Has there been a fights that have happende like this? A pro broxer vs a pro mma fighter.
I think a really good boxer would easily beat a mma fighter because mma fighters are not as disaplined as a boxer with their punches and foot work.

Boxers don't really stand a chance... even at kickboxing unless they actually change their style into a kick boxing style simply because either they can't were shoes and can't push off for any of their punches or they do where shoes and they are not allowed to kick at which point the kickboxers just do leg shots until the boxer goes down.
man it depends on what rules ...if a boxer doesnt knwo how to wrestle and is in the cage hes F**edQuote:

I get what your saying about the kick boxing, but if you a had a really good boxer, he would be able to feint, knows how to use his foot work and reach. And if you ever see the fights in ufc, fighters just rush with their punches and dont feint each other. A boxer would be able to counter their punches.
I don't remember their names, but I saw a mma fight recently with a recent boxer turned mma fighter.
Went up against a great mma fighter and really stood his own for much of the fight.
On their feet, the boxer put up a great showing against the favoured true mma fighter, but with all that ground fighting and grappling and knee shots and whatnot he looked very hopeless on the canvas.
yea its not that boxers are any less sharp or anything ..u just have to be a master at several disciplines INCLUDING pugilism in MMA where as boxing is a pure sport..and they have no need to learn how to grappleQuote:

Unless you're John Ruiz ;DQuote:

True boxer is at a higher advantage in boxing and vice versa.

No I mean heavy, 201 lbs.
in amature 200+ is "super heavyweight" ...and 199 is "heavyweight" ..since there is no cruiser weight in the amatures
Here in Cali, heavy is 178-201, and super heavy is 201+
my bad i thought in that qoute u said 201+ is heavy ,anyway work yourself over to my coast lol,but did u box in the calli gloves tournements or anything? anyway here if your 201 your 1 lbs over weight for the heavyweight division, i think its the same everywhere but w/eQuote:

You planning on going national any time soon?
lol no ...i dont have any reason to hide my name..infact i want the whole world to know my name -and if i'm famous people will be like Hey thats the dude from the forum...but no states as high as i could get and i dont see myself in the olympics cause i'm only 6'0 and at 199 u gotta be stylisticly a slugger ...id do better off as a professional ,anyway i'm only 21 though so who knows i still got time for nationals if i stay amature though i love the thought of paddng my record & making some ca$h
At 6'0 and 200, in the amateurs you should be considered a boxer not a slugger. I'm 6'1 and I always have to assume the role of the boxer who keeps the 5'8, 5'9 slugger at the end of my punches. Not too many tall guys at heavy in the amateurs. I'm roaming around 185-190 but I'm trying to get to a solid 200.
man we get ALOT of 6'3 200 lbs ppl out here i odnt know about cali but there even bigger at super there like either gossly overweight or like 6'4 and 255 ...just people u dont wanna box with
and i'm not a slugger but i think if i were to be successfull fighting someone like that it owuld be to go after them not to trade & out box them which i try to do and thats why i stay at th lowest weight possible cause i'm like 215 as we speak i just trim down ...its 5AM here i'm going to sleep 4 now but i'll ttyl
5am? As a boxer that's unacceptable. Aight man.
