Could you see if Saddo would make a room especially for your Round by Round Commentary, May have 500 post to be legit to get in. Because I myself get kickoff every time we have a event of that magnitude. I believe the server can not handle all the non members looking on. This will help get Saddo more joined members and give us members a chance to read on with out get booted off.
The last time it was like 300 non members watching.
You know...I thought about that...we could do it over in Wackoland @ the Rankings page...but look @ the amount of hits the site get's during the RBR...& it's also a bit of fun & a tradition that seems to be accepted all around the board...Quote:

I agree, I have that same problem I couldn't get on for the Judah/Mayweather RbR. But since I dont have the prereq of 500 posts I would say 300.
I was heartbroken that I couldn't see, but I guess if it's for the greater good
then I understand :(
I was greatly disappointed too not to be able to see a word of the RBR this time.
It would be easy to post away just to boost the numbers, and put out a bunch of bs no one cares to read. But quantity doeth not quality make.

Which is why I tend to try to keep my mouth shut. Regretfully, I sometimes fail in that attempt, and I then sometimes regret my failure. Read a few of my posts and you will immediately understand the wisdom of my reticence.
I say, the number of posts is not such a good measure. How about rock, paper, scissors?
I had to read the RBR elsewhere. Not taking anything away from that reporting effort, but ... :dontknow: <sob> ... it just weren't the same. I missed the real deal.

Here's how to make your rbr's easier.
Do them all in one post.
Do round 1.. blah blah
Then send..
then as you're watching round 2
Modify the first post and add round 2 to it.
That way, your post is done all in one, and in real time, and you won't be disturbed by other people posting, so you can always be on time.
How about in order to watch the round by round you just need to be a registered member. Making it 300 or 500 posts is a bit harsh and if there were 300 non members viewing the round by round then if they wern't here it would have speeded things up.
Just one important thing though. You would need to close the sign up page on evening day of a big fight else people trying to sign up during a key fight would slow the server right down.
But yeah this weekend was annoying. I tried to watch you round by round live but I got shutout whilst the anthems were being played and couldn't get back.

Anything that makes it easier to access the site when mega busy can only be for the good of the Website IMO.
So annoying when theres a huge fight and you get shut out.
Easier said than done though maybe but worth considering i reckon 8)

OK have been working on this more than anything and i cant really test it till it happens :(
the main problem is the site get hit to bits around fight time usually looking for results etc and add that to the the drbr's get refreshed by hundreds of people as the same time which opens up a connections to the database giving it an enormous amount of pressure.
so from now on the 2 hours before any drbr's start up the forum will be shut to guests this will solve that problem although the rest of the site also gets hit to bits but hopefully not having hundreds of guests refreshing the drbr thread every half a second will stop the databases from crashing ;)

I remember I couldn't watch a fight, because I didn't have cable or knew anyone who had cable. I just moved to a new place. And there was a fight that was big enough for me to be dissapointed I was going to miss it. I believe it was Cotto vs Corely.
Only a few of us couldn't see the fight at the time. Then DRBR, opened up. It wasn't a big time ppv fight, but as Wacko loves to say, "A fight's a fight." As the fight was going on, me and this other dude were reading the type, excited and everything. Reading the round by rounds, was exciting as hell, like an underground exclusive feeling. Whenever I can't watch a good fight or want to review one, I will always appreciate that DRBR is there.
