When you stand back and look at this...the activity differences as well as Ortiz never having made the actual weight. Less than 2 rounds of action in over 2 years! And just like that he's become #1 in the Crawford running. Absolutely nothing would shock me, including a huge Bohachuk win. A rbr of main would be awesome. Hunting streams so may miss it, because no way is Dazn getting any more of my money ;D
I'm surprised Ortiz Jnr. is such a wide favourite :-\

lots of offense by both guys in the first. vergil might have hurt him in the last minute
serhii might have got a knockdown that wasn't called

everything i expected through three rounds. both guys trading bombs. vergil winning the rounds
they used replay & have rulled the knockdown for serhii in the first
this is boxing at it's best. both guys standing almost in front of each other & trading. bearly any interuptions to the action
i've got it even in rounds after six. i think vegil's nose is broken
close seventh. the pace has slowed slightly but both guys still landing good shots
flash knockdown again for serhii over vergil about halfway through the eighth
vergil stormed back after the knockdown. great stuff. both guys throwing bombs to the bell
Gonna go out on a limb but maybe Oscar and Turki should hold off on announcing "big fights" before the one's right in front of them actually happen. It's a process, but hype gets the best of them.
vergil cut under the left eye. no quit in either guy. both landing big shots on each other

serhii hurt a couple of times in the eleventh. still landing his own bombs. both guys throwing big to the bell. excellent fight
a toe to toe twelfth. a break in the action half way to fix the tape on vergil's glove. fight goes the distance. awesome fight. i have it a draw
one judge has it a draw, the other two have it by two points for vergil
Sounds like a great fight, thanks for the the rbr. It reads Bohachuk really won the contest but he is not the house fighter.
I need to watch this fight. There are no big boxing bouts in the UK for a month until AJ v Dubois.

Entertaining battle. Why it take so many rounds for replay to award 1st RD knockdown? I'm glad they use but so slow. This fight warrant a rematch. I know not in current plans but I hope it can happen

Finally managed to sit down and watch full fight :-X. What an absolute barn burner and massive display of brass by both fighters. Both hurt a couple times I did not honestly think Bohachuk would be able to stay the aggressor for the majority of the night. And it wasn't sloppy aggression for the sake of aggression but cagey and controlled. Ortiz had a pretty rocky start with what was a clean KD in 1st and to me looked shaky and undersized in gaps. He just looked off and took a while to gets his wheels rolling. Ironically the KD in 8th seemed to finally wake him up and make impressive adjustments upper body movement and basic boxing with emphasis on whipping to the body. Very accurate. He swept the final four rounds with a championship type close. Great scrap, in the end I had Bohachuk at 114-112 with the KDs being the difference. In hindsight the 8th could have been 10-9 with Ortiz really fighting immediately back and closing round strong, so even 114-113. Saw lots of calls of "robbery" which imo is nonsense. But I also don't like the way he and Madrimov just prior were treated as mere afterthoughts literally as they were taking the ring and even in post fight, ahem Turki. This is why we fight the fights before announcing others standing at ringside. Easily can and should see a rematch for what is now dubbed THE Foty. 154 is cooking with grease and so many fan friendly 'big' fights at hand.
Good call, that really stood out. That was the big concern when some States rolled replay out was the actual implementation as to NOT interfere with the natural flow of a fight. Why it took 4 round who knows but that has to change. Simply have a designated "instant replay" official reviewing between rounds and if a change is needed do so between rounds, not delaying the rounds start. Still though great to see it used when needed.Quote:
