The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
So the IBF sent a letter to Floyd Mayweather congratulating him on the defeat of Zab Judah. After the praise he was told that he had 5 days to decide on whether or not he wanted to take a rematch with Judah...or be stripped of his title.
During the 90-120 days waiting period...he's not allowed to take another fight.
You Margarito junkies just got shatted out of your heroe's chance to make a statement.
Fwock the gotdam IBF & their crooked bullshat!!! You don't congratulate a man on becoming your champion & then on the next page threaten to strip him...
Floyd should not take this rematch...he should just fight/defeat Margarito & then move on...8 mill richer...but if I know my man...& I think that I do...he'll take the rematch.
Bullshat!

Fightnews has obtained a copy of the actual letter sent from the IBF to Floyd Mayweather Jr. via his promoter Top Rank ordering a rematch with Zab Judah. In it, IBF President Marian Muhammad congratulates Floyd on his win but calls the bout "tarnished by what I call one of the most abhorrent displays of unsportsmanlike conduct to occur in boxing [in regard to Roger Mayweather entering the ring to start a tenth round melee].....based on all the information available, the poll of IBF/USBA Board of Directors and my personal attendance at the fight of April 8, 2006 between Zab Judah and Floyd Mayweather, Jr., it is the decision and directive of the IBF that a rematch between Floyed Mayweather, Jr., and Zab Judah is ordered to take place within 90-120 days of April 8, 2006 or not later August 8, 2006 for the IBF Welterweight title. The Board is also directing that no intervening bouts should be contracted for by either boxer. Kindly let us know within the next 5 days as to whether or not you feel this bout can be negotiated so that we may move forward from that point." See the actual letter.

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
HEAL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
i thought he dominated ;) ;D ;D
he is afraid of judah, and thats why he wont fight him, you KNOW he wants money, and judah PBF 2 is at least a 5 times bigger draw then margarito, reguardless of this bullshit arum says about 8million
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
I picked option #1 & #2.
He should tell Judah & the IBF to go fwock themselves. He should then take that 8 million dollar offer & kick the living crap outta Margarito.
After that...I'd go for Oscar & Hatton...if they are busy...then I'd fight Cotto.
Judah does not deserve to make another dime offa Floyd's name.
Honestly...what the IBF is pulling is utter bullshat.
I am pretty shocked. You get a ruling & you have a man that fought through fouls & still won...& they threaten to strip him...fwock em...I'd let them have their piece of trash title...Don King owns that shat anyways...let that bitch have his way...give him the finger & walk.
Done deal...but Floyd's got too much pride to let it go.
We'll see a rematch before we see Mayweather vs Margarito...& that's a shame.

Yes heal. Floyd hurt his hand. After the hurt hand heals...we will see a rematch...if we don't...I'll be shocked.
To win a fight with a hurt hand? You know what...you convinced me...yep...Floyd dominated that bitch.
Thanks Sal...you convinced me...not about Judah being a bitch...I was already convinced of that...but that Floyd dominated Judah...thanks man.
Good lookin out Sal.

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
wait, so you think hes gonna rematch judah now or after another fight?
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
I picked option number one. The only problem with that is that the Judah fans would start saying that he is afraid of Judah (much like our friend Sal is already doing) which is simply ridicules. Floyd dominated that fight, he had Judah scared to throw punches in the later half of the fight, I mean he completely out classed the guy. Still I think that it is also a matter of principle, Floyd is no one's pupet and he does not need that fookin belt. There are so much better options out there for Mayweather. Fook the IBF!!!

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is undefeated, has fought and beaten many good fighters and is often mentioned as the best pound for pound fighter in the world. Promoters and world boxing organizations therefore want him, and in my opinion he can pretty much dictate his own terms for his fights. He should fight the best guys out there and not let himself get pushed around by Don King, the IBF or anyone of those suspect sanctioning bodies in boxing.

Unfortunately...I think he'll be stupid & do it now.
Could be wrong...but I honestly think that he'll do it now.
If he doesn't do it now...he won't do it in the future.

Judah Rematch = :cwm33: :beat: :gay-as-steelie: and the opposite of this: :thumb:
Anything but a Judah rematch = :dance1:

zab breaks his hands too but he doesn't use it as an excuse for not knocking somebody out ;) Floyd does. And why? because Mayweather cares how he appears in the ring and how he wins in the ring. HE WILL NEVER BE a Bernard Hopkins or a Roy Jones Jr, because they didn't give a shat how they won as long as they walked out with the W, it means something to Floyd and that is his biggest weakness.
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
:)
lets not forget his answer to "what happened in the 10th round" was
"um... i hurt my hand in that fight"

Why does he have to be B-Hop or RJJ? Right now he's blazing his own trail as he has ravaged every division he's fought in and he's working on 147(other then 140 which went to hot to flop overnight). Anyways, I have a feeling he won't give a rematch seeing as how the demand for Margarito and Hatton got turned up after this fight.
In a perfect world Hatton would keep busy at 147, maybe pick up the IBF belt in an interim fight while Mayweather takes on Margarito. Then the winners of both would match up at the end of the year.

Well what fault was that of Mayweather? I mean he was the one who remained cool and collected and stood in his corner while security did their job.

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
I'm saying he doesn't have their mentality. How he can say that he is greater then B-Hop is beyond me. He will never be greater then Hopkins in my eyes.
Muhammad responds to Arum!
By Karl Freitag
IBF President Marian Muhammad has responded to comments made by promoter Bob Arum to a Las Vegas newspaper (see below) concerning the IBF's ordering a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Zab Judah. "I'm sure Arum didn't think we were out of our minds when the IBF approved the fight between Judah and Mayweather. Did he think we were not credible when he fought Judah for the IBF title and 5 million plus dollars? If Bob has a problem with the directive, he could have called me out of courtesy. We've known each other for over 30 years. Instead, just like all the other cry babies in the business, he went to the press to paint the picture the way he wants it to look."

What is there to afraid of, he already beat Judah from ring post to ring post as your sissy boy couldn't/wouldn't fight and ran all night, because he knew he would get knocked out, and people want to say to say judah was the big puncher and an agressive fighter yet it was Floyd who stood in front of him and walked him down, You say Floyds afraid and I say your boy Judah probably does not want a rematch regardless of what he says to the people. You know he's a chump and dosen't want another ass whipping 3 times in a row, and thats exactly what would happen, but I would enjoy seeing it again just so the chump Judah can't get another belt handed to his sorry ass.

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
son, zab wants hatton or tszyu cuz he knows floys is scared, and he couldnt duck him any more if zab beat tszyu or hatton

For one I'm not your son, and both those fighters would just continue Zabs losing streaks, because he does not have the composer or mentality to handle either. Which means there would be nothing to duck except a 100% shot fighter by the name of Zab Judah. Give it up, your boy is done for a while, he's going to have to wait his and daddy's suspension.

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
he would KO either of them, and PBF is indeed afraid of him ;)

I could agree with you just so you would stop trying to lure everyone into this debate but I just can't do it, those 3 fighters have something Duper Judah will never have, that's heart and intelligence, hope that doesn't hurt your feelings. I would be upset if someone just called my son a dupe (or is that dope) Is your name really Yoel. ;D

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
heart?!?!?!?!
hey, zab never quit, and he wanted to continue against tszyu...
what happened in tszyu hatton?
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
lets not forget that zab never tried to join the "we beat up on old man chavez so it looks good on paper" club
thats why ODH is so highly rated... and tszyu too :D

One of the reasons Kostya is highly rated because he knocked your glass chinned wannabe pimp out and brought out his jazz-ballet skills (oh, I forgot, it was a bad stoppage)
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
damn straight it was a bad stoppage ;)

I'm not even sure if you are making serious comments any more. What would ever make you think that that was a bad stoppage? Are you pissed that they didn't pause the count so Judah could regain his equilibrium so he could stand straight up?

So you're saying thats his biggest accomplishment, bu then degrade the guy he KO'd which would make that accomplishment nothing wouldn't it ??? So I guess he'll be known as the guy who quit against Ricky Hatton then ;D

the mistake was that nady stopped the count the second that judah got on his feet
there should have been a standing 8 count >:mad

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
this thread amazes me...PBF handily beat Zab for 12 rounds. It wasn't close and it was a UD. Why would anyone want to see this fight again? What does this fight do for boxing or the welterweight class? Nothing. Considering the onesidedness of the fight why would PBF be scared of a rematch? This letter is just another sign of the corrupt alphabets and King. If Zab is every going to be championship caliber fighter again he needs to go back to the drawing board and rebuild his career. He is quickly turning into one of the biggest "woulda coulda shoulda but never did" fighters I've ever seen. He needs electrifying KO's over 2-4 fighters that offer name value and thats it. His best bet is get a couple of easy ones and hope to god Gatti wins. If Zab can get some good KO's under his belt the a championsihp bout against Gatti it would make sense, be a crowd pleaser, and he'd have a decent chance at a win. PBF needs to beat Margarito(no small task) and wait for ODH/Hatton/Cotto.

Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
look, take away glen hamada and dont pay off dave moretti and you got a SD win for zab ;)
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
sorry man I saw 8 rounds to 4 PBF maybe 7 rounds to 5...and I think they are both punks...regardless of the score did you really think it was a competitive close fight?
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
judah won the first AND the last
that establishes that he was NEVER completley out of the fight...
several rounds, including the 8th were close ;)
-
Re: The IBF congratulate Floyd on defeating Judah...then threaten to strip him!!!
the guy hits like a train so he is never out of any fight, but that doesn't make it competive or close enough to where a rematch is warranted
