Floyd might never lose
He beats every boxer put in front of him. He is likely to retire undefeated.
Ricky Hatton won't beat him.
A lot of these other guys do not have the skill.
Zab Judah had the most skill in his division but couldn't deliver.
Floyd is too quick, too accurate, and too savvy.
He could never lose in boxing. There's been a lot of talk but nobody close.
Diego Corrales was done at the hands of Mayweather too.
Oscar is too old and better not do it.
He'd make all of them look foolish.

Re: Floyd might never lose
zab out boxed him for half the fight if they fight again and zab fights his fight with more work rate he will win UD
he was quicker then mayweather more slicker. but the thing he did not have was a defence like mayweather.

Floyd is still undefeated.

Re: Floyd might never lose
can't say he'll neveR lose...thieRs always chance of upset...he can run in to the wRong unknown fighteR with a huge punching poweR...floyd has gReat defense but he has been hit befoRe...the fight with judah didn't really pRove to me that judah can't beat him...i think if floyd beats hatton...than mostly likely he'll RetiRe undefeated...hatton did beat koysta...and koysta i think is the best of all of them oveRall...well koysta has age so we wiLL neveR know if floyd or hatton would of beat him in the same age as they aRe...but afteR seeing floyd fight with zab i don't think he'll beat koysta if they fought years ago...
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
On the one hand, I wouldn't say he'll NEVER lose...
But on the other hand, I don't see any current fighter beating him.
For someone to beat him, it'll take the speed of a Judah mixed with the heart/determination/sustained-aggression of a Hatton.
But matching Floyd for speed is paramount.
I don't see anyone like that right now.

FIrst whole first half of the fight, are you kidding me? Do you know anyhting about boxing?

Re: Floyd might never lose
He wont retire undefeated. He will get his L at some point, either hang around for one fight to long or sooner. I think Zab showed that he is beatable. If someone can keep a high work rate with presure against him, it would give him problems. Zab showed in the first 4 rounds that with speed and a good work rate you can beat him. But the problem is keeping that work rate up for the full 12.

Re: Floyd might never lose
Boy...
... your guys' total belief is going to make me ALLLLOTTTAAAA money, when Floyd gets beat... by someone I won't mention. ;)
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Every man @ some point in time is beatable...Floyd will get beaten...but it will take a lot of something...& I don't know what that something is.
Could be experience = Oscar (doubt it = age)
Could be force = Margarito (doubt it = not enough speed or skill)
Could be brute strenght = Hatton (maybe...but I'm still gonna go with doubt it)
One thing can be said...if Floyd defeats all 3 names above...or beats just two of them...I don't wanna hear no more fwockin hate.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
I think that he will eventually lose although it might be a few years from now. If he fights and beats Margarito, which I think will happen within a year or so, then I doubt that anyone else will beat him unless he puts on more weight and fights at junior middleweight. I've already looked pretty carefully and I don't see anyone else at welterweight that I would give a good shot to beat him. If Kermit Cintron gets his head back on straight and wins all of his fights for awhile he could get a shot at Mayweather, and with his height and power he would have a punchers chance.

Re: Floyd might never lose
i think baldomir will defeat him ;D

Re: Floyd might never lose
Tyson was never supposed to lose either ;)
How can you say he won't lose? He's already been beat imo by Castillo and it's been proven that he is far from invincible when facing constant pressure. Why couldn't Hatton beat him? He has a better chance then anybody imo. While I think I would pick Floyd, I would go as far as to say the fight is a toss up. I think Zab had a real shot at winning if he would have gone to the body in the early rounds especially in the 4th. I know Hatton won't have a problem going to the body ;)

Re: Floyd might never lose
hatton is the guy i want to see floyd in the ring with most....hatton is the biggest test for floyd IMO...
if he gets through that then it will put a lot of questions in my head to rest....and then there's margarito! ;D
but seriously, its hatton i wanna see floyd fight...

Re: Floyd might never lose
Floyd has a style advantage against everyone on that list but Judah. And I said style advantage. the "style" that gives him the most trouble out of all of them IS Judah's. And DLH would beat him anyway so he's not going to fight Oscar.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
They all lose sooner or later and Floyd will not be the exception, might not be in the near future but it will happen.

DLH to old for a young lion like May DLH might struggle with Mayorga. Floyd already has two loses IMO

Starr, I think I have a style advantage over you? So, would you meet me in the Bronx?

Re: Floyd might never lose
he will lose if his CRACKHEAD UNCLE keeps cockblocking and actin the fool. i almost crapped in my pants when Uncle Crackhead jumped in the ring i was like whoa there goes PBF's undefeated record :'(
prior to the actual fight i was watching the interviews on PPV and i was like WHOA this man's a crackhead he's not even making much sense and at one point he started talking about ZAB when he meant to say Floyd. Something was telling me uh oh Uncle Crackhead might do something foolish tonight???

:coolclick: back at ya.
And I agree. Hatton and PBF need each other. Hopefully Hatton stops this 2007 talk and we get PBF - Hatton by year's end.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Floyds days are sooooo #'d. Judah could of stopped him and PBF was folding under pressure. If zab didn't gas out, he would of finished PBF. Zab let PBF back into that fight. Like usual Zab beat himself.
Hatton will destroy him.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Hatton doesn't fight like Zab and isn't as fast that he could catch Floyd like Zab did.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
no he's not as fast but don't expect a gatti like fight. IMO Gatti was rocked by that cheap shot and it threw him off the fight. NOt to say that gatti could beat PBF but I think he would of lasted longer and had more confidence. If Hatton presses PBF and takes a few in an exchange. I don't think he'll mind.
PBF will go down one way or another. I'd love to see him get really brave and fight winky, mayorga or even vargas.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Gatti fought an effective first round behind his jab countering whenever Floyd wanted to come forward, basically what Judah did with his left hand but from a southpaw stance. Seems Floyd gets caught by the same left hand. But Gatti wasn't doing good in the first round by coming forward.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Yeah, but after that cheap shot....It was all down hill for gatti. It was a cheap shot but a crisp one. I'm sure it affected gatti. I think hatton would destroy gatti...
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Vargas has no chance against Floyd. Mayorga and Floyd would be interesting though. If Mayorga catches him with one of those crazy shots, they can count to 20 and Floyd still won't get up!
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
I think its true that Zab's style was the best fighting style against Floyd.
However, Zab couldn't do it. So, now what? I think Hatton might have
another better chance against him. Still, if Floyd beat him (which I think he
can), then there is just nobody right now that could take him.

Really brave or really stupid, welter is his limit unless see's an easy opening for a title that he thinks he can't lose, if he is as smart as they say he'll stay where he is and try to perfect his game even more. Judah did lose this fight but he also showed that Floyd was human and can be beaten.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Floyd will step up to 154lbs when he sees a belt that he can take easily. Then he will go back down to 147 and stay there.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Everyone losses sometime, and so will Floyd
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
Floyd will loose some day... Look at RJJ till he slowed up and fought Tarver the only time he ever 'lost' was a DQ. After moving up and getting a heavy weight belt he seemed unstoppable.
I wouldn't say Hatton won't beat him. hatton is relentless and from what I saw of Floyd against Judah... whilst technically Floyd is good once he makes a mistake and gets opened up he looks very vunerable. Hatton has the conditioning, will and pressure to beat Floyd... he couldn't outbox FLoyd but at the moment he's the man to beat him.
-
Re: Floyd might never lose
I think Floyd will lose only because the odds are almost impossible that he retires undefeated. I think he will wind up losing to someone where no one sees it coming. Before the Castillo fight, no one thought Castillo would do as well as he did. Sometimes boxers meet opponents who happen to be at their absolute best that very night, like Tyson-Douglas. Floyd will probably meet up with someone who fights a perfect fight for one night and ends up beating him, it just happens to everyone.

Well put bro,cc. Only thing is, I can't see Lil Floyd EVER slacking in training or under preparing in any way,I think his weight jumping will prove to be his undoing IF he goes to 154 and comes back. However, if anyone could remain undefeated for thir whole career,it's Floyd. His talent his quite phenomenal!!

Re: Floyd might never lose
Floyd should stay at the lighter weights.
