Admittingly this fight is just adding more padding at this stage of Munguia's career. He's 26 and 40-0 fighting a man in Coria 21-5 who Janibek wiped out in just his 8th fight as a pro. Clearly Munguia and camp are all about waiting on Golovkin. The protect that "0" at all cost route which is a shame. Though Munguia has shown signs of improvement it's hard to gauge completely. Looking forward to Argi Cortes in the co-main fresh off given Juan Estrada as much as he wanted in Sept.

the main event looks to be a total mis-match but there are several guys on the undercard worth checking out. argi cortes is back after his fight of the year contender againdt el gallo estrada in september. azabache nunez is also on the card & another four or so unbeaten prospects who i'd like to see a bit more of including victor morales
Serving up some GBP cannon fodder special in this one. Diego Nunez has gone 2-1 since a 5-year layoff and jumping up two divisions :-X. Diego Torres 15-0 has a look. Wouldn't go to the fridge in this one.
It is surreal hearing Jimmy Lennon Jr and Michael Buffer used in same card promos tonight. They were the symbol of the two major networks on the block not too long ago, HBO and Showtime. Guess that's the benefit of selling a trademark ;D

Nunez Osario tried to be scrappy early, but Torres detonated him badly in 4th. Kid could have been really damaged in there.

Digging into the record of Munguia is really like flipping thru the kid's menu at Olive Garden. Big hopes that after this they unpack those big boy pants. He's capable, stop stifling his actual learning curve with nonexistent stiffer (not toe tag stiff) competition.

That short Lopez is trying to get under everything and loading up loopers. Argi Cortes with that rapid 1-2 and darting in and out. Speed levels wide. Strange seeing a Spr. Fly with love handles.

Maybe I'm guilty of holding the style of Lopez against him ;D but it's just hoping to land the lottery here. Gets in time to time with jarring stuff but no follow up or reset. Cortes focusing on body a bit more in 5th close round edge Cortes. Cortes gets dropped in 6th :-X midway ohh looked clean
