It's nice to agree with Sal this time. ;D
Tix are on sale for this already--it's at Staples Center.
rocky has good chance to upset barrera with that power. but barrera who is on the decline in his career has better skills and experience on his side.
Barrera by UD
There was a press conference today
Great fight! Barrera's a real warrior, taking on so many top guys throughout his career. Based on his results against other great fighters you have to go with Barrera on this one, but it should be a heckuva contest. Juarez can box well, having given Zahir Raheem his only loss, so it might go the distance. Conditioning will be a major factor.
I'm happy MAB is taking this fight,it is risky against a powerful guy rather than fighting the Peden's and Fana's. A win here and he once again stAkes claim for P4P status, don't you think?
Not until he beats Pacman.Quote:

Barrera will beat Juarez, but ain't beatin Pac-man. And Winky ain't beatin Taylor either.Quote:

I am talking about my P4P list I know floyd won't be coming down until he loses. in my view P4P should be reflective of who has been fighting the best and winning. floyd is one of my favorite fighters but I am objective his current number 1 P4P status is a result of what he had done at 130lbs and 135lbs and to the fact that he is undefeated. at 140 and 147 he fought and dominated bruseles, corley, gatti, mitchel and zab. Even though I don't think too much of Winky wright i do acknowledge what he has accomplished and give him the slot on my P4P 1 and if he beats taylor that will solidify his position as for barrera beating juarez and pac can culminate a legendary career and would therefore give him the #2 slot.Quote:

I thought when zab lost to baldomir, margarito instantly qualified as the most worthy contender. even though I don't defend my fighters when they take meaningless fights I still support them, as I bought the PPV.
come on man, margarito is an easy fight on paper for floyd, while zab almost beat him
I share the same sentiment about floyd-Margarito but the guy has been nothing but proffesional beating guyz in front of him and waiting for a shot at the spotlight which I believe he earned. unlike zab who unprofessionaly showed up illprepared and lost to baldomir but was rescued by arum and king and the IBF. Arturo gatti was an easy opponent for floyd and since gatti was looking good in his previous fights some people were even thinking maybe just maybe gatti might pull through but he didn't.Quote:

The date has been set, let's see what happens. Also,as for Zab coming close to beating Floyd,I admire your resoluteness in standing by your fighter but that is blind faith to say he nearly won. He won 4 rounds, that's all and was getting busted up toward then end which is why he hardly offered any resistance.
well he only won 4 rounds according to nevada appointed officials ;)
