Alycia Baumgardner vs Mikaela Mayer- Shields vs Marshall Espn+

Call me nuts or just desperate for "big" fights ;D. I'm all in on this card tomorrow from the UK and glad the reschedule went problem free. Not concerned about all the trinkets and belts exchanging, the Baumgardner- Mayer fight has heated up nicely.

No man. This is a good build up to a fight. This is probably the hottest thing to hit women's boxing since Laila Ali v Christy Martin. I am going to tune in. Support our women!

Like Baumgardner 1st based on not much more than 4 right hands and jabbing to body. Meyer did well to get jab going. 2 minute rounds :p

Strong 2nd Baumgardner who has both hands mixing and walked her into nice 3-4 punch combo. Decent right Mayer at end but she's not exactly engaged fully as of yet. Best weapon the long jab

Gave Mayer 3rd. Longer work more accurate. Nothing hurtful but busier and Baumgardner trying to set up big combo a bit much.

Mayer sitting on her jab. Is Baumgardner even wearing trunks under that :-X

Nice hard exchange end of 4th. Mayer opening up more and asserting the walk back. Baumgardner is going to have to set her feet, waiting to be perfect punching too much. Even up

Mayer 5th working very well behind the jab and sitting on right hand. Baumgardner advertising the power righthand but not committing to it. It's amazing what a difference 1 minute makes. Ref steps in and easily eats up 12-15 of a round

That was a tough round, slight slight edge to Baumgardner in 6th sitting inside for a few uppers and nice short combo end of round had Mayer backing.

Baumgardner simply needs to go in. You're not sitting outside and boxing her. Strong opening 7th Baumgardner and Mayer now cut. Huge right catches Mayer after Baumgardner slips 3. Baumgardner back in front for me taking 7th.

Man your girls in there wearing a thong ffs. Really man

Like Baumgardner 8th, ripped off nice 4-5 combo backing Mayer across the ring. Really sitting down now and Mayer trying to right the ship.

Left eye of Baumgardner swell.

Just started watching now in round 9 and the commentators have Mayer winning.

Nice subtle bounce back 9th for Mayer behind jab and direction switch up. I guarantee either corner and fighter yells robbery after this. Final round

Edge to Mayer in 10th nice exchange to finish out round they both fought well. Think I have 95-95?!

Mayer much more accurate for me think she took Baumgardeners advantages away by being disciplined and picking her off.

Not a robbery but personally think it was 3 rounds margin for Mayer.

Closest round I had was 6th I believe, flip it and nod goes to Mayer. Odd really, Mayer more versatile with her hands and fundamental boxing. And Baumgardner good on the backfoot and can sit inside strong. They reeeeeally need to be 3 minute rounds but in comes the biological debate and skull density etc etc. Baumgardner says no rematch but she will

Basically a full 3 minutes make it easier to possibly judge a round per minute ;D

Yes it comes down to what you like a bit and harder to score clear margins but the two minutes is fine I think. Equal respect just not the same as fellas.

Main should be good just don't want to score it ;D. Does Marshall have a significant follow in the UK? Seems like it's been rather muted.

Shields wins the first round with an incredible flurry of punches mid round.

Does Marshall always keep her left hand low to thigh like that. Her jab is just a flick and knows how to use that left shoulder/elbow chicken wing. She sort of reminds me style wise of a Fury ???.

Shields wins round 2 with faster hands and combinations. She is smaller than Marshall.

Marshall getting clipped way to clean. Leans her head over and bores right in.

Shields faster hands and better combinations winning the fight for me.

Shields is a quality boxer and very aggressive when she lets her hands go. Can she keep it up?

4 nil

Shields just can not miss Marshall and has caused some damage to her face.
