Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV will fight for the British heavyweight title on 25 October in Derby, live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
The headline bout at the Vaillant Arena is the first event in a new partnership between BBC Sport and promoter Boxxer.
Olympic bronze medallist Clarke has won nine pro bouts, with one draw and one defeat. TKV has won eight of his 10 fights.
"It's amazing to be headlining on the BBC. It is such a big platform," Clarke said.
"There are going to be so many eyes on this fight, and I can't wait to get out there and put on a show."
The event will be live between 20:00 and 22:00 BST on BBC Two and the undercard will be shown on BBC iPlayer.
Clarke, from Burton upon Trent, came close to the British crown in March 2024 when he drew with Fabio Wardley.
The 33-year-old was then knocked out in the first round of their rematch seven months later.
"I'm going to be ice cold in there. I've travelled the world as an amateur, I've had my ups and downs as a pro, and I've learned from all of it," he added, insisting that TKV "won't hear the final bell".

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
Glad to see Clarke rebound himself after that devestating ko loss to Wardley. It looked like Wardley was trying to kill him.

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
This is on the same night as the Wardley v Parker contest I hate when promoters do that.

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
It’s a better headline fight than I thought BBC would get on their first card. But like @Master said , if it’s on the same night as Wardley v Parker that’s a bit of a fly in the ointment.

I hope mainstream TV do pick up some boxing. Channel 5 do a poor job on advertising their boxing but the more free mainstream TV pick up the sport the better.
Forget DAZN.

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
Frazer Clarke says he and opponent Jeamie Tshikeva have a "responsibility" to showcase boxing to new audiences by headlining on free-to-air television in Derby on 25 October.
The British heavyweight title fight marks the start of BBC Sport's new broadcast deal with Boxxer.
Coverage will be live on BBC Two from 20:00 to 22:00 BST, with the undercard streamed on BBC iPlayer.
Speaking at a respectful news conference in London, Olympian Clarke said the fight will "bring audiences on different backgrounds".
The 34-year-old said: "This isn't the typical heavyweight contest. There will be no chairs thrown, no tables thrown, there doesn't need to be slang between us.
"This is two men, dedicated to the craft, who love the sport and are willing to compete to be the best in Britain as a heavyweight."
Tottenham's Tshikeva - known as TKV - echoed his opponent's sentiments.
"Not many people realise how big this moment is, not only for Boxxer, BBC, me and Frazer but it's big for British boxing in general," the 31-year-old said.
"Me and Frazer are going to make history."

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
I wonder how many people will watch this fight? It is free and on mainstream TV. I have not seen a lot of publicity done by BBC for this fight. Clarke is from Midlands so has been on the local news and how he wants to win this historic title. He looks in good condition.
It will be interesting to see the viewing figures as people's habits of watching TV is very different now.
I have the feeling if it was Ben Whittaker there would have been a bigger push from channel. Shame he has left and gone to Matchroom.

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
I am glad this fight has been moved.
The British heavyweight title fight between Frazer Clarke and Jeamie 'TKV' Tshikeva has been moved to 29 November after TKV suffered an injury in training.
It had originally been scheduled for 25 October at Derby's Vaillant Arena and will stay at the same venue, as well as be live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
The rearranged card will still mark the first event in a new partnership between BBC Sport and Boxxer.
"Jeamie suffered an injury in training and the medical advice was he can't compete," said Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom.
"There's an extra edge to the fight. Frazer feels he's ready to win right now and is frustrated at having to completely change his training plan.
"Jeamie will be desperate to prove he's fighting fit and capable of beating Frazer.
"They have been quite respectful of each other up to now, but it feels like that's changing as emotions are running high on both sides."
The final details of the undercard - which will still include British bantamweight Francesca Hennessy against former atomweight world champion Fabiana Bytyqi - will be confirmed in due course.

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
Bobby Dalton vs. Joel Kodua was a good fight between two undefeated boxers which Kodua won on points. Yarde was in his team and was supporting him.
Jack Massey who lost against Jai Opetia last year fought an undefeated Garcia and stopped him in a tremendous action packed contest.

Re: Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV on BBC
Had no idea Clarke had such a long amateur career and turned pro in his 30's. Did he wait too long or has he just never fully measured up?

Frazer is a likeable guy and was successful amateur. He is not talented enough to be a top world champion and found his level. A bit like Audley Harrison. I am concerned about Clarke health since his brutal knockout by Wardley and being out on his feet at the end of the 11th round. It may be sensible to retire.
Interesting fact is his dad named him after Joe Frazier.
