DLH is hands down the richest boxer today, he is the highest paid non heavyweight ever, and also he's making quite a bit on the promoting alone
Out of fighters that have fought recently I'd say, ODLH by far makes the most out of any fighter right now (he'll get like 15 Million for 12 rounds), PBF, Mosley, Trinidad (recently retired), Gatti makes a ton on the boardwalk, Tszyu, Hatton, JoeCal make a bit too. If Lennox came back he'd make $20-$30 Million a fight.
The wealthiest boxer of all time is Evander Holyfield. Currently worth almost 500 million.. And he still want's to fight. truly depressing.
I believe actually its Tyson who has made more money than any other athlete has ever through sport profits alone.
where would rjj rate
Without sponsors I believe that is correct, but Mike has basically blown all of his money.Quote:

Holyfield is actually the guiness record holder for wealthiest boxer... That's all I know. Roy Jones would have to be way up there as well, don't know where.Quote:

I think this figure may be slightly exaggerated, as there is no way in hell Evander has amassed a half a billion dollars. Possibly with endorsements and good investments, I'd say maybe $200 mil tops.Quote:

Money makes money, if you can just resist the temptation to spend it all. apparently HOlyfield has also had alot of religious groups contribute to him during his peak because he was such an evangelical christian.. But I don't know how much truth there is to that and I suspect it hurt him when people found out he regularily commited adultery and had illegitimate children :-XQuote:

George Foreman with his grill has more money than Evander and even he doesn't have $500 million.Quote:

George Foreman makes $250,000 a MONTH!!!!!!!!! just based on his grill sales alone.
Yea that's a nice income.... Also... :PQuote:

lol tell me the name of this song, I remember hearing that line and it cracked me up, Common used to be the shit as well but I hate his new style.. Electric Circus was the last good work he did, years ago now.
Holyfield, Lewis,Jones Jr, Dela Hoya and Ali.
OK, I just found out RJJ made 10 million for the Ruiz fight, plus 60% of the PPV revenue.
Lewis made 11 million for the Rahman rematch and that was when he was the challenger . Think he made 11 million against Tucker in his first defence which isnt bad against second rate opposition
LOL I remember when they were in negotiations for that fight, there was at one point a contract propsed by Jones camp where Ruiz would make NO money.. And really, it would have been more than he deserved considering he already had the chance to fight Jones as a HW champ. it's a shame he got a freaking cent.Quote:

Oscar de la Hoya (USA) is the world’s highest-paid boxer, with estimated earnings of $43.5 million in 1999, according to the 2000 Forbes Celebrity 100 list.

I've ALWAYS read that its Mike Tyson by a large majority didn't he make like 14million against Mcbride?
Although Forbes is ostensibly a financial magazine, Pulley seems at his most befuddled when he’s dealing with fiduciary matters. He seems utterly aghast, for instance, when he notes that “Tyson grossed more than $400 million in his career but kept only 25%. During the years he was represented by King, he paid 30% to the promoter, 20% to two managers, and half of what was left to taxes.”
S far a smoney in the bank not carreer earnigs no doubt evander holyfield he is weel invested, shows what happens when youg ot the right people around you
Don't foget RJJ was getting some decent cash from endorseing the Jordan line. Not sure how much he made, but it was probably as much as he made in boxing.Quote:

Calzaghe has made Jack shit mate compared to to the other Champs, he has not been paid £1 Million for one fight yet, Hatton has made £6 Million so far in his career, which will rise here on in. I would say Calzaghe is not even top 80 top earners out of the current crop of boxers.Quote:

how much money does that fat turdburger butterbean make?
he is a embrassment to the sport of boxing.
i hope he eats his own head.
i know this is seriously off-topic, but seriously. Electric Circus was far and away the worst album Common ever put out--neo-hippy shit for white girls. The new album is a return to form--closer to the classics (Resurrection, One Day It'll All Make Sense).Quote:

Holmes and Michael Spinks made a small fortune.
And Bruce Seldon done rather well out of the Tyson bout, he is probably in the top 20 richest boxers ever.
Buster Douglas was on Howard Stern a few years back and said he got screwed in the Holyfield fight and only wound up with like $60,000, this out of some $20 million he was due. Sad.
roy jones never made the kind of money which his talent demanded I remember his career PPVs were like 165,000 180,000. the only ones he made money off of was the fight with ruiz and for the worst trilogy with tarver. when he fought ruiz, that was the first time he got $10 million and the PPVs were like 600,000. when he fought tarver the first fight had 300,000 buys. the second had 350,000 and the second one had 405,000.
I remember when roy was fighting ruiz he said, "Oscar De La Hoya can kiss my ass, I have to fight a heavyweight to make $10 million and he is getting $15 million for a tune up (Yory BoyCampas).
no doubt Oscar De La Hoya and Evander Holyfield are the richest boxers ever, but who is richer is a question of debate the only way one could get a precise figure is by looking at their balance sheets. Oh and the statement that Evander is worth $500 million is absurd he is prolly around the $300 million mark. not too sure about evander's endorsements but Oscar had endorsemnts from Budweiser, Gillette Co. McDonald's Corp. and BUM equipment and has purchased spanish newspapers La Opinion in Los Angeles and El Diario La Prensa in New York, also began a joint venture with Mervyn's, the San Francisco Bay-area-based department store chain for the Oscar De La Hoya Collection is his maiden venture into casual apparel and accessories for men and boys, has huge investments in real estate and of course there is GBP.
yeah Common is the TRUTH, im not saying that just cuz im born and raised in chi-town too. yeah youre right about circus he got alot of crap for making that album for the white hizzoes. i think it had that one decent track with mjb on it tho. if you want to get technical this was right after the break up with Eryka Badu so peeps say it F'd up his mind/style for a min. just like when she dumped Andre 3000 and he became all weird too. but yeah Commons back to his roots, his latest cd BE is pretty hot cuz kanye produced most of the tracks. he's still by far one of my most favorite emcees of all time. the quote is from Jada Kiss's WHY remix. it had Nas, Common and Jada and some other weak cat from RR on it. Nas has the best flow on it, but yeah Common's verse was pretty funny even tho it was not meant to be haaha. he was serious haahha.Quote:
