Lawrence Okolie in a boring fight… shock.
Zzzzzzz
Wish they would drop the anthems. Particularly here where loads of Brits will be be supporting Uysk anyway.
Usyk takes that round for me. Nothing tentative there. Look like he is on a mission.
daniel already looking confused & was hurt at the end of the second
Yeah I got it 2-0 Usyk
Usyk takes rnd 2. Much more accurate
Round 3 was actually a good round for Dubois, but the countering from Usyk was just so fucking good.
3-0 Usyk
i've given the first three rounds to oleksandr
I feel like a powerfully whipped uppercut the the body is not only there to hit but could work well for Dubois.
Competitive rounds but 4-0 Usyk
daniel down in the fifth
Well then.
down again & it's over
Legend. Used a bit too much. In Usyks case well deserved. Brilliant finish.
The one outcome I didn't see was Usyk early.
Dubois was second best but he'll be disappointed with himself there as didn't do himself justice.
Usyk says one more fight but who is there.
Usyk was setting him up all night. It's the short chopping shots and ability to put his opponent exactly where he wants him that sets him apart.
oleksandr said maybe two or three more. joseph parker & agit kabayel should be at the top of the list
You're probably right Parker deserves his shot but is he a big enough sell. I don't think so.
I really can see Fury getting a shot on British soil like he's mouthing off about
Superb dismantling by Usyk. He was the definition man on a mission and was sitting down from the start. I was half expecting Dubois to go right out and clump him on the beltline to see if he could cause panic, but he never got a thing going. Usyk sits at a GOAT status and there's no denying it.
I have serious fears that a push for Fury III will become a reality, it's already started.
Although Turki was out immediately with calling for a Usyk v Itauma. Guy wants to get him spanked right out of grade school. Who knows with all the shifting, can see the belts easily fracturing again. Usyk doesn't owe anyone a thing and has nothing to prove. Also wonder how he'll "get up" for lesser knowns etc. Parker would seem a no brainer to get his shot.
oleksandr usyk v daniel dubois two

What was the video?
I've just seen Usyk and Jake Paul were having a face off in the ring afterwards. Wtf
Dubois is a puncher, no doubt. But he is a quitter at heart. I thought it would go to about 7 or 8 at least, but such is life.
I must admit I was a bit late in coming around to Usyk at first. I always considered him just a blown-up cruiser, who would surely get overwhelmed by the huge behemoths we have at heavyweight today. Man... I couldn't have been more wrong. All he's done is beat the top names in the division... twice.
I actually like Usyk a lot. He's a welcome reprieve from the blustering, media attention-seeking types that seem to overpopulate boxing these days. He just goes about his business... and lets his fists do the talking for him. His demolition of Dubois was startling. I know many here have never rated Dubois much, but that was still a spectacularly one-sided affair. Now... I know that sometimes much is made of the southpaw vs righty thing. But I honestly thought Dubois was totally confused and unprepared for those huge, lightning quick lefts he kept getting strafed with. You could see it was only a matter of time.
Usyk has proven pretty rugged and durable, too. To go 12 rounds (twice) with that mass of humanity named Tyson Fury, when you're giving away that much size, is remarkable. Especially considering that Fury is pretty crafty in using his bodyweight to wear down his opponents.
Regarding his place among the all-time greats, I suppose he's earned a seat at the table. I'm not sure I'd be so quick to anoint him as GOAT or TBE at heavyweight. But I wouldn't blame others who might want to include him in that conversation.
Usyk was pure class. Despite all the talk,
1. Dubois hasn’t improved as much as people would have you believe. Usyk totally dismantled him.
2. I don’t want to be too harsh, so I’ll start by saying that Dubois did his best in the first 3 rounds, but it has to be said, and I don’t like saying it, but……..he quit again.
It’s not nice saying that about a fighter, but he could’ve beat the count but chose not to. I’m not digging him out for it, maybe it was a good decision. Maybe he thought “I don’t have any answers, and it ain’t gonna get any better”
And maybe if he had got up , he might’ve been KO’d badly affecting his health.
But if this is his thought process, I’m sorry , but he’s probably in the wrong game, because Boxing is brutal whether we like it or not.
Now you could think “it’s alright you saying that, but you couldn’t do any better!” And that’s absolutely correct, but Dubois is not being compared to me because I’m not a pro boxer.
A lot of his rivals, probably all of them would not have made as little effort to beat the count as he did. After all, it was only the 5th round, plenty more time for a “Hail Mary” of a punch.
Is it over for Dubois? Probably not, I can’t think of many other guys in the division that he wouldn’t stand a chance against.
As for Usyk, please retire as the legend you deserve to be.
There is not a fighter out there that is capable of improving his legacy. No matter who he fights and beats , it won’t mean any more than what he’s already achieved.
But there is always the danger of time catching up with him and he loses to an inferior fighter, which would totally wipe out all the work he’s done to make his legacy.
Retire and then we can start debating where he ranks in the all time lists.

Usyk is the best of the current generation which is a phenomenal achievement considering the giants he is facing today. He has the same dimensions as Ali and I thought he would struggle with modern heavyweights particularly Fury but the way Usyk handles them shows what a truly great boxer he is.
Usyk is a humble man, has great charisma and an outstanding boxer. I did not expect him to beat Dubois so easily. He can go on for years and would like him to face Parker, Agit and even Moses Itauma.
