Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Joe Joyce will face British heavyweight rival Derek Chisora on 27 July in London.
Joyce, 38, is in the midst of a rebuild after successive defeats to Zhilei Zhang last year while Chisora has not fought since August 2023.
Chisora, who made his pro debut in 2007, has 47 fights compared to Joyce's 18, with 13 losses.
The 40-year-old veteran of the sport says he intends to have three more fights before retirement.
"Joe is not going to win," Chisora said at a news conference.
"He can train as much as he wants, but when it comes to the real grind of it, I'm more vicious than him.
"I fear no man. There's no feeling each other out in the first round - I'm going in."
Despite only being two years younger than Chisora, Olympic silver medallist Joyce turned professional late after a lengthy amateur career.
Joyce stormed through the rankings, securing a position as the WBO's mandatory challenger before succumbing to shock defeats by China's Zhang.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Hearn should be ashamed of himself still propping a near slurring Chisora out there for more punches at this point. Chisora is playing with permanent damage.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
That is Frank Warren promoting it in the middle of them. They are all the same these promoters.

Yeh true. They're all equally vultures. Half the time Chisora doesn't sound right to begin with.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
This is on this week and very little interest in this bout.
I think Joyce stops Chisora and retires him for good.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Derek Chisora has announced that this Saturday's heavyweight collision with Joe Joyce at their local London O2 will be his last fight.
The man who calls himself War insists he will call it a career win, lose or draw against the former silver Olympian
The 40-year-old Chisora insists: 'This will be my farewell dance party. The saddest day of my whole career.'
He added: 'We were supposed to fight years ago but it never happened. Now I can go out on what I expect to be an unbelievable great fight in the O2 which I love.'
There was no hint of the aggro which had surfaced when Chisora head butted a provocative Deliveroo motor-biker in a street earlier this week.
Although the police took no action over that spat Joyce chose to remind him by saying: 'Pick on someone your own size.'
Chisora chuckled at the prospect of punching someone bigger than himself this weekend.
There was not even the faintest hint of War drums beating when they went eyeball to eyeball for the ritual stare-down photographs.
But Chisora did make it clear that he will be seeking to bow out with 'a 5th round knock out victory' rather than a defeat.

Hope Joyce does not end up like David Price.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
At least it’ll be a fan friendly fight , can’t see either of these guys standing off.
Having said that I reckon it’ll go the distance.
Chisora will stand with his head in Joyce’s chest, bite on his gum shield and throw hooks to head and body.
But Joyce will win on points.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
I can see Joyce stop Chisora in a brutal fashion.
It is good Chisora will retire after this fight he has been at the top of the domestic scene for many years remembering him destroy Danny Williams way back. He has made plenty of money and hope he invested it wisely so he does not have to make a comeback.

Last minute deals by ESPN + means no time to promote it.
McCann v Baluta finishing up and a good contest.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Moses Itauma.
19 years old.
Boxrec tells me he's been winning fights since the age of 12. 8 Ko's in 10 fights since turning pro in 2023. No where near his prime yet and hes dismantling seasoned veterans of the game.
Got to admit. I'm impressed.

Sharp and Garner lol at the lack of the jab. Fun fight though.
Haymaker heaven.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Can't go wrong with the Eagles. Did not realize Chisora had a plan in stone to exit. Good to hear. They say Zimbabwe next?
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Just hope Chisora doesn't get hurt in this. The punishment that man has endured in previous fights would finish most men.
Hope the ref steps in early if he needs to.
If he took a dive i would forgive him.

Joyce leaning over Chisora and catching him coming in the first round.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Joyce leading with his chin and not moving in the 2nd round.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Like watching two grizzlies swap paws underwater. At least Chisora using momentum off the ropes, may be only hope.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Old round 3 for Joyce created the space to beat Chisora up.

Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
The Chisora vs Takam would finish joe here. but I'm not sure the older man has enough in the tank for this.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Joyce swinging and landing in round 4 but looks tire, bruised and battered. He will not last.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Chisora lands big punches but having no impact on Joyce. Chisora is shattered.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Chisora got himself that round. Head movement and Joyce have and will never occupy the same room. Eating right hands like snacks
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Joe Joyce is like that Undisputed/Fight night character you made and left out speed training for 10 fights.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
It is all Joyce for me but Frampton has Chisora ahead which is insane.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Chisora is landing but no affect on Joyce. The judges may give him the round but Joyce work is better in round 7.

-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Chisora has nothing left and Joyce on the verge of stopping Chisora in round 8.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Chisora took a battering last round. Huge heart can't tuck your kids in at night, he's a completely spent shell this round.

-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Insane fight but Joyce knocked down buy Chisora is just about standing up in round 9.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Chisora survives but no way he should get the decision it should be Joyce winner.
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Regardless of the result . Chisora is a fucking warrior!
-
Re: Joe Joyce v Derek Chisora
Draw :peeker:. Chisora takes 10th on literal fumes and rights thrown from the parking lot.
