Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Dave Allen is taking on a beast and I do not think he can win this fight. If he wins he could face Wilder next and that would be insane because he would get obliterated but is Wilder that shot he could lose.
Dave Allen will face the challenge of Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at Sheffield Arena, Sheffield.
Dave Allen steps into the ring with a record of 24 wins, 7 losses, and 2 draws, 19 of those wins coming by way of knockout.
Arslanbek Makhmudov will make his way to the ring with a record of 20 wins, 2 losses and 0 draws, with 19 of those wins by knockout.

Pulling for Dave on this one. Arslanbek has been a huge disappointment in my estimation, but looking back at it now, he never had the skills to begin with.

I thought Makhmudov was gonna be a killer beast not long ago, but sometimes when fighters like him get found out, they’re never the same.
I watched an interview with Peter Fury the other day , and although I felt he was a tad harsh on Makhmudov , saying he had a heart like a pea, he does talk a lot of sense.
Allen has got a lot of savvy and I’m hoping he can get through this.
I totally get that he needed to be scared to get the best out of himself. And to be honest , if he wins this, I hope he does get the Wilder fight because I reckon that’ll be easier than this.

Looking forward to this one. Has anyone ever considered doing a movie of Allen ;D ?

Yea, hell. Call it "The Journey of a Fighter named Dave."

Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
i like dave, he's had a tough route but i think he gets beaten up here. i would be happy to see him pull off the upset but it looks like easy money with those odds

That is what I am thinking but Makhmudov has lost twice and seems a bit vulnerable. I think Allen will lose but hope he wins.

Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Uddin won English flyweight title, Padley won a close contest against Ballotti.
Bostan v Fawaz is turning into a blinder.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Made it in for the 10th round and onto the main. Really no idea who the undercard guys are.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Dave Allen did well at the end of the second round but he is behind. The bodyshots are working.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
That atmosphere is off the charts. That’s why uk fights belong in the uk 😆. Gave Makhmudov 1,2 but Allen having a few spots and jarring left hooks. Cracked him low too and Mak started the shaking the head thing he does. I think that’s a major tell on him. Did it with Guido and Agit a lot after getting in trouble. It’s a weird habit. Allen better 3rd and Mak trying to be smart.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Allen 4 rounds down but now Dave should start taking over hopefully.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Mak starting to clinch and hold the head of Allen and ref warns him. Thought Allen nicked the 4th. Getting home here in the 5th!
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Tiny signs on panic in Mak after that from Allen. Gave Allen 4 and 5
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
At last Allen dominated the 5th round.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Makhmudov wins the 6th round but he is holding and ref needs to deduct points.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Mak warmed again for holding. Looks like he’s unraveling a bit. Nice Allen 6th but Mak landing a couple touch combos to edge it. 4-2 Mak
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Better 7th Mak in a round Allen inexplicably became a spectator walking onto his punches. Ohh ref takes it all back, docks a point from Mak for holding? Basically a 10-10 round
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Ref deducted a point in the 7th against Makhmudov so even round as he was winning it.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
5-2-1 Makhmudov after 8. Allen needs to light a fire under his arse, needs something huge.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Telling you, Mak has confidence issues. Looking to ref looking to corner etc
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Massive 9th for Allen. Had Mak tethering along the ropes late off hard hooks. 5-3-1 Makhmudov
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Allen needs the stoppage to win and nearly did it in round 9.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Gave Allen 10th. Mak watching the clock not punching thru the target anymore. 5-4-1 Mak. Now or never David
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
6-4-1 Makhmudov into the 12th.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Makhmudov wins 11 th and should win the fight. Allen needs the knockout.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Active and accurate 12th by Mak early. Allen cracks him 1-2 oh and ref takes another point! Late rally Allen and literally leaves his feet missing another left hook. This scoring may be funny. Another 10-10 as Mak edged round minus a point. 6-4-2 Mak at the end
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Makhmudov wins UD.
Allen did not do enough to win. Makhmudov boxed well and paced the fight better.
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Def right winner but didn’t see 117-109 with two points lost. Decent scrap. So now Makhmudov v AJ eh? Great sportsmanship by both Mak and Allen in post fight here.

i'm glad bilal got the nod
ref was trying his best to help dave with those deductions
-
Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Bilal looked surprised he won. Never seen that before.

Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Couldn’t get on here last night because of site issues. Right result, Allen showed loads of heart as always and loads of honesty afterwards again, as always. You can’t help but like Dave Allen, if only they were all as genuine as him. Tough man, but he knew Makhmudov was better.
As for Makhmudov, nice guy, steady fighter , good skills for a big guy , maybe just not as much pop in his punches as you would expect looking at him.
Can’t see the AJ fight happening, but you never know.
If Makhmudov was British he would be heralded much higher. For example , I think he’s better than Wardley. No disrespect to Wardley because I like the guy.
That’s life.

Re: Dave Allen v Arslanbek Makhmudov
Makhmudov did a great interview afterwards and seems a nice guy. Hope he gets the AJ pay day because I do not see him winning.

neither guy should be near a main event in my opinion but it was nice to hear a lively crowd
i also don't see the aj fight happening, if it does aj by destruction within six
fabio would wipe the floor with both arslanbek & dave
