Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Co main to Emanuel Navarette vs Charly Suarez later on. Not sure how much I'll make of main event but here for this one. Muratalla going for the Ibf interim 135. Abdullaev has made a return to the ranking after being destroyed by um Haney years ago. Yes, destroyed by Haney :-X.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Feel um out 1st round. Muratalla active with the jab throughout and follows thru with right twice. Abdullaev with counter left falls short.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Nice little double left hook starts Muratalla 2nd, head then body.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Solid 2nd by Muratalla stepping up power shots in combination. Dinged Abdullaev with a fast right hand behind the jab. Feet look good too.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Abdullaev needs to find something and come up with an answer. At least attempt to ask a question :-X. Finally opens up with lead right left hook end of 3rd but still falling a bit short. Pretty much all Muratalla 3-0.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Abdullaev with the active upper body movement trying to find a shot off the shift, more active in 4th backing Muratalla to ropes end of round but Muratalla boxing smart and moving well to counter. Right of Muratalla heating up. 4-0
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Right -left by Muratalla and Abdullaev counters immediately with his own that landed 2 of 4. He's definitely letting hands go more now but leading with head will pay for it. Think Abdullaev nicked his first round in 5th. 4-1 Muratalla
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Jab of Muratalla has fallen off a little bit. Reaching or not full extension and Abdullaev getting wise to it.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Again a 3,4 punch counter combo from Abdullaev after Muratalla falling short end of round. Not a lot on them but he's filling holes of some inactivity of Muratalla who is being selective. Close round but 4-2 Muratalla
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Tighter shorter mini exchanges here. Muratalla stabbing to body but fewer. He gives up so much range bending in to get off in spots and Abdullaev countering much more effective. Nice right Muratalla end of round but the momentum feels up from Abdullaev. Flip a coin round, 4-2-1 Muratalla
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Left of Abdullaev has some slap to it but he's chucking it regularly. Muratalla is being very selective, little bit posing but gets in upper off jab. Slower round 5-2-1 Muratalla. Like to see him pressure up a bit
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Muratalla trying to mix but almost pulls them before totally following thru. Better round for sure Abdullaev keeps his hands in his pockets most part of the round. 6-2-1 Muratalla.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
If Muratalla wants to show his gears off...now's the time.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
10th to Muratalla and it's fallen into a bit of paint by numbers. 1-2...pose...1-2. Winning no doubt. First time in the deep rounds though too. 7-2-1
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Abdullaev counters well early 11th. Abdullaev warned to not keep his jab out. Abdullaev cranks in 3-4 punch combo backs Muratalla off. Sneak upper from Muratalla. Muratalla sitting on jab late 11th and gets in another right upper. In control picking spots well this round. He's a patient man.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Abdullaev nose leaking and thumping his chest here. Muratalla stiff jab and crisp right hand here. Abdullaev doing half the work rushing in. Right got in from Abdullaev and Abdullaev looking for the counter upper.
Fight felt much busier that it was and can see tighter on cards but end at 118-110 or 117-111 territory here Muratalla.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Cards 118-110...119-109 x2 Muratalla.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Missed a lot of the main on mute from the patio :-X;D. But Navarrete started from jump unloading everything. Suarez didn't like it to the body, now in 6th. Face of Navarrete is a crimson mask he's busted up. Called a head butt by ref. Fight is all over the place both looked wobbled. Into the 7th. Whatever happens def last fight for Navarrete at 130
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
I remember an old thread here that was running deep. Something like "If you're in a back alley brawl fighters you want with you" ;D. I'll take 1 Navarrete. Ref checking cut now beginning round
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Doctor not ref waves fight off after check. Bit sudden there guys
On replay...that was a Suarez punch.
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Yet again we talk for decades about instant replay and here boxing is yet again ignoring reality. Not sure they even implemented it, and they say Jack Reiss is overseeing replay...:peeker:. Looked like a clean inside hook opened Navarette up to me. Call yet to be made
-
Re: Raymond Muratalla vs Zaur Abdullaev ESPN
Tech decision...headbutt ruled "earlier"....78-75...77-76x2 Navarrete.
Great, we have instant replay but hey it's inconclusive. Guess that's always an option :p. Are we really asking if the scraping of a glove caused a huge cut after a guy gets hit clean on the exact same spot a second ago. Brilliant
