Jared Anderson vs Charles Martin ESPN

Talk about cutting it close. This happens tonight with Martin coming in on late notice for Zhan Kossobutskiy who had visa problems. Loving Andersons progression as the dormant division needs a massive shot in the arm. Off the top of my head I'm good with Martin as a sub. Biggest "name" on early record of Jared and was last seen last year in a KD filled war with Luis Ortiz where he lost by bizarre tko in the 6th round. Martin can be very inconsistent but hoping Anderson gets some round and has his chin tested a bit for future reference. One thing Martin can do is thump.

Big bruiser Arslanbek Makhmudov in co main taking on some 6'8 fella in what should be a showcase. Streaking lightweight Abdullah Mason on the card as well as Delante Johnson and Jahi Tucker.

early night for both jared & arslanbek. i think i read that bakhodir jalolov had signed with top rank. zhan would have been a much tougher test for jared but it's a decent replacement. abdullah mason is one to keep an eye on

Anyway, interested to see how well this big baby holds up cardio wise, it's not easy for these big lads to fight and move the way he does, the other big baby could hold up in the cardio discipline via chemical methods, hopefully this baby isn't doing that and can make it work

I just don't know. Putting a deadline of 3 years on career, love Anderson potential but that sits odd imo. It's like a fighter saying he's looking to retire going into each fight. We have heavyweights ranked top 1,2,3 today who have but a single win in three years :-X. Do like the dog though. That's a big bwoy.

Might be quick work for Mason. De Oliveira looks like he just rolled out of bed on a Sunday afternoon.

They'd do well to leave a few of these 'making sausage' matches as under undercards. We've seen overexposure and push go badly more than a few times. And now Tim is dropping Mayweather comparisons :p

Charles Martin is better than he showed v Joshua but even without the late notice you'd be backing Anderson to win this. I wouldn't mind martin winning though, I think the Joshua fight humiliated him more than he deserved.

They really like calling his dog the "100 lb"... It's not even that huge for a dog...but of an odd obsession I do like flags but the weight of the dog just seems like a weird macho obsession.

Jared down the middle needs to tighten up. Good 1st though.

Good stuff all round he, martin hadn't folded and is here to give a contest, Anderson is working well and landing the best stuff but martinis fighting well.

This is a great match up for Anderson even if it goes the distance, if he's got it then he's learning a lot here, Martin is no plum and fights Back, no need to he too harsh on Anderson for this fight.

Oooffft lovely straight from martin that hurt Anderson in the fifth, great stuff..this is the proving ground, come on Anderson!

Great fifth, Martin showed who he is and landed a couple of monsters and Anderson who was obviously hurt survives it, great training for him.

Well that's what an acid test looks like! Jared battered and really held up well. But Jared down the middle not so hot

Anderson comes back well in the sixth, he's still taking a few but it's a good recovery, good work Charles, I do like that guy.

Fun fight man. Jared will take criticism by simply being rattled by a 250 lb trained professional, how dare he, but this is what we need more of from guys anointed as the "next". Good action

This is a good fight, Martin was overwhelmed v Joshua but he's never been a plum, he's a good talent and both these guys have come to fight... Anderson is the better guy and landing more but he's up against a big git who knows what he's doing and he took a whack in his quest for dominance and he survived and fought back.. I think this is a great look for Anderson he's going later in the fight than he's ever gone before, he survived a crack to the noggin and he came back fighting. Great stuff, this is a good fight.

Jared is leaky on the D gonna need to clean up that standing on his toes at the end of delivery. Walking onto some straight-line counters here in 8th from Martin.

Jared solid return in 9th walking him down and Martin not getting off now. Almost wish this was 12 ;D
