Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Pretty good triple header on Showtime this Saturday. Future HOF'er and all around great Nonito Donaire 42-7 climbs right back in now at 41 years old vying for the 118 wbc title vs respectable 27-3-5 Alejandro Santiago. Donaire's last fight ended via destruction at the hands of Naoya Inoue and left huge questions about his future. Opting hot to hang them up and instead fighting on, he'll need all he has to get over Santiago. Young or old Donaire always makes for excitement.
Frank Martin continues his climb at 135 and is simply one of the hottest young talents going right now. He'll fight 12-0 Artem Harutyunyan out of Germany
Elvis Rodriquez takes a decent step with been there and done that former 140 champ Viktor Postol 31-4. Long lay off for Postol of a year and a half though last two defeats were hardly blow outs. Stoppage to Russell was pretty iffy.

Re: Nonito Donaire vs Alexandro Santiago & Martin vs Harutyunyan July 15th
I'm looking forward to all 3 fights
Santiago could be a banana skin for Donaire
I'm picking Postol to pull the upset
Martin is one of my current favourites
His class will shine through again in this fight

Have a feeling you may be right on Santiago. Martin is definitely 'must see tv'. Great poise and ring awareness and any top contender logging 3 fights within 12 months today should be an example followed. Martin is going to be something special!

Re: Nonito Donaire vs Alexandro Santiago & Martin vs Harutyunyan July 15th
the nonito fight has been moved to the errol v terence undercard. it's a bigger tage for the fight but removes the biggest fight of this weekend
-
Re: Nonito Donaire vs Alexandro Santiago & Martin vs Harutyunyan July 15th
Yeh just saw they switched it up. Little crappy on short notice but hopefully the 2 week delay won't affect either guy. Nonito is one of the last men standing of another era, ppv slot to a super-fight does him justice. Rodriquez v Postol may be the sleeper of the night.

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Good all access ep. First time I've heard Spence mention he thought he lost his teeth with Ugas and odd reaction. Actually makes some sense.
Is Artem being slept on a little bit here? Didn't realize his amateur background. Freudis Rojas Jr vs Diego Sanchez at 147 up first. This might possibly be a brief one.

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Good pressure work by Sanchez but Rojas fighting lean and long. Placing shots nicely over 2.
Leo Santa Cruz ringside. Talk about a guy who just vanished.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Southpaw Rojas snaking in a nice left upper hook with regularity. Sanchez driving hard but turning into a catchers mitt and a step behind.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
All Rojas over 4. Solid footwork from him too. Fluid.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Sanchez needs him to stand stock still. Gets in a couple short straight right hands but repeatedly paying a price chugging forward. Nice slicing combo from Rojas last minute. Sanchez again with a short right but no impact. 6-zip Rojas
Corner of Sanchez threating to stop it.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Corner stops it into first minute of 7th. Tough enough guy but it was only getting deeper and worse being tagged clean all night. Rojas pretty poised and all business.

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Postol v Rodriquez. Being honest, WAR Postol ;D. You cannot erase years though. Should be good.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Postol looking real lean here and Rodriquez looks loose and charged up.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Postol 1st. keeping long rapid jab and measuring well. Little stiff on feet but Rodriquez just watched.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Rodriquez coming in with counters now. Both guys are pretty straight line. Speed of Rodriquez end of 2nd. Clips Postol with right.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Good evening guys. Just tuning in.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Freddie Roach still going. Postol ups activity in 3rd. That stabbing jab and right. But he's hopping into decent counters here. Rodriquez comes around Postol well now. Watching the pins of Postol close. 2-1 Postol

Cheers bud. And nice pick ;D

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Elvis' power seems to easily bother Postol. Victor's gonna have to land some good shots of his own to slow Elvis down a bit.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Even up tougher round to pick 4th. Lead right mucking up eye of Postol early 5th. Her's coming forward now sitting down on leads. Postol getting in but little effect. Looked like Rodriquez just lost respect for punches of Postol end of that 5th round. 3-2 Rodriquez
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Rodriquez stood him up off of a right hand middle of 6th. Postol looked buzzed, went down but ruled slip. He's coming on hard here

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Postol down off a brutal right and beats count. Wearing collective damage here. Feels like this fight switched up in an instant. Hard road into 7th..they gotta call this. Good call by ref waving it off.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Ouch that was a harsh hook
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Nice scalp for Rodriquez. Like to see a guy press into what's working and closing the show. Postol steady as always but have to think this may be the finale to a solid career. Feels like there is some driftwood at 140 now. Like to see Rodriquez take big steps off of this win.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Some guys enter a ring to hip hop and raggedy rap...Artem enters to the theme from Dallas and random showtunes :-X. Seriously what was that.
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
close first. gave it to frank
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Huh. Like the busy two handed pressure by Artem. Looks like he has some size too. Martin giving some ground but just to settle in.

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Very crisp left hook from Martin in final minute. Landed around neck. Artem marching in looking to body and sponged it. Martin setting some big traps but playing into the ropes. Have 2-0 Artem close 2nd

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Wish they wouldn't keep real time punch stats presented as facts either way. It's not math class. Have 3-0 Artem and bit surprised. Martin sitting down a bit now and needs to. No idea the gas tank on Artem
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
gave frank the fourth, he started to land some nice counters & is moving well now
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Oh not a good look. Martin completely shells up and scoots off to side. Martin trying to crack this new puzzle and it shows. Close 4th. Basically pick your style. Have to go 4-0 Artem. This is going to turn physical

Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
I see some Gary Russell here in Martin. Some over posturing but also crisp. But just too selective for most part. Nice close to 5th though. 5-1 Artem
-
Re: Frank Martin vs Artem Harutyunyan-Rodriquez v Postol June 15th
Nice explosion from Martin. Clips Artem and sends him reeling mid 6th. Time to eat! Artem punching off the lead foot and blowing in the wind. Huge 6th for Martin.
