Seems like he's done a good deal and will make a fair few quid, however I can't help but feel a little sad about this.

they buy out names so like if any company wants to make merchandise or movies they go through CKX instead of talking to Alis lawyers or whoever ...like they gave Ali 50 million ...but they may make 500 million off his name in movies or toys or ANYTHING in the next 10 yrs so his name will pay for himself ..also with him getting old in age its really difficult to manage your own name and hes still gonna get 20% of everything in the future which is a really really good deal,Quote:

Well as long as they treat him respectfully I guess it's ok.
I was thinking that because he is so debilitated with Parkinson's that he might have been forced to sell his name to pay for health bills or something. Hopefully his name won't be put to any worthless, negative crap and he'll do alright out of it.
Well as a commercial decision, they wouldnt do anything to ruin his image cos thats how they make his money. So its safe to say his name is in dafe hands.
Good luck to him. It's better that he gets the money upfront right now so he can spend it!
