelo.
It’s the fight that matters at 175

Tony Bellew says ‘warning signs’ show Canelo Alvarez would knock out Artur Beterbiev
Tony Bellew has backed Saul “Canelo” Alvarez to knock out Artur Beterbiev if the boxing champions go head-to-head.
Canelo became the sport’s first undisputed super middleweight title holder in November, stopping Caleb Plant to claim the IBF belt that had eluded him.
The Mexican, who has held numerous titles across various weight classes, is set to make his cruiserweight debut against Ilunga Makabu next year. Some fans wish to see Canelo return to light heavyweight in the future, however, with undefeated Russian Beterbiev a potential opponent.
While some anticipate the possible bout with intrigue, former cruiserweight champion Bellew has said Beterbiev has shown enough signs of weakness to suggest that Canelo would finish the WBC and IBF light heavyweight title holder.
“I think Canelo would stop Beterbiev, I’ve seen the warning signs there already,” Bellew told DAZN. “I’ve seen the shots that he can be hurt with.”
Bellew highlighted Canelo’s previous outing at light heavyweight as evidence that the 31-year-old’s power would carry up to the weight class.
“It did against Sergey Kovalev,” the Briton said. “If it does with Kovalev then I think it will with Beterbiev.
“But as I said, it’s styles [that] make fights.”
Canelo fought Kovalev in November 2019, stopping Beterbiev’s fellow Russian in the 11th round to win the WBO light heavyweight title.
Beterbiev, 36, fought Marcus Browne on Saturday, knocking out the American in the ninth round.

Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
I'm with armin on this one. Get Canelo in the mix NOW. Enough of this "let's wait till they kill each other off" shit. Or for Beterbiev to run into Father Time.
FOR ONCE I'd like to see Canelo fight someone dangerous at or near their peak.

Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
artur took over after two & a half rounds, all while dealing with that bad cut. marcus is a dirty fighter & a quitter. canelo would knock out artur

Re: Artur Beterbiev v Marcus Browne Espn+
Beterbiev is a beast! Browne started fast and was a confident slick southpaw but Artur was slowly busting up Marcus as the fight progressed.
Beterbiev had a horrible head clash in the 4th round but dominated Browne and dropped him in the 7th with a left hook to the body and finished him with the same in the 9th.
Beterbiev would beat Bivol and Canelo. He is a bigger and fresher version of triple G. No wonder Canelo is avoiding him. :)
