no, they were both 8oz, they were just FAR bigger, which made blocking punches easier ;)

so u agree
yes ;)
He could of stopped him in the fourth if he hadn't gone nuts when he rocked Floyd and hadn't started lunging at his gloves when his ribs where wide open.
Another way to look at it... perhaps those puffy gloves saved Judah seeing as how he took about 100 punches more than Floyd, and his chin has been suspect in the past. Maybe those gloves allowed Judah to finish the fight a little lumpy, rather than dancing about the ring with his wobbly legs.Quote:

Just acknowledge that Judah was outdone... and hope for a rematch. Since you feel Judah is better, Judah will clearly dominate Floyd in the rematch.
Judah came with a game plan, Floyd figured it out and retaliated, Judah could not answer, he retreated into survival mode, and then into desperation mode with a punch to the balls. A champion makes adjustments. Things don't go the champs way from the openning bell everytime. But by the end of the fight, the champ has adjusted and taken control of the fight, and as a result secured the win.
I doubt they had more padding on the Knuckles, no one would wear them... Winnings or who ever they are make gloves to sell... ;).
Zab does the Chicken dance when he's caught cold... every clean punch Floyd hit him with that could of rocked him, he saw coming but failed to defend... hence no chicken dance.
Floyd's not a big puncher either.
I'm not saying Judah wasn't out done... he had the fight and let it slip... I'm not a fan of either fighter
Another thing... with Mayweather's 'massive' gloves, Zab had more to block... yet he failed to do that.
This debate is futile. I'll bet you not even Zab would blame the loss on Mayweather's gloves.
If anything, the winnings gloves had less padding around the knuckles. Think about it. They are twice as big as Judah's gloves, yet way the same. So all that weight and padding has to spread out along a much larger surface, thus making them actually lighter around the fist, and possibly packing more of a punch. One thing is for sure, they certainly aided in Floyd's defense.Quote:

Your stupid if they had the same gloves Mayweather would have broken his hand ko'ing Judah.Quote:

That's what you said.Quote:

Floyd did have huge air balloons. It did help him. Not saying he would have lost, but it did help him.
Even HBO had to explain that Floyd's air bags were OK to use.
Anybody who says boxing gloves don't matter... better do their research.
But that's the gloves they decided on, and Judah lost.
Fair statement, but Zab was landing until Floyd made adjustments, and even after that, most of the punches Zab missed with were weaved, not blocked. So really, how did they help? Maybe by cushioning his hands, but like you said, Zab agreed. Same gloves or different, the outcome would have been the same. It's not like those gloves got bigger.Quote:

To the point where they only allowed their fighters to use Reyes gloves.

And see, Erik Morales found out the hard way, to become a Klingon. ;)

So, it was the gloves, not the adjustments, or Floyd's higher boxing IQ, or the brutal body beating he was giving Zab, or even the fact that Zab was discouraged after he saw Floyd could take any of his punches. Is that what you're saying? I don't think it is, but you're starting to sound like Sal. ;DQuote:

Thats one of the most complete explainations of that fight, I've heard yet, by the way.
So in all fairness, shouldn't Zab have torn up Floyd's face with the smaller gloves?
What if Floyd wore smaller gloves and still landed the shots he did?
Couldn't he possibly have knocked Zab out in return?
Coulda, shoulda, woulda.
One could make any excuse to justify a fighter's loss.
But at the end of the day the better fighter won.
Even Zab ackowledged that.
Zab credited Floyd's superior defense work after the fight. Didn't say anything about the gloves.
And besides, white gloves look even bigger than they actually are.
Film yourself with a camcorder wearing a white sweater, then film yourself wearing a black sweater.
The white sweater looks huge!
and of corse they didnt say it that way,Quote:

Massive inflatable gloves + 2 piss heads + a bouncy castle = shitloads of fun ;D
