It'll be same night as Haney v Prograis and second defense for Robeisy vs the #11 rated Espinoza 21-0. Don't know how accurate it is but Espinoza is listed as 6'1 as a featherweight :-X. Bruce Shu Shu Carrington has a decent little step up vs Jason Sanchez. Rohan Polanco and Delante Johnson also on the card.

Delante Johnson lets himself get hit a little bit too easy backing into corners. Maintains his cool and a step ahead though. Into the 5th v 15-1 Jimerr Espinosa.
Very nice 5th for Johnson, slicing clean right hand had Espinosa do a double step.
Pretty intense infighting by two fighters still figuring it out. Like Espinosa in 6th. Johnson has these spots where he clinches up and just sort of sits there. Blood from the nose now.
Oh Johnson hurt off a big right hand sitting on the ropes and he ties up!
Espinosa 7th. Wish I would have caught this one from the start. Johnson looking stiff.
Espinosa 8th head to body and physically moving Johnson. Not to cast a talent out prematurely but Johnson better buckle up as these levels increase. He has tons of work to do beginning with slipping repeat right hands.

He got complacent he got cute and he got caught with a silly punch. Awkward shot but served its purpose.
Hunter rocked in corner off left hook and hurt bad, falls ruled slip and ref waves it as Hunter reels. Not keen on the stoppage very end of round. Hunter loses his shit and pushes ref ? then bolts out of ring and arena. He's livid. Polanco tko 6th. That was a crazy ending.

Francisco Daniel Veron out of Argentina vs Jahi Tucker. It's an old unwritten rule to never dismiss rugged fighters from Argentina ;D. Always seem to either be pretty solid or pretty bad. Not much middle ground. Also reads like a natural middleweight.

Veron 1st looks fluid and strong. If a fighter is ranked in the top ten then this should be a 10 rounder but set for 8. Ballsy step for Tucker, and a little 'sink or swim' by Top Rank. Nice to see.
i've given the first two rounds to francisco. jahi needs to be careful he doesn't lose a point for punching after the ref calls stop
Pretty solid 2nd Tucker. Has the stick working overtime and coming underneath with right uppercuts. Varon needs to take a look around and realize he's not back home.

Tight inside exchanges in 3rd both going to head and clean. Think Veron pulled round out closing moments. Both fighters here not shy about sharing the leather.
Good distinction from Timmay with pushy punches or snappy punches.

Exchange caught up with Tucker Veron buzzed him. He's looking labored. 3-1 Veron. Good contested scrap here.

Dang! Veron snaps him with sweeping left hook in corner. Good shots via right hand for Tucker but he doesn't have weight behind his punches and cannot deter Veron. Very close edge to Tucker. 3-2 Veron
This should definitely be 10 rounds.

Veron 7th but does not look good along ropes. Much of it comes to body language and Tucker gets hit way to 'clean'. Getting wide left hook in occasionally but Veron active and controlling ring. Think Tucker needs a KO here 5-2 Veron

Sharp shots from Tucker in final round but clinches at every opportunity. 8th to Tucker in an entertaining fight but end with 77-75 Veron. He won this one.
