A week is a long time
A streak of thyme
A weak pantomime
Miles should be quite fine
Not in a caldera
Not in Canberra
Non troppo tarde nella sera
But with Primo Carnera

Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
De Los Santos is a live dog. Shakur doing himself no favors promoting this by spending his time talking up mma circus opponents. Champ Navarette in co main coming up, really hope it leads to a future match up! Doesn't look like they have mentioned much on undercard.
Holding this on Thursday is a little odd. Making way for college games weekend.

i agree that edwin is a live dog but i think robson conceicao has the better shot of pulling off the upset

Yeh it's a pretty solid fight. Wouldn't be the first time I picked against Conceicao just to eat it. But I think the Navarette momentum is near peak right now and Conceicao will be hard pressed to keep his volume neutralized as the rounds collect.

Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Abdullah Mason first up. Out of the box let's hope this card wraps before midnight with 6-7 am coming quick :-X.
This Cardenas fella had a win overturned last year not sure why. Well not going to matter, down already in 1st.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Very sharp up jabs and a rifled straight left behind them puts Cardenas flat on his back. Ref waves it in 2nd. One to watch, long way to go.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Tim Bradley out early with the over-the-top accolades and youngest world champ talk :action:. Guys, guys. I get it. But sheesh. Let these prospects breathe.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Highlight of this heavyweight fight between Jackson Murray and Steve Torres is Torres trying to kiss Murray on the cheek. Reminds me of Nardiello ? doing that to Benn. Hopefully we see the same result.

Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Some of these espn cards are beginning to remind me of those old school overdecorated Christmas trees. You know the ones. Tons of shiny tinsel and too many strings of lights but their colorful. Then you have those signature ornaments that just get buried ;D. Or in this case don't wing walk until likely 11 pm to Midnight.
Troy Isley got all he wanted and I had him a one point winner in tough tough fight with Hernandez. Work to be done with Isley if this was 10 he may have been in more trouble. Brian Norman Jr is currently putting the crowd to sleep over ten rounds vs Quinton Randall. Hopefully Pitt and Boston do not tie so network card starts on time.

Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Ok straight to Navarette vs Conceicao. Save for a few commercials.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Navarette per usual looking a little spongy in the body. Letting Conceicao work a little too much in 1st and Conceicao in with a solid 1-2. Clean sharp round for him.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Very early. But Navarette needs to start mixing between Conceicao surges. Conceicao even gets in a couple wide right-left. Physicality and assumed volume of Navarette is mute, 2-0 Conceicao.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Navarette stepping up pressure in 3rd. Looked to get to Conceicao very end of 3rd round. 2-1 Conceicao.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Navarette getting to the body but Conceicao remaining sharp with the jab. Oh Down Conceicao goes under a rough combination. The strength has arrived and difference on punches here. Again with the uppercut and Conceicao rocked end of round.
2-2 even up
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Conceicao leaving himself in some very bad spots for wide counters. To float he'll have to stand with Navarette this early but he's getting desperate and scattered. Think Navarette is now convinced he can sponge what is coming back no worries.
3-2 Navarette
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Navarette getting in short clip shots with Conceicao on ropes. Conceicao still clipping Navarette, a couple of showy left hands late 6th. Really closer round, lean to Navarette 4-2
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Mini surge for Concei...nevermind. Down off a brutal body shot in corner! Up but he is throwing snowballs at a tank here and Navarette knows it. He goes out it'll be on his shield but Conceicao is getting rocked and rolled late 7th. Brutal good round for champ.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Both guys slip on massive ring logo ring center. How are they still having that problem. Remember when they would pour coke on it to make it "sticky" ;D. Slowed round 8th to Navarette. 6-2
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Conceicao having a solid hunt and peck 9th round here. Accurate but still gets moved and iffy when caught. Better round close. 6-3 Navarette
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Power playing difference for me in 10th. Navarette digging into body and Conceicao hurt again but a tough SOB here. Conceicao starting to 'bluff' his way in spots but he really has no option. 7-3
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Conceicao on lockey legs mid 11th hurt off a right wide hook. Get the feeling if Navarette kicks in the door he can end this. Still Conceicao getting in a few but zero effect. Conceicao wobbly in corner.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Ref better keep it close. He was bad bad wobbling back to corner!
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
More of the same from Navarette and tough nut Conceicao collecting a lot of damage needlessly here. He's there for it and has never stopped trying. One of those "pretty good but wide" scraps. Have it 116-110 (117-109) after KD's for Navarette.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Kreiegal with 114-112 ???. No.
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Judges 114-112 Navarette...113-113 x2 it's a draw ???
That was horrible. I LOVE a tough all balls fighter...but minus the KDs he would be champ. Nope I didn't see that at all. Judges overcompensated big here.

Respects, but that's insane. Man was visibly hurt numerous times dropped 2 times and surviving late. They tried to rob Navarette.

not how i saw it. emmanual wasn't winning many rounds early that he didn't score a knockdown in, he did come on late. robson won the fight for me with the twelfth. i thought troy isley should have got a draw instead of a win & brian norman should have lost. edwin needs a knockout to get a draw

Hurt clearly 3rd,10th and out on his feet nearly end of 11th. Man had to be basically led to corner :-\. Felt like they were giving points for a hard luck but likable tough case. Guess this is why we score them rbr ;D.
Shit, and a midnight main event it is. Pass the morning coffee.

it was close at the end for me, i agree robson was hurt at times & looked really bad ending the eleventh but he was doing much better work & was busier during the earlier rounds when he wasn't getting knocked down. he also came out & won the twelfth which gave him the win on my card. i'm glad that robson didn't get another loss on his record

Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
tim bradley is terrible on the mic, they should of got rid of him when they dropped andre
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
Like to see the temperament of Shakur match his rhetoric here. Could be very explosive early
-
Re: Shakur Stevenson v Edwin De Los Santos
i've got money on shakur scoring a knockdown
