If Hatton can pound away at his body with success and slow him down fairly early then he IMO beats him 8)
Looked good in fits and spurts but was'nt overly impressed to be honest.
He done enough really.
Hatton Beats him for me. 8)

yo smash mate, have you got the link to the Zab-PBF fight? :)
Just thought i'd also what Hatton's chances are
Watched it too & I don't reckon Floyd could keep Ricky off him.
Hatton would be willing to take Floyds shots to get inside & outwork him in most rounds.
Does anyone have the link so I can check it out. ThanksQuote:

Since I haven't seen the fight yet, what did Mayweather say in his post fight interview. Did he say who he wants next or not at all.
I disagree. This fight in no way showed what hatton could do. Why? Cause he fought a fast technical southpaw. Southpaws are known worldwide for giving orthodox problems. Thats why floyd didn't look as good as usual but he still looked good none the less. Floyd fights way better against orthodox fighters. A fighter like hatton who is a righty with his wild lunging shots and suspect defense will get tagged flush on the face a lot. I don't care how tough you think he is that takes an effect on a fighter. Will he hit floyd? Yes but I think he will take alot of leather in the process. Unless he hurts floyd with a good body shot I just can't see him winning. It would be a good fight. i think he has a better chance than margaritoQuote:

Only difference I can see is that Hatton's easier to hit than Zab and won't go missing for half the fight.
Don't get me wrong I still think Hatton has a good chance but I'm less convinced than I was.
i agree. i think hatton fights more like chico than zab. and we know what happened to chico. i'm not saying floyd would take out hatton that easy--hatton's definitely better and more determined than chico--but mrmanick's right: hatton's style is pretty undisciplined, and he'll get hit A LOT. floyd by 10th round stoppage.Quote:

I know that it is hard to make comparisons, with the fact Judah is a slick southpaw, but i think Floyd is going to find it hard to keep the bigger man in my opinion in terms of physical stength, Hatton has a great chance of beating Floyd and i see it as a definate 50/50 fight.
But with the scorecards of saturday night im not to sure Ricky will get many favours.
Previously i had it 65/35 in Mayweather's favour, but like i say it's hard to make comparisons because of the different styles of Judah and Hatton, but after seeing Floyd operate at 147, i think he could have problems keeping Hatton off him for 12 rnds.
i feel the same wayQuote:

I think Hatton does beat Mayweather, but both are superb World Class fighters, so it will be a Titanic battle, that Hatton will only edge if he is in immaculate condition, which I think he will; Hatton 114-113 on ten point must. ;)
You might be right, I don't think Floyd has the fire-power to keep Hatton off of him, Floyd could hurt Hatton if he could hit him enough over the course of a long fight, but with Hatton jumping on him at the bell and throwing the high volume of punches that he does, its gonna take a huge effort by Floyd to win, unless Floyd goes into survival mode, Floyd might get stopped. Tzsyu could n't take pressure or Hatton's pace. And I'm not big on european fighters, but Hatton is the real thing.Quote:

Can't agree more on the power issue, there is no chance PBF can hurt Ricky with one punch, but look at what the volume of punches did to Gatti. Also Ricky can cut up which I feel will be a factor in the fight.Quote:

Bottom line is I think we both agree this should be a good, close competative fight.
judah stopped pressing cuz he thought his punches would be blocked, and PBF would counter, he was scared of what mistakes he might make, not what PBF had already done to him ;)
So you agree it was because of what was coming back... ;)Quote:

If you'd bothered to read my post fully, you'd see that i noted that hatton's better and more determined than chico, and wouldn't by any means get taken out so easily. the main point, which you somehow missed, is that hatton fights more in the style of chico (undisciplined slugger) than the style of zab (slick, technical boxer). You can say that this is irrelevant to the outcome of a possible floyd/hatton fight, but you can't possibly dispute its truth--hatton is not a technical boxer; zab is. (for that reason it's also ridiculous to draw too many conclusions from this completely different stylistic fight as to what might happen in floyd/hatton.)Quote:

Believe it or not...I wouldn't have had a huge problem if Judah won...I take that back...I would have puked...but had it been fair...I woulda applauded Judah...hell I was applauding him...but milk has been spilt...& there is no use in crying over it...
Unless ofcourse you are Don King, Judah, or a Judah fan. ;D
Have to agree Smash ;)
I was thinking what would happen if it was Hatton in there... but you also have to take into account that Ricky would get hit alot more than Zab did but i still see him working Floyd over bigtime to the body. :)
Come on people, Hatton would be a challenge but Floyd would not fight Ricky like he did against Judah. I would give Ricky a huge chance but for one thing, and even the most ardent Hatton fan would have to agree with me: Floyd may not have pop at 147 bu Ricky is going to get hit alot and well, Hatton would be cut. I think PBF would actually win on cuts. Ricky just cuts too easily, see against Maussa?! PBF will hit him 10 times more and harder than Mausaa plus all the heads coming together and elbows etc.
I know what your saying The Game, but Hatton doesn't stop, there was times in the Judah fight where Judah was just to scared to get hit, Hatton will fly at him, i have wathched the fight three times now, and i am thinking Hatton will not stop, he will take punches but that won't bother Hatton one bit, he will be on him from the word go.
This will be a great spectacle mark my words whoever doesn't want to see this fight is just plain stupid, because everyone knows Hatton has no respect for anyone when he gets in that ring, i.e KT, people were saying prior to that fight KT will stop him coming forward, no chance. The slick boxer v the pressure fighter and for me not only a pressure fighter a unique pressure fighter who can go for three minutes.
Floyd will never had taken so many shots as he will from Hatton, i cant wait.
What do you reckon the odds would be if this fight was say in a few months??
floyd 5:1. i'm not saying it's fair, but i don't think the money's going to be on hatton for this fight.Quote:

Floyd Mayweather follows through with his punches against slower punchers so that they can't respond to anything he throws because he's out of there before they know he hit them.Quote:

As much as I want to see Hatton and Floyd,it would be a great fight,Margarito deserves his shot more than Hatton and he has a date too sooooo :P He a rugged, badass veteran and he is ready. Enough of these calls for a Zab shot, he had his chance and Hatton needs to prove himself at 147,something Tony has done for 10 years.
can Hatton beat Mayweather? He certainly stands a chance. Mayweather has been hurting his hands more and more and this could be his down fall.
However, no way a right-handed fighter gives Mayweather as much of a challenge as a fast south paw. Hatton will be right there for Mayweather to hit all day.
So who wins.....I dunno...I always bet on the boxer....I win 97.8567% of the time
ask Saddo maybe he knows
Mayweather wins. All this shat about Mayweathers power not at 147. Hatton hasn't fought at 147 at all. Is his stamina going to be the same? What about Hatton's power? Instead of degrading Floyd, I'd be asking how Ricky is going to handle the weight.
Floyd won't be as hesitant against Hatton because Hatton isn't as fast as Zab. And Floyd won't tire after 9 rounds like Tszyu, because Floyd has better "D", better legs, and is younger. Ricky will pressure him, and do his best. But I see him becoming discouraged, just like the rest. Especially when he eats alot of punches. And for all the people that don't think Floyd can hurt or drop Hatton, Aamon McGee did. And Aamon McGee is not even close to Floyd.
Saddo picked Judah... :LOS:Quote:

at 140 yes, Hatton can beat PBF. at 147 no, PBF beats Hatton.Quote:

??? floyd's got more to lose (speed) going up than hatton does, and hatton's naturally bigger. i'd think it would be the opposite--though personally i don't see hatton having much of a chance at either weight.Quote:
