why ???

I remember saying this was going to be a trilogy.
But isn't this a little too soon ???
At least make this one a HBO one. And NOT HBOPPV
but how can there be a trilogy when Judah can't win one of them :-\
Judah probably will win the 2nd. Seems the guy who loses the first closely usually wins the second in devastating fashion. Of course Castillo couldn't do this with Mayweather, but he did with Corrales.
Two problems though,
Mayweather can stick to the gameplan he followed from round 6 on and he can win a wide decision.
But if he comes out trying to knock Judah out again he will have some problems.
And since Juan Diaz probably won't be on the card, I see no reason why Judah can't go and get Ronnie Shields again.
well, i would like to think so...but it would be a major upset if Floyd losses im sure
I dont know what Judah can do to win, he can't keep a high paced attack for 12 rounds thats for sure
This fight already happened! :o
NO! This can't be!
This is horrible for boxing. You can't "order" a rematch the public wasn't "asking" for.
(Besides Sal, who, I am every surprised hasn't entered this thread yet. ;D )
Judah should go to Mayweather's body and make him lead. When he made Mayweather lead was when he caught him. But as Lewis said all Mayweather was doing was leading with his right hand and not doing anything else and then backing out. So Judah needs to use his uppercuts more.Quote:

I don't curse. But I'm very close right now. This is BULLS$#@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is the justification for this? I truly hope PBF just refuses the rematch and lets the IBF strip him. I'm really not interested in seeing Judah again. Why should he get the chance of a lifetime, twice in a row? The guy lost the IBF title two fights in a row and he's still getting chances? BULLS$#@!!!!!!!
You know, I wondered the same thing once Julio Cesar Chavez lost to Willy Wise ;)
you know, i'll give Judah the benefit of the doubt because you're pretty smart when predicting fights..
I don't know if he can win, but this fight looks more of a last huray to me
But what has he done to deserve the chance to fight the #1 guy p4p twice in a row? He got beat, almost KO'd by Baldomir. He loses a decision that no one can dispute to PBF. . . . . and now he gets rewarded with a rematch? !! This is ludacris. This guy should be on ESPN Friday Night Fights.
True.
Too many fighters don't deserve title shots nowadays or even shots at somebody especially after losing.
Who's the guy that fought Chi twice ??? I didn't think he deserved the second time. Who was he ???
Dissapointing, there are so many good matchups out there for PBF
Should Zab's people be thrilled about this, three losses in a row is not good for his career.
I cant remember. All I know is this rematch the IBF ordered is stupid!!!
PBF should vacate the title by refusing to do a rematch. Then throw it in a trash can like Bowe did and let Judah go fishing for it. There are much bigger fights out there for PBF. Forget Judah, and the IBF he clearly has in his pocket.
Fwock them!
Floyd should just move on up to the other challenges ahead.
Fight Margarito or Oscar or Hatton...but pride won't let him. He'll fight Judah again...& IWO...he shouldn't give him the opportunity.
There's no sense in it. He can make better fights & I would say better money...but HBO & the sanctioning bodies will make some fat cash offa that mess...politics & bullshat will prevail...but Judah didn't do squat from 5 on that was worthy of a rematch.
:coolclick: My thoughts to a tee.Quote:

Arum said that there would be no rematch...no matter what...but if Floyd argues differently...what can Arum do?
Like Oscar De La Hoya didn't do shat from round 6 on against Shane? he lost rounds 7 8 9 10 11 and 12 to Shane Mosley.
What did DLH do in the first fight to merit a rematch.
What DLH did was move up in weight and knockout Vargas and thats basically it, and Shane had lost twice ahd hadn't fought in a year and DLH is still the bigger draw.
This is the route for a rematch where one fighter is dominated but still a name I would rather see then an immediate one.
Which is why I said "isnt this too soon" ???
Mayweather cares more about $$$$ than belts. I wont be surprised if he vacates the title.
I gotta disagree...Mayweather cares about his belts & his legacy first...then the money.Quote:

You watch & see if that fool doesn't ask for the rematch if fans start questioning his victory over Judah...he did the same thing with Castillo...& Castillo fought a better fight than Judah did against Floyd...
Everyone talks about how well Judah does in rematches...Floyd didn't do too bad in the only rematch of his career...
Judah would be wise to take a tune up & hope that Floyd get's battered in a fight against Hatton or Margarito.
You think that Judah did enough to merit a rematch?Quote:

I didn't say that wacko ;) I gave an example of a route I wish was taken instead of an immediate oneQuote:

I always wanted to see that fightQuote:

Here's what Zab should do.
Let Floyd fight a Hatton Baldomir(or Gatti) and then he fight the winner after a tune up. Which he'll probably get on a PPV somewhere
Mayweather wont take this fight, he will vacate the belt, gaurentee it.
Well, that does it for me. In case I forget, please remind me what a loathsome collection of parasites the IBF must be. I have nothing against Judah, but Mayweather won, and won clearly, and that's good enough reason to just let the result stand and allow both men to go on with their careers without some organization trying to strong-arm them.
Judah and a 3 fight losing streak :P ::** Judah is singlehandedly ruining his career.
cool click.Quote:

PBF is stupid if he takes this (shameless money maker for the IBF) rematch. He has nothing to prove against Judah. PBF just needs to vacate the IBF belt, get a different alphabelt at 147 and then move up and try to grab a 154 alphabelt. Then he can start fighting the super fights.
Judah needs a tune up or two before he fights PBF again. He needs to regain his confidence and work on his conditioning so he can keep a high pace for a full 12.
well this will not be one of those cases. Floyd will devestate Zab far worse than the last fight which is close as zab will ever get to him.Quote:

If they want to strip Floyd then fine, but make him fight the winner of Gatti v Baldomir for the strap at least!!
Zab has been thrown in the bin let him earn his shot by fighting Tony in July.. actually that wouldnt work either because Tony isnt ranked by them.. even though he kicked the sh1t out of Kermit Cintron last April who is ranked number 5!!
If Mayweather vacated the belt it would show he has integrity.
But then we remember Floyd Mayweather picked Judah FOR that belt and you realise that Mayweather cares more about belts then his legacy. Or he would have fought Baldomir.
Floyd has never vacated a title in his life, and what better way then to get an easy title defense(in his eyes) and defending his title since he already "beat" Judah. Just like when he beat Castillo he will take this rematch. And you know what Mayweather's excuse will be "Floyd Mayweather never ducks or dodges nobody.. Pretty boy Floyd is the best fighter in the world and I'm out to prove that every night, they say he gave me a tough fight, and you know me, I don't duck or dodge nobody so I will prove to you that this will be easy work."
If Floyd vacates his belt it will be what Arum wants to do and not what Floyd wants to do.
Here's Zab's tuneup if Floyd vacates the title.
Zab Judah vs. (some guy)
For the NOW VACANT IBF Title :(
then Judah wins and becomes IBF Champ again, whoopty fukin do!!!
But Mayweather now fights Margarito and Hatton(If he even does or doesn't)
And you know what Zab's missed out on, all he has is a "belt" but Mayweather would have a legacy.
So vacating the belt and taking the stance is what Floyd could do for his legacy.
But this order of a rematch hurts Judah more then it does Floyd.
Judah had opportunity to fight Margarito, and Baldomir or Gatti or Hatton or Collazo. While Mayweather was deciding who to fight.
Lets say Mayweather picked to fight Margarito.
This would have given Zab opportunity to fight The Hatton vs. Collazo winner(winning that fight would put him in the serious picture ESPECIALLY if he beat Hatton), or even better the Gatti Baldomir winner(and if he had won that fight he would be back atop the 147 pounds) and then Mayweather would HAVE to fight him again and Mayweather probably would have beaten margarito and be IBF and WBO Champ while Zab is now WBC WBA Champ and Undisputed once again. Then you can have a true Unification bout between the two in which either fighter wins is THE MAN no matter what and legacy is cemented for either of them.
Which is why I am PISSED at the IBF right now. They had no reason to do this, since SO MANY THINGS could have happened if they'd just LEFT THIS ALONE!!!
tony isnt ranked because he holds the wbo belt and fighters who already hold a piece of the championship arent ranked.Quote:

Now let some c+ level Welterweight finish off Zabs career while I move on to greatness. ;D
When is the fight? It's a good idea to have a few of these fights. Judah could win maybe 1 out of 3 matches.
it'll never happen. floyd will definitely abandon the ibf title. more likely that he'll just take margarito's strap--which is more meaningful anyway, considering judah had no business bringing that thing in to the pbf match in the first place.Quote:

If it makes dollars it makes sense... according to PBF. So my guess is he will take the rematch. I wonder how much Zab will get paid in the rematch?
I don't know. That's a reason entirely independent of what the IBF is doing. If you're saying he'll do it because of the money, then you'd have to have thought two days ago that this rematch would happen too. Did you?Quote:

Your last question is a good one though. You'd have to expect Zab would get less this time, right? Maybe 750,000 or 500,000?
