I think this would be entertaining.
Rather see this than him face Usyk
The rumour is that Usyk may face Andy Ruiz now.
Loser gets an annual supply of liquid meals and winner gets overpaid to lose another big fight next out.
Ruiz v Usyk possibility if just so out of left field. Makes me thing back to when we were so close to Ruiz-Wilder but Wilder basically talked himself out of it. Feels like they're just interested in a US friendly name for Usyk to piggy back off of.
call me crazy but i think derek wins
I agree, it’s a very winnable fight for Chisora.
Derek is rough and tough, and he has always been a bit technically limited, so that isn’t anything new. There are a few ways he can win this bout.
I don’t think there is much left of Deontay Wilder. If he doesn’t land a Hail Mary bazooka I can’t see a way he wins ….. so the odds are not on his side really.
It is a sky ppv event which is absurd. Chisora is certainly raking in the money in his last few fights and will continue to milk his “last fight” theme until he loses.
Is that confirmed ?? can’t see how this sells on PPV at all
Yeah I can't imagine pay-per-view on that one either. But as for Deontay Wilder, his strategy worked really well in the third fight with Tyson for about four rounds. He was able to jab really hard to the body with the left and with the power that he has he should not have abandoned that strategy he should have kept smacking that left jab straight to Tyson's body and I believe if he keeps that strategy using his reach and his speed that he could just win fights Now using his left jab the way Larry Holmes used to win fights in his second career just basically using the left Jab and an occasional hard unexpected overhand right which would knock out the opponent easily given his power
Deonte Wilder had the potential to be better than he was and I feel he just got the wrong advice from his trainers. The guy like that can sit back and conserve his energy for 8 or 10 rounds and still get the spectacular knockout with one punch if he just conserves his energy and tries to win rounds just using the Jab like Tommy Hearns used to do and then when the opponent gets lulled into that rhythm, suddenly like a snake Wilder could simply smoke the opponent with a torpedo right hand. Why he always burned himself out by the fifth or the sixth round I have no idea but it seems like bad advice from his managers. I think he can have a decent run of four or five more fights given his athleticism even though he's up in age now if he just sticks to the plan to conserve his energy and punish the opponent with 20 good jabs per round to the body and head and then Spark him out in the 8th or 9th round
They shouldn't fight anyone.
Both are washed. Derek will sound James Toney in 10 years time. Both need to retire, but they're having one last Hail Mary against each other b4 they both drift off into retirement. Apparently this is PPV ? I mean..seriously ?

He gave her everything, and soon as Tyson Fury beat me she filed for divorce.
Thankfully he wrote that b*tch and her ungrateful of a son out of his will. Most women don't respect men that are willing to be stepdads. "When I grow up, I want to be a stepdad" - SAID NO MAN EVER.
Gentlemen, should you still want to be a Deontay 2 ? Remember you're not dating a single mother, you're dating a broken family. My father once said "Dating a single mom is like going to a party just as everybody is leaving and then washing their dishes"
Anyway to think BOMBSQUAD actually chosen Del Boy instead of a shot at 3 belts and a bigger payday? Shouldn’t really be surprised I suppose, he’s always chosen the path of least resistance but that's good for the fans, lets have Usyk fight Kabayel, Opetaia or Itauma. Nobody else for the love of god.
mentioning larry & tommy when talking about deontay's ability is a special kind of delulu. the only chance he has against derek is when derek gets tired in the later rounds but deontay doesn't throw punches anymore, so he'll get outworked & maybe even stopped by the 2026 version of derek. at his best deontay probably still struggled with derek, now i'm not even sure he wins
Can actually agree there and see Chisora coming out ahead within the distance. I just think Wilder is that far gone and, in more ways, than one has been for a while. The instant eraser was always overrated, in my honest opinion. The match is literally picking who is less shot to bits but even at their top days Chisora has always been that more rugged physical and knows how to use the physicality, ugly or not. Both have a chip on their shoulders too, pride tends to go last in some. I can even see him getting cocky and waving Wilder in to tee off. Sloppy physical and a lot of "silent agreement" type clinches, Chisora wears him down. But these guys are scrambled. Promotion should be dressed in all black pushing it.

Explaining how the fight came to be, Wilder told talkSPORT.com in an exclusive interview: "Although we were in talks with Usyk, we still didn't have a date or a place; we were still scrambling around.
"In boxing, things either go very slow or very fast. There is no in between. And this was very slow.
"I am an older fighter; I can't sit around like a young fighter.
"So while we were in negotiations with Usyk, we started negotiations with Chisora.
"This fight [with Chisora] was supposed to happen back in December.
"So talks were already in an advanced stage before we got talking again, and by the time everything had stalled [with Usyk], we already got the fight [with Chisora] signed.
"And then, when we had it signed with Chisora, that is when Usyk's people came in and said, 'Okay, let's go, we are ready'.
"But I wasn't going to do Chisora like that.
"Me and Chisora have already been through enough. I didn't want to back out of this now.
"This is his 50th fight and final fight, and what better guy to retire with?
"I'm one of his good mates... this is going to get me to where I need to be, or where I think I should be, moving forward.
"I get past Derek, and that will put the heavyweight division on notice, and then we can move on to Usyk."

Deontay Wilder was doing very well with the hard piercing jab to the body against fury, if he could just continue that strategy if he could just keep smashing 20 or 30 Jabs to the body per round like that and once in a blue moon throw the atomic torpedo I think he would do well, he would do well relying mostly on the left jab
Deontay Wilder has confirmed that he will continue working with Don House for his upcoming clash with Derek Chisora.
"Don House is my trainer for this one," Wilder told talkSPORT.com.
"I needed a change in direction after Malik [Scott] and Don has had over 28 champions in UFC and boxing.
"He's usually the head trainer, but when he first came on board with me, he had no problem stepping to one side and doing certain things to be a part of the team.
"Now, it's the time for him to step up, and he took the opportunity with both hands.
"Don and I were getting to know each other while Malik was in that spot, so when the transition happened, it was natural.
"I always knew he was a great trainer, but just because you are a great trainer doesn't mean you are the right fit for a certain type of fighter.
"A trainer and a fighter have to have a bond. So once we built the relationship, I felt he was ready to take over."
"Malik Scott is my brother, and I needed him at that moment in time," Wilder added.
"I needed people that I trusted because the people around me started to change, especially my old trainer.
"Malik and I never had a plan in place in terms of how long we would work together, but I think he did an amazing job.
"I could have had Emanuel Steward in my corner, and the results would have been the same because mentally I wasn't there anymore.
"The results that happened when Malik was here were not his fault.
"The way I look at it, we both won. He built me up to where I am now mentally, and I helped him boost his resume as a trainer.
"Now he has got more clientele and more money than before I worked with him.
"We are both very thankful for each other. He's happy for me, and I'm happy for him."

The way Larry Holmes used the jab to win most of his fights in his comeback during the 90s, his jab was so good that even in his old age he could win fights just using that and the occasional right hand. I think Deontay Wilder could do that because we saw him employ a very unique and effective strategy for the first four rounds against Tyson Fury doing just that
Wilder should use his jab but he is not technically a good boxer. His power covers his poor skills and now that he can’t pull the trigger it leaves him exposed to the ordinary heavyweights in the division.
True he seems to no longer be able to pull the trigger. But I really liked how he fought the first four rounds against Tyson Fury in their rubber match. He was really effective with the jab to the body with his Long Reach and his good speed. He was getting some pretty good pop into that left Jab. I think it was starting to bother Tyson a little bit but then he abandoned the program. He is definitely not a good boxer technically. But if he could do that, he may have a chance against Derek
You are remembering the third Fury v Wilder different to me. Fury dominated all their fights together and other than being knocked down he won all the rounds. Wilder has never been the same after those bouts. Any success Wilder had was because Fury felt comfortable and allowed it.
Fury outclassed and out punched Wilder, whose legs always seem to get rubbery after 6 or 7 rounds.
Wilder had moments of success but couldn't capitalize to finish the job. 1st fight Fury almost won the roud that Wilder floored him. Amazing chin. Like Larry Holmes. 2nd fight was a Wipeout. 3rd fight I felt Wilder had decent success jabbing repeatedly to the body for the first 3 or 4 rounds AND SHOULD HAVE CONTINUED to do so! After that Fury just broke him and after that punishment Wilder was never ever the same.
mark breland should sue delusional deontay
Wilder has PTSD after his losses to Fury. He nearly attacked Simon Jordon, who is a prick, when he was promoting this fight last week on the radio show. Wilder was asked a simple question about his fight against Tyson and he lost his mind.
Rumours are that this contest could be for the IBF title as they may strip Usyk of the belt.
