Just tuned in (thanks TIC). ESPN is showing college wrestling... ESPND is showing soccer highlights. Both say Top Rank Boxing.
Let's hope they're both running a bit late.
Slim pickens for a Top Rank card. Decent prospect type card again but Keyshawn Davis had to drop out. Xander Zayas is making his way and hopefully gets some quality rounds. LaVallais not in that valley but can fight just a little bit.
Dazn has that scraped together Golden Boy card tonight too but again the main attraction in Vergil Ortiz Jr had to drop out. So Rocha v Blair Cobb it is ;D:-X
Ok we're good with ESPND. :)
Man Bob is scrimping on the production. Has the ring card girls working on tightening the ropes ;D
ESPN lagging way behind ESPND. :o
Bauza about to fight Tony Luis on ESPND and ESPN is still talking about the loose ring ropes.
Probably me lagging. Bauza keeps those feet wide. Ref giving both a lecture
Yeah... they're caught up now. ESPN jumped right in. ;D
Luis not doing bad walking to him but is a full step behind in speed. Bauza loves those corners eh. Great turn out at MSG by the looks of it.
Bauza looks a bit scattered. Like he's thinking way too much. Again straight to a corner and stiff Luis able to rip off decent work in 4th and early 5th
Bauza looked a little more ragged in that last round.
Better 6th Bauza much better sticking and sliding off. Countering now end round
Really needs to be a 10 rounder. Bauza all about the pop and move move late. Tim is making a case for Luis but there's a snowballs chance in Hades that judges go that route :-X. New York crowd with the boooos. Of course ;D
Scattered boos toward the end of the fight. Tough decision. Bauza started fast... but Luis finished strong.
Lousy scoring. You could see Luis's face when the first card was read. 8-0. That was cold, man.
I thought it could've gone either way.
80-72....:alcoholic: That was atrocious
Zayas looked sharp in Round 1.
Way Zayas steps over and then into the upper hook is really nice. And glad he ditched the cornrows
Round 2 was assault and battery.
Lavallais was strafed along those ropes! Honestly a lot of refs wave that but Lavallais back to center ring at rounds end.
Round 3 was comparatively milder... but Lavallaise isn't doing too much in there.
This is one way traffic physically but nice to see Zayas shifting for different tools. On-off tempo after dude took the kitchen sink. Zayas knows his ring real estate.
Lavallais trying to Hank Lundy it in that corner
Not pretty 5th but Zayas needing to work out a puzzle almost bluffing his way now.
Oh brutal sweeping hooks and Lavallais trying to roll with them. It all catches up, mash the gas
Lavallais took another mauling from Xander in that last round.
Giving him life a bit mid 7th backing off after two Docs checked Lavallais. Interesting. Full control and working on those gears
I have it 81-71 ;D
J/K... but this is where an 80-72 x 3 seems unavoidable.
That was a pretty fun fight and oddly competitive last round ;D. These are the fights young guys need learned a lot.
Damn... I could do without the entrance "music" for Berlanga. I must be gettin' old.
blair no flair just got a reality check
can steve keep this up? i doubt it
Rolls jumping all over the ring like he's been tased. Berlanga cut?
edgar not impressing
So glad the knockout streak is long over. Berlanga continues to need more rounds.
Rolls won Round 7 by a mile.
edgar is severely lacking in skills
